This is a YouTube video titled "Safety is always the number one priority! ✨" containing a conversation recorded on August 4, 2025, discussing the importance of testing and tagging electrical equipment for workplace safety, featuring Brendan explaining the process and its implications.
And Brendan, why do we test and tag all these things?
Largely safety. So obviously, it's a health and safety requirement. Each business has an obligation under health and safety law to make sure their workplace is safe. So that is anything, essentially, that gets plugged into the wall, anything with a socket needs to be tested and tagged. That could be anything from appliances in your staff room. In this case, what we're doing here is obviously a battery charger, so we're just going to see if this one's okay.
What would happen if you don't test something?
It just depends. Anything can happen from fires, short circuits, staff being harmed. And that's when, of course, questions start to get asked if a business has actually taken all due diligence to keep their work environment safe.
So that's all safe.
That's all good to go.
