You have that ongoing support from us here at head office. If something goes wrong, we're just a phone call away. You can FaceTime us if you need us to see what's going on, we're always happy to help. Whereas if you start your own business, you're starting from complete scratch, you have to go out and find your own clientele, you've got to figure out your own problems. Pretty much anything that goes wrong, you've got to work out what, why essentially. And you don't have that office support of people who know what they're doing in the area to be able to help you out along the way. We've been doing this for a long time, so we know those processes are successful and are efficient in getting test and tagging done.
So, yeah, that cemented my decision just to stay with the local guys and pursue the franchise.
Each franchisee gets an area that we assign to us, comes with a map. You can see exactly where your borders are and all that kind of thing. So that's where I will concentrate my efforts on any leads that do come through, I believe that they will come through to our office and then get passed straight on to me because that's my area. I'm sick of getting my hands dirty my whole job. So this test and tag, that might be way of avoiding it. No, it's not. I get my hands dirty quite a lot. Because you are crawling around with the training.
You do get to see and go to places and do your on the job kind of training. You get to see the other side of it. You got to get into underneath tables and some pretty awkward spots.
So that experience day, I was iffy about it. You know, I wasn't going to sign up, I wasn't going to give him a deposit. I wasn't going to do anything until I had that experience day. Georgia. One phone call to Georgia, she organized it for me, met on site, and I think I was only there about an hour and a half, maybe two hours. And Jared just looked at me, asked me how I thought I'd go. I said, this is the job for me. I can see myself doing this. It's something I enjoy bringing him on board.
I've been supporting him through the whole process. We've had countless conversations. He always calls me with things that have gone wrong or questions that he's got. So I've been speaking with him a lot and then now doing his training. It's great to see how excited he is to be starting his own business and how eager he is to get out there and start working.
