So are you excited to know my top five keys on growing organically on Instagram in 2021? Stay tuned to find out. So let's talk about Instagram. A lot of people want to grow. I've seen so many people that I know have hit 100,000, some are at 70,000. It's just amazing to what they're achieving on Instagram. And you can achieve it too. Personally, I've grown my account to around 63,000 now and, and I'm super excited and I've done it only within a year and I'm still growing now. And I'm gonna share with you my top five tips that you can apply right now that's actually gonna help you. No bs, just pure strategies. Number one is content. Your content needs to be attractive. It needs to attract people's eyes and attention. Because there's so many creators out there, there's so much content out there, there's so much noise that everyone gets overwhelmed, right? They're all fighting for the same attention. So to really attract that audience, you need to create amazing content. There's so many subscriptions you can get out there. You can use Envato, you can use freepik. Even if you use Canva, there's like free resources on there. But try and find good imagery, whether it's like illustrations, 3D, you know, use bold colors, find your personal brand colors and stuff like that and just stick with that. And if you create interesting posts, then it's going to generate a lot of views and a lot of reach if people are liking and sharing that post. But the content has to be amazing. Secondly, the content has to be practical, right? For me personally, I focus on educational content. So it's very informational, it's very knowledge based. It's really helping beginners, as in designers, really get practical on how they can grow their freelance business, how they can do branding in a better way. But that's typically how I approach it. But find something where that you can teach through your content. The best place to do or teach is to. Is to teach from your experience. When you teach from experience, you can actually relate with people better on emotional level. And you can also think of ideas through your life experience, right? You might ask yourself like, oh, how do I get ideas? And the thing is, you might be too young, maybe you haven't experienced life enough yet. Like for me, I've gone to college, I've traveled the world, I've done all these cool different things. I used to dj, so I have interest in many different areas. And not only that, but I read books and take courses and that really helps me form ideas. And every day, so I never run out of ideas and I'm always creating content that's actually gonna be relevant to my audience. That brings me onto point number two. Key number two is consistency. If you're not consistent, you're not gonna stay top of mind. When we drive around, we always see the Big Macas m logo when we're hungry and we just want to drive in and buy a Big Mac. Right? It's the same thing when it comes to Instagram or social media. You actually need to constantly bombard your profile. So, so people can constantly see that logo, see that image, see that piece of content. And if you do have a good, a good identity with your colors, typography, people will notice your style. And then every time they see that person, like, oh yeah, I better check this out because I know it's gonna be good. Consistency is important because you want to be top of mind. The best thing for me is that I typically do Monday to Friday and I do carousels during that time. And then sometimes I'll mix up my content and maybe post like a quote or do like a question and answer on the weekends. But it just depends on you. The more you post, it's going to increase your chances of actually being found, being seen and actually gives you more chances to, for people to like and engage your profile. So make sure you're consistent, find what best suits you. If this is a part time thing, maybe do like Monday, Wednesday, Friday, so three days a week. If you focus on quality, then it's going to help you out. But if it's just focusing on quantity and your carousel designs are really badly designed, then it's not really gonna get the attention that you want. So be consistent, do a 90 day challenge, a hundred day challenge, whatever is comfortable for you to stick with and be disciplined, then do that. Number three is all about community. You need to focus on building your tribe, building your community and actually getting involved. A lot of people think it's just like, okay, if I just post content, people will magically come to my profile, they'll like my designs, they'll, they'll start to follow me. But it doesn't work like that. You actually have to go out there and engage with the community. So for example, follow the top 30 creators in your niche. You know, follow them, engage on their posts, but also look at who's commenting on that post and actually look at their profiles, comment on their work, start to Follow those people and be, you know, proactive in the comment section by giving free value. And, and once you do that a lot, every day, a few hours a day of giving value and connecting with others, it's going to give you a better chance of people noticing you and wanting to connect with you. Another thing to think about in the community is actually get involved in workshops, in live calls, do guest posts. If you can jump on other people's podcasts or other people's Instagram live calls, those can really help give you a boost in your audience because you're going to be tapping into other people's audiences. It's really gonna help you give that extra little kick when it comes to getting more reach. So, yeah, don't neglect the community. I would also say as well, make sure you get feedback from your audience. So get involved in your comments. Make sure you reply to people in your DMs as well. And this sort of leads me to key number four. It's actually engagement, right? If you're not engaging in your DMs and in your own comments on your posts, people are gonna feel neglected. They want you to feel that you're, you're paying attention to them, that they under. You're understanding them, that you care about them, that you want to help them grow, right? Because everyone's got problems bit. Either it's a beginner or someone who owns a business, right? So make sure you're staying engaged. Also in your stories, a good way to keep people engaged is actually do stickers or do like question answers or do polls because that's more interactive. And when people feel like they're interacting with you, it's like, oh, yeah, they're connecting with the creator. You, you know, they feel like they're belonging, they're involved in that little community, right? So think of some ways on how you can increase your engagement. You know, doing, being consistent and content. That's all good. But make sure you reply to DMs, reply to comments, and actually engage on other people's posts as well. Don't just be selfish. You got to be, have a general, general spirit. So you got to be a giver, right? You got to give more than you receive. And then lastly, key number five is video. For me, video has been a big, big part of my personal brand and my growth to Instagram. One of the strategies I do implement is actually doing a daily growth tip or a daily knowledge drop, right? So in the mornings, typically around 10 o' clock or, you know, when I have some free time during the morning session, I'll just jump on my stories and just drop four stories. I'll click the hands free button and put on my little tripod. My I got a phone tripod. I've got one here, but the other one's downstairs. But what I typically do is I'll start to share a tip or some advice, right? So because I've had a lot of life experiences, you know, I've learned a lot of things as well from, from, you know, friends and reading books and just learning through life. I always love helping others by sharing a growth tip. And it's very short, it's very easy, and it helps you build your confidence as well. Being on camera, you can't be shy. You have to get over the fear by taking the action. And just jumping on video and stories is the quickest, fastest and easiest way to actually implement that into your life. And then the other features I want to mention is that you can do IGTVs, you can do live calls, you can do reels now. They even have guides now, which is cool. Those aren't videos, but the rest are. And whenever Instagram releases a new feature, for example, reels, you want to jump on it straight away because what they want to do, they push out more reach for that feature because they want more people to use it and interact. And obviously like, yeah, they copied TikTok, but it doesn't matter at the end of the day. Use their features, use what they have. Mix it up with live calls. I love live calls because if you do a guest live call with another expert in your industry, typically what happens is you tap into their audience and you pretty much cross pollinate. And that helps you both help each other out, but each other up, but also get to build that friendship relationship with that person. So for example, sometimes I'll do causes like a content writer or maybe a salesperson. And now I have that connection. So if I need them to hire them for a project or maybe they have work they can't take on, they will send it to me. Or maybe they have a brand project that they don't design or they want to send it to me, then it opens doors for me to get more work and opportunities. Make sure you use video. Don't be scared. The best way to overcome is just take action. Practice. I encourage you to do stories. Try and do one a day and I'm sure you'll get the practice of it and you'll get used to it. So those are my top five keys to grow organically on Instagram in 2021. Make sure you take action. Don't just hear these things and not apply it, but apply these strategies and it's going to really, really help you.
