Short YouTube monologue by Jim Katsoulis arguing that many people who think they are "addicted to food" actually lack effective eating strategies. He gives a common example (skipping meals leads to evening bingeing), recommends strategic hunger management, and directs viewers to a hypnosis session and a ‘Three steps to mastering your weight’ video via a link in his bio.

Are you addicted to food or do you just have zero effective strategies for actually eating better? A lot of dieters I talk to think they may be addicted to food, but when we get into it, it turns out that not only do they have zero strategies for eating better, but the strategies they're relying on are actually creating all sorts of food addictions. The most common example of this is that dieter who tries to not eat breakfast, not eat lunch, and then put off eating for as long as possible until the point that they're absolutely starving and now they can't control their eating and they binge for the rest of the night. So it's things like this that cause you to think you may have a food addiction, when in real you just have a shitty strategy. Getting yourself starving and then trying to make a good food choice is almost impossible. Whereas if you managed your hunger strategically throughout the day, now it becomes easier to eat well throughout the evening. So instead of thinking that you're addicted to food, start questioning whether you have effective strategies. And if you don't know how to go about finding effective strategies, click on the link in my bio, get the hypnosis session and watch the video I made for you. Three steps to mastering your weight and I will show you some better strategies so that you can eat better and create the body you want to.
