How to eat better in social situations comes down to two key things, your mindset and your strategies. Let's talk about your mindset first. Usually when you're going into social situations, you're already anticipating that you're going to overeat because that's what you've done in the past. So the first thing you wanna do to get your mindset straight is to imagine walking into that social situation in a powerful state, as a powerful version of you who's focused, motivated, and calm, and imagine yourself in that scenario making the right choices. Now the second thing is the strategies you use. Do not walk into social situations really hungry. So before you go into the social situation, drink some water, have a small snack, eat something nourishing like a piece of fruit so that when you walk in there, you are not starving. When you do both these things, you're going to find it becomes much easier to start thriving in social situations that you used to struggle in.
