In this promotional announcement, psychologist and sex‑relationships educator Leah introduces a free, uniquely formatted online event she will co‑host with sex coach Viv Burke. Leah reflects on her two‑year experience running relationship webinars and explains why this new session is different: it will be a live Q&A where participants can submit anonymous questions. She critiques common societal myths that finding the “right person” automatically resolves relationship challenges, arguing that most people lack foundational education in communication, desire expression, and sexual self‑knowledge. Leah highlights how childhood experiences and trauma can leave adults “clumsy” in relationships, likening them to Edward Scissorhands, leading to repeated hurt and unfulfilling partnerships. She stresses the need for professional guidance—comparing relationship and sexuality education to learning to write, drive, or give birth with a teacher, instructor, or midwife. The invitation urges viewers to join the free event, assuring anonymity and emphasizing the hosts’ lifelong dedication to exploring and teaching healthy sexuality and relationships.

Hello, curious folk! I am Leah and I'm a psychologist and sex and relationships educator. I want to invite you to a very different event. So you may know I've been running webinars with a topic for a year and a half, maybe soon will be 2, I don't know. And this event is different because I'm inviting my colleague, sex coach Viv Burke, With her, we're going to sit there and answer your questions. Why is this important? Well, I've been brewing over the topic of relationships for a long time, but recently I had a conversation with someone and we reached the conclusion that realistically speaking, people's experiences in life, in their childhood, in their relationships later on really traumatize them in multiple ways, and people end up being like Edward Scissorhands, honestly. Hold me. I can't. And everything they try to do is clumsy in relationships at some point because of all of that baggage, and they end up hurting themselves, hurting others, And it's just a sad miserable story for a lot of people. And unfortunately we've been sold a lie that once you meet the right person everything will be easy and breezy. That the work is done. Well, I'm sorry, I'm gonna call this BS. Realistically we're not educated from the get-go of how to actually communicate, How to express desire, how to talk about our needs, how to explore our bodies, our sexuality. We're actually quite oppressed in that regard, and this is why people find it very difficult to have good, healthy relationships and get stuck in unhealthy relationships that are not fulfilling in any way. They just settle for what they think they deserve. And that's sad. So, think about it. When you're learning to write, you have a teacher. When you're learning to drive, you have a driving instructor. When you're setting up a business, you have a business mentor. When you're birthing a child, you have a midwife. All of these are professionals trying to help you do something that is perfectly normal and natural way of progressing through your life. Right? But why are so few people seeking out relationship and sex support of how to explore themselves, their relationships, their bodies, their sexuality? It's insane, you guys! Okay, I am passionate about this. It is super evident, right? So I want to invite you to this event that I'm running with Viv. Come along and ask us your questions, questions that really are here, close to your heart. And ask us anonymously. You don't have to give your name. You can message us anonymously and that's fine. But just tag along. Let us help you. We've dedicated our lives to learning, exploring, really digging deep into the fabric of sexuality and relationships. And we dedicate our lives to helping others. So let's, let's get together. Let us be there for you. Join us at this event. It's very different and it's free to join. Well, that's it for me. I hope I'll see you there. Bye. Bye.
