Start by naming the listener's core problem and showing you understand it. Skip the flashy stories. The first ten minutes should prove you get their struggle, then use your opening stories to build credibility before you make your offer feel like relief.

But also the most important thing you can do from the very top of the podcast is to identify the problem, but then deeply explain why you understand that problem. So when we start a podcast, a lot of times we're trying to be the most interesting person. It's just how it is. We want to say something interesting. We're like, oh, I'll start with that mic drop moment or that quote or that story. Yeah. But in the beginning, the first 10 minutes, what you want to do is think, How can I let my listener know I get them and I see them?
So it's strategically thinking about even how you're introducing yourself, the stories that set up your expertise, all of them aligning with where we wanna land the plane, which is making that offer feel like a relief to the person listening because they want more.
