Build a Monster Group

Free 5-day program starting July 31 teaches entrepreneurs to build engaged communities for product testing and sales without heavy ad spend. One fishing group grew to 16-20k members; another pulled $3.5k in five days and $35k on Black Friday. Speakers share strategies for high opt-in rates and low chargebacks.
Questions this video answers

Hey, we are live across the Internet. Madison, how you doing?
Technically, we are live across the world.
Across the world. We had the map the other day, right? Between where you are in the world and where I am, and there's a. There's a big old gap. Right. So, yes, I'm. I'm impressed. Then in the uk, where exactly are you?
Central Oregon in the United States.
So. So there's a big old gap between us, and the Internet manages to bring us together. And some folks may recognize. You, may recognize me from different things on the Internet, but we. We've recently teamed up to put something awesome together for folks, right?
Yes.
What awesome things have we put together for folks? Because normally people come on here on my show and we show them funnels or advertising or Facebook or all sorts of stuff where you can go and kind of make money online. Since we've met, there's been one sort of specific focus. Right. Do you want to tell folks about what we're going to be doing on. On this little show?
Yeah, well, I. I mean, I think when. When I was introduced to you through the CF Geekout group, I thought, you know, I was at the point where I was like, man, I've tried everything, you know, I've spent a hundred thousand dollars learning and trying and testing, and nothing worked. And I was at that point, I'm like, do I just give up on this? Like, do I just stop this online business thing? And. And you came with your magic fishbowl funnel. And I'm like, what am I. What am I gonna lose at the end of the day? Right? I'm okay, I'm gonna take a little bit of time and I'll try this thing. And. And I thought that there would be three people that would actually opt into this funnel. And I knew it was going to be probably me testing it, my dad and my mom's best friend. And I'm like, well, at the end of the day, her granddaughter's gonna win the prize. And I think when I hit 10 people and I knew none of them, and then it was 50, then it was 100, then it was 300 in two weeks. And then it was like, I stopped keeping track. And it was like 50 people a day. And. And it changed absolutely everything in my business. And. And we kind of realized, we're like, man, people need this. People need to know how to do this, because you can struggle day in and day out. And as, like, as an entrepreneur solopreneur, I think progress is the kryptonite to, you know, a Dream a business because you don't see progress and you give up and you doubt stuff and you try different things and, and this strategy has worked time and time again and it's time for people to, to learn it and to actually see something happen in their business.
Yeah. And, and I've kind of been, you know, going live three times a week, sort of flogging this thing as like, you know, hey, this thing works. And we did it in the, in the fishing group and we've done it in this thing. And you obviously picked that up and you ran with it and you know, over the last couple of months, you've had these insane results, but I've been having insane results as as usual, because this, this thing kind of works. And we sort of got together and we had a little interview and we sort of had this, this conversation and the, the pennies kind of drop, right, that we've got something here. Because look, you're, you, like you said you spent 100 grand on, on stuff. And your marketing skills are clearly, like up there, right? Because you can build the funnels, you can do the, the ads, you can do all of this stuff. But it was just that, what am I missing to make these projects work? And it's almost like these two things have come together.
Yeah, totally. I mean, you can, you can sell anything online, right? You can get people to buy anything. Can you afford to sell it to them is really the question. And that is where I got with, like the E Commerce stuff. You know, I made five grand in a month selling print on demand products. It cost me five grand to sell those five grand in products.
And that's, that's the trouble, right?
Yeah. Because as like an entrepreneur, you're sitting here, especially if it's something you're, you actually have to do. Like, I was making these custom canvases and you're like, man, it's a cool product. Like, people are, they're buying it. But I'm doing all this work and I'm, I'm lucky if I'm making 50 cents on it.
Well, this is, this was the, the trouble. And, and we, we did the, the fishing thing and you've got to buy this stuff, right? So you, your supplier comes along and the rep comes in his shirt and they sort of sit down with you and they're like, hey, this is our catalog. And they go through the catalog and you're like, well, that's awesome. And what they generally do is they have what they call a markup, right? So it's 1, 1.8 is, is the markup. So that's what, that's what you're working with, right? So the one is what you've paid for it. And the point a is, is, you know, basically on top. So you've only got a limited margin to work with. So when you start firing off Facebook ads and you start to run Google Ads, the cost selling something, for example, we could sell something that costs. Costs like £5 retail price, but the cost of the ad would be 18, 20 pounds.
Yeah, totally. Yeah. Yeah. And it's like, you get to that point, like, you've spent the money. Like, you start out, you're all excited, right? You're like, this is gonna work. This is gonna be awesome. And you get that first, like, Shopify ding.
Yeah.
Which is like the high you get as an entrepreneur. And then maybe you've hit with that's taken, you know, let's say $5. And now you've. You've just gone through and you're like, all right now, now where's the next one?
Where's.
Where's the next one coming from? And then all of a sudden you get to this point and you just get more and more frustrated with it, and you're like, all right, I will give you my hundred dollars Facebook, but you gotta give me at least 50 of it back. And when you get. And then, you know, then that doesn't happen. You're like, oh, man, this is. This is terrible.
Yeah. And I think the other thing that people kind of forget about is you've got to ship this stuff. Right. Because we're talking about. We've done a lot of stuff in physical products that we. We know this works with affiliate products, works with coaching products, works with digital products as well, which is even better because you keep more of the money. But if you've got to ship this stuff. So now my little 0.8 that I've got to play with, all it takes is a competitor to slice the price, then the shipping, then the ad, and your Shopify could be dinging all day long. But if it's dinging in negative equity, you're not making any money. Or in fact, you're actually giving money away.
Yeah, well, or you get. You get to the point and you're like, man, if I just increased my conversion rate 1%, I'd make this X amount of money. So let's try free shipping. Well, now you get to that point and you don't. You don't see. Really see results. Now you're paying the shipping on it. Or you're like, facebook ads are going up. Which, this is my experience. I got Facebook ad costs going up. Let's increase the price of the profit, the product. Right. So we'll increase the price. Now my conversion rate tanks, and it's like, man, if I kept it at that same price or had that same conversion rate, I would have made, you know, 1500 bucks instead of losing it.
Yep. And if you're selling something that's competitive, all it takes is that competitor to say, hey, we're going to do a 20% off coupon. And people savvy, right. They're not just going to come and buy your thing for 100 bucks if somebody's selling it for 80 or trying.
To create new products and you think it's what people want, and you just. You have no idea. And it's like, I've. I've created a lot of things for me, and I'm like, this is cool. It's like, why are other people not buying it? And I think that's the power. When we get. When that, that, that epiphany, like, you know, you say those petting drops, and that's what hit me. When we. When you talked in Geek Out, I'm like, why wouldn't I have a group of people that I could product test with? I don't need to build this out. I don't even need to build a product page in Shopify. I can say, do you guys want this one or do you want this one? And let them tell me which ones they want to buy.
And of course, if you, if you can build a community around your product, around your business. Once you've got that, those folks are in there to stare. Right. And you've done this with. With the softball, and you've done this with. With craft. We've got people doing this with music and guitar and digital products, affiliate products. I've got it going on with the F. And all of these things are profitable businesses with lots and lots of people interested. And I guess we've sort of sat down and. And, you know, instead of having crickets in the background, we've got a way to go out there and. And have a big impact. Right. And. And give people almost instant results without burning the money on ads. And so you can actually return some of that margin. It would have been unfair of us to keep this stuff to ourselves.
Yeah, no, totally. I mean, I think just like. And I've talked to a lot of entrepreneurs who are struggling, a lot of people who are just Trying to figure this out. And they're just hoping, like around the corner there is that magic wand, that magic thing that's going to change everything. And all I can say is this did it for me. This is for my business. I mean, I, you know, obviously I built a group. I built a group rapidly. Almost 800 people in a little over 30 days, spending less than 250 in ads. I know you did it all organically, but I, I found out that the people in the group wanted something completely different than what I thought I was going to offer them. Like, I put up a poll and I'm like, what do you guys want? And they said, t shirts. I'm like, no, no, you can't sell T shirts online. You can't afford to sell T shirts online. Then I'm like, wait, I actually can do that because I'm not paying Facebook $20. Having to pay, you know, a print on demand supplier 15 to make it and ship it. And now I'm upside down. 15, 10, $15 on it.
So you, you can figure out a way to make money if the audience is there.
Yeah. And it's just a completely different way of thinking about it. Especially you think about ecom products.
Yeah. And, and there's a lot of people in the sort of funnels world where, you know, these guys are not coaches, they're not the affiliates, they're not the digital product sellers. These guys have actually got a physical product and they are bound by the, the margin, by that 1.8, by the shipping, by the ads cost. And look, it only takes the courier to lose your item or to be printed incorrectly.
Yes.
And, and you, you kind of stuff there. Right. So from a marketing perspective, a lot of the gurus will literally come online and say, hey, run Facebook ads and you can sell anything. But like you said, that is going to balance itself or indeed be more into ads than you get out at the end of it. Once you've paid for the thing, you've shipped the thing and you've, you've dealt with the returns and the losses and all of that sort of stuff.
Yeah, I mean, I, I have found you can sell anything with Facebook ads. You know, are you willing to spend 800 to sell one 20 item? Like if you keep putting the money in that Facebook slot machine at, sometimes it's gonna pay out, but it's not going to be a jackpot.
No. There was a guy we worked with a few years ago and he was selling Moscow mule cups. Right. So he's got all of these Brass. Is it copper? Right, the copper cups, right? You make your, your Mosc cocktail in their lashings of vodka or whatever, you know, they putting in this thing. And he bought like a thousand of these suckers and he's then going to stock them in the Amazon warehouse. So now straight away, this is eating his, his mule money from morning, right? So as soon as he's going to put these things in Amazon, they're like, hey, yeah, we'll, we'll store this stuff for you. We all know where that ends. Then they take 15% of his sales should he choose to sell, should he actually sell them? And he came to me and he was like, this is not working for me in Amazon. And it's like eating me money and it's costing me a lot. Like, I've actually give Amazon more than these things are worth and I've not really sold many. It's super competitive. I want to try Facebook ads. In the end, he, he went on and I think he became a clickfunnels affiliate and he just like packed it in all together. And I'm not even sure if he got these things back because there was so few, you know, opportunities in that, in that business model. Because he was paying Amazon, he's paying the storage, he was paying the fee. He wasn't selling them. Then he was trying the ads and he couldn't get that to work and everything was just costing him money.
Well, you talk about actually eating a product and profit. So my audience knows that I have a toy Australian shepherd named Rowdy. And one day Rowdy said he wanted to be an Instagram influencer. Technically, he didn't say that. We thought it would be a cute little joke, though. And, you know, playing that Instagram game, playing that content creation game, and you're like, where's the money going to come from this? And so we thought, you know, Rowdy could sell dog treats. And so we found a drop shipper and, and ran some Facebook ads, made a super cute video. Sold so many in, you know, about a weekend that the drop shipper didn't have enough of them. We're like, we're on to something here. Let's get the treats and we'll fulfill them. It'll be a better experience. We can throw little things in with them. Took eight months to find a wholesaler that would allow us to have a license, even though we have a business license. We have a place, we have a warehouse, our neighbor has one, he has a forklift, we have everything. But not having a physical address that's a business. What they need a business now. Came to the point, finally found somebody. It's a 500 minimum order. That's fine.
Yeah.
We were like, we're gonna sell these the rate we sold before. We're gonna sell these out in a weekend. This was like the end of June. I'm like, I'm gonna have to order again because 4th of July is coming. I'm gonna be out of them by then. And at that point, Facebook ads had completely changed, and Rowdy basically ate all of his product, all of his profits. We did get cheap dog treats, but y. With that tradition, just trying to go through a funnel with Facebook ads. It came to the point you couldn't. I couldn't afford to sell them.
Yeah. I've seen so many people. There was a guy who was selling like, you know, like your stroller for your baby, Right. You put your baby in the stroller. He had these hooks that you kind of hang on the side and you can hang like bags and I don't know, you either. Some kind of crap that you want to hang up the side of your stroller was. You're pushing it along. He thought that this was the best product ever. He had all these things connected. The cost of the ad was insane.
Yeah.
Never worked out for him. Shut that thing down. And how many people are doing the stroller hooks, the dog treats, the Moscow mule cups, the T shirt, all of.
These, The T shirt, the print on demand products, the. You know that part of it. You got to come up with a design and then put it on a product and hope that people want both of it combined.
Yeah. And you've hit on a. A point there. Right. You've got to pay the minimum order quantity. You can't just test this thing. You've got to spend ages on the phone or the wholesaler and all the rest of it. So by the time you've even got to the advertising part and you've built all of this stuff, you've got your forklift truck and your infrastructure and you've got your license and you've got like all these things, this thing might not even work.
Well. Even. Even. Even if you're just going straight print on demand, right? So you got to come up with a design or you got to pay a designer. So let's say that is. Say that takes a day. That's a hundred dollars right there. Or you're gonna pay a designer $100. Then you go through and you. You put it on the product. Maybe you have some type of personalization with it. You got to use a personalization app now that costs you 15amonth. Then you, you put it on Shopify. You've now you've spent, let's. Let's say figuratively, right? Three days, $300 and you're gonna try to make $10 profit on it. Now you got to go through and run the Facebook ads and you're upside down. You don't even know if anybody wants this product.
Yeah, it's, it's crazy. And look, we, for some insane reason, you know, I'm obviously love fishing, right? And I've been doing fishing for years, and I've always dabbled in the, in the fishing game. And I was running around teaching people how to build websites and funnels and all the rest of it, and I traveled all over the place and I was like, look, I really need a business to base my teachings on. Wouldn't it be cool if we could do something in fishing? And this is like possibly one of the most hardest to break into industries in the UK where there's only a small amount of customers and you, you've almost got to break in like the fireman breaks into the door when this, this thing's on fire. And the first thing that you, you met with is like the most fierce resistance. And we didn't, didn't want to like throw all the money into that fire. And we certainly. Because I, look, I hate running ads because I know that as soon as you start running the ad, you're going to start burning your money. And all of those things that we've just discussed, right? And there's people maybe watching this now thinking, oh man, all I do is burn money on ads. You ever notice how these, the ad gurus are never actually, like, they only show you how to run ads, right? It's like, this is how we run ads. But like, what are you running the ad for?
I can see you gotta have a winning product first. You gotta have a product somebody wants to buy.
This is the thing. And chances are Fox can get that on Amazon, right? Yeah, but there's a thing in the, in the fishing game where you can get the same stuff on Amazon or you can get it cheaper, or it's on ebay. It's very, very tightly controlled stock, and there's only a finite number of people and it's fiercely defended. And it's like really hard. And nobody had really heard of me. Yeah, I went fishing. But, you know, you sat on a lake in a tent and no one knows where you are and they don't even know your face. And we went from literally zero to a group of approaching 20,000 people that's dropped down a little bit over the last year or so deliberately because we've removed some people and balanced it out. It's always stayed around 16, 17, 000 people in this group. And we've leveraged that and, and done like millions and dollars in sales, but without sacrificing the margin on the ads. We reinvested. We gave stuff away. We did some crazy stuff. But the velocity that we broke into that market, like the sheer speed and tested crazy ideas. We got some stuff right. We, you know, we got a lot of stuff wrong. But the ability to be able to go in there and test without burning the ad spend would.
Yeah, the time getting the products or making the products or even making the, the mockups. And I mean, I got pretty good at Shopify. Like, I was. I could build a Shopify store in three days. Like, I, I took that as a little bit of like a, you know, a badge of honor. And it's like you get to the point and you're making five to six mockups doing different things like that. I couldn't get a product launch from design to on the store ready to sell. Like me making a test purchase in a day.
Yep.
So how can you test 10 of them in a week if you barely. And hey, there's probably people on there that say they can do it, but, you know, if you're just pulling a graphic from, you know, like, say, let's like take freepix.com right. And we see so many of these print on demand products that just pull these graphics and maybe they're meant for a T shirt and everybody's selling the same grandpa T shirt or the same. Something like that. Yeah, maybe. Yeah, you could get a product done like that in a day or under a day. But then how do you can't test multiple products because at the end of it, you're like, man, I've. I've already. I'm exhausted. I've only made three products.
Yeah. So you're gonna kill yourself either in time or something. So to be able to test that audience. Look, when we started out, we didn't even have a product. Right. And it was only after a few, like, weeks that we started to buy products to sell back to the audience. We grew that group to like 3, 000 people in like four weeks. And I, I kind of want to show people how we did that. And then now, like, there's like I said, there's 16, 000, 17000 people in there, millions in sales. And we. I sort of came back to the marketing earlier this year and as you know, I work with Clickfunnels and I'm doing a big bunch of crazy stuff right now. And I've been doing all this marketing. Stu. We kind of let the group to ruins. Right. We left it for a little while and I didn't really know where I'm gonna go with this, but I think speaking to you and speaking to a few other people and just seeing like the value in. In, you know, we don't want to leave these guys. We love these guys. Do you know what I mean? So recently, very recently, like last week, I put my foot back on the gas in the group and you want to see something crazy?
Yeah, show them. I've already seen it, but show them.
Saw something crazy. Right. So this was a post from this morning that reached like no ads. It's like zero ads. Right. This is just a post in the group from this morning asking people to show the pictures. And that reached nearly 6,000 people since like 10 hours ago. And it's hard. Yeah, it's had some likes, but the point was there's 106 comments and that is kind of like the old days of Facebook. Right. So we've just gone in the group, we've posted some stuff, we've had this like massive reach, massive engagement and actual comments, people wanting to engage with the business. And we also ran a couple of little offers and that's done in about five days. About three and a half thousand in US dollars without any ad spend at all. No retargeting ads, no anything. Just the group. Right. And that's from like no content in there at all.
Right. And that was all that. A lot of that stuff was you were going to get in trouble with your wife for keeping it at the house any longer. So you got out of the doghouse for moving that, moving all that stuff.
Yep. So we've. We've got stuff all over the place from this and it's like, you know, I know where my look, I've kind of got a couple of focuses, right. But I love this stuff. I love the marketing, but we can't leave the fishing guys and I still going to go fishing. And it's kind of like, well look, is there still life in this thing? And lo and behold, there is. And it's given me this amazing feeling that, you know, we did a live in there, we had A ridiculous amount of comments. I did a live in there just literally yesterday. And, and you know, we had, man, I, I find the live in, in the thing. 251 Comments on the Live. Right? That's like crazy. And we did a little offer on the Live and that's contributed towards that insane amount of money. So we, we've got a group, we've done some lives, we've put some posts in. It's all based around our weird niche and it's rolling. And I know that if we're consistent with this and we keep moving, then there's potential to make some money by making people happy. And I guess that's the kind of the question that we're asking people right now. If we could give folks a mechanism to build a group or a community, it could even be like on a different platform. Right. It doesn't have to be Facebook. Build this community, test the product real quick without any ads, and build insane engagement where like you said, the power went off, right? You're doing a live and your power's gone off. And then folks were still waiting.
Yeah. I mean, there was even one guy waiting on. He's like, where'd you go, dude? I was, the sad thing was I switched the screen. I was gonna do like a screen share thing and it went like. And I'm like, oh, man. But the whole reason I started my softball group is I grew up playing softball. My. I am who I am because of Washington Husky softball. And I saw these parents having to pay thousands of dollars to recruiting services. And I'm like, man, these people are kind of like, they're shysters, basically. They're like, yeah, if you don't buy our top $10,000 package, your daughter's not getting recruited. And I'm like, I don't understand. This is just marketing. It's just getting attention for your business is the same as getting attention for your child. And I'm like, I can actually help these people show them this way. And I mean, yeah, I sell, I sell products, right? But at the end of the day, these just go to make the giveaways bigger, to make the group cooler, to be able. I want to, I want to get to the point where, you know, we're, we're, we're sponsoring kids to go to camps, we're giving away big time thousand dollar packages. And, and you said, you hinted on this, the community and the fulfillment side of it. And I had actually had somebody in the group that, that won a pop up price. Right. I didn't I didn't think that these would really have an impact. And his daughter had her first softball game, got canceled. I mean, I'm getting goosebumps even telling this story. And he said that that package, that little thing that I just put together, it came on that day and it, it lightened, brightened her day and, and made the complete difference. And at the end of the day, like, yeah, we make money on this, but money doesn't matter. It's connections, it's people, it's doing good things. And, and that's what you get with a community instead of just running Facebook ads to somebody.
Yeah. And, and I think, you know, one, one of our guys, he said if it wasn't for our fishing group, who. He was all lonely and sitting in his house and he kind of implied that he might not be with us anymore. And he was thinking dark thoughts. And then the fishing group, he met some friends and he went out fishing for the first time. And you know, if you think that, you know, some dude's potentially going to go out and like, be lonely and you know, who knows what would have happened. And then all of a sudden some crazy dude with the beards appeared and give like some stuff away and had some fun. And you know, we've not been focused on the money, we've been focused on the people, but the money naturally came. Yeah, we've kind of got an obligation to teach people how to do this stuff. Right.
Yeah. I mean, I think, I think when we look at like the impact and obviously we're business owners, we're entrepreneurs, we are going to profit from this. But at the end of the day, if we can provide more value and help you in the direction, you know, you can go and pay somebody who's not going to give you that, who's just going to take your money. Empty promises. Or allow us the opportunity to show you something for free, five days, we'll walk you through it. Obviously there's an opportunity for you to get more support, more help more of us if you choose to. And I think, I think we'd honestly be doing people a disservice if we said go and watch all these YouTube videos, you know, go sign up for that guy's, you know, ten thousand dollar course and, and end up with just empty promises. Because let's face it, we've taken those courses, we've been there, we've been those people.
Yeah. And, and look, you know, well, let's put the thing on the screen because in, in a nutshell, really, we've We've put together something that is kind of fun. Right. So it's still, still carrying the, the, the flavor and the fun.
We put together a little monstrous.
Yeah, a little, A little bit monstrous. We've got some monstrosity going on. Right. He's getting monster in there. A scary time. Now the, in the actual fishing group with the Halloween stuff that we did that was insane and I'd be great to teach people how to do this. But what we've put together something that is pretty cool, right? We've made a big bunch of money. You've made a bunch of money. I've tested this with like 10 different types of business. And the digital, the affiliate stuff, the coaching, it kind of work in a lot of things. We love it with the physical products because it preserves that margin. But with all of these sales and helping people in weird niche Facebook groups, from softball to guitar to affiliate marketing and fishing and back again twice. We've always kind of been asked, well, how do you do it? I've been showing people bits. You've been showing people bits. We've been on different lives and all the rest of it, but over this last six weeks we've worked together and we've really like get this down to the, to the, the sort of like the brass tax as they say, to give people an opportunity to learn this stuff in a structured way. Right. That's kind of where we're going with this.
Well, and I, I should add in here, I did mine with ads. I was getting 10 cent leads, actual emails through my funnel. I, I caused a little bit of a stir in the clickfunnels group last week when I said I had 178 opt in rate, which is true. People say you can only get 100. I'm like, these people want this so bad. Like they're coming to my group twice, basically. So I think like we talked about, you know, us, this partnership and what we could provide is you did yours all organically and I brought mine in with five dollar a day ads. Yeah. Getting crazy. 30 cents of people joining my group. And, and for those people that say I don't want to do it organically, I don't want to DM people, I don't want to post in groups, you know, then, then use the ads. You're either gonna pay for it or with time or money.
Yeah. And look, let's, let's be clear on that though, that there was no DMing involved. This is like we've literally. Man, I don't wanna, I don't want to start teaching people exactly how to do it right now. You need to join the challenge. Right? But this thing's going to be free. It's gonna be five days. It starts on 31st of July, have absolutely nothing to lose, and all you need to do is go to monster groupchallenge.com the link is around the video somewhere, and you can sign up, you can register, and you're going to get access to 5 days of learning from us, from some guest speakers as well. And we're going to literally walk you through. If you want to do the ads, you can do the ads, you can do the organic. Do the organic. You can combine these together and this will work in cosmetics, it'll work in golf, it'll work in fishing, it'll work in camping, outdoor accessories. You know, I know the. A guy who, who makes like 50 million on archery products, right? It's an insane amount of money that these guys are making on archery products, but they have to pay for that dearly because they're on Amazon and it's, you know, we, we. It's hard to sell that in the uk. Over in the States, they're doing this stuff, but they make you 15 million, right? And. And I'm sure that that percentage doesn't mean much. The margins will be there. But imagine if you could save your 15% of 15 million and do it this way and retain a group of crazy archery fans.
Yeah, totally. Yeah. And I should clarify, Danny is very anti dm, but, man, how many times do we hear people say, you just DM people. That's how you grow your business. And who wants to be that person?
You don't want to be that guy. Right? And, and we are, like, actively, like, removing people from the groups that I manage because you get a complaint, right? Somebody opens like a Zendesk ticket and they're like, hey, this guy's been DMing me and then emailing my work. And my employer is not supposed to know that I've got this crazy side hustle or, you know, whatever it is. And you think, oh, man. And it's the same old suspects that go into all the groups and the DMing everybody and they're just polluting the inbox. Do you even buy off these guys? I. I don't know.
Yeah. You know, they poison the well so bad. It's, it's, it's the, it's that type of, of individual who, who does the type of sleazy barking. The sleazy advertisement that. And I think that's like the beauty of why this works, right, is because we think about advertising. Used to be seven times they had interact with you before they would buy. Now it's like upwards of 20 because of all of those tactics, all of those people. But when you can actually build a community and you can show up and you can provide value first and then you're not that sleazy person that's coming in asking for the sale every time, you're like, hey, you want to support this? You want to support me, you want something cool that I'm actually going to ship to you, you're actually going to get it, then here's the opportunity to buy. And, and I think that's what we do live. I mean, try to do, try to be those. You don't want to be a used car salesman. But at the end of the day, you know, this world revolves around money and you got to make some to.
You'Ve got, you've got to make some money, right? And look, if we can show you in five days how to spend very little money to break into a hard niche or an easy niche, right? Or, or somewhere that's oversaturated with these DMers or, you know, the ad cost is super high, whatever it is, you'll have a set of future proof skills that you can use to generate leads. But once you generate the lead, you keep the person and they become like, loyal. We even have guys sending us like gifts at Christmas, right? We, we.
Listen, I should, I should say all of my softball group friends who are watching this on my personal page. I'm open to gifts. You guys, you just DM me. That's okay. You can DM me for this one. Ask for the address. I can send you an Amazon wish list. I'm completely joking. But you know, gifts are appreciated.
The, the crazy story was, man, this is something that was actually done behind my back by our community, right? This, this was kind of insane. And we have a subgroup of our main group. And what I want to do is I'm just going to show you this real quick, right? This is the extent that our community went to, right? So you can imagine we teach you in five days how to build a community that's so crazy that people are going to do weird stuff for you as a thank you and give you money that's going to be worth like giving us normally to learn this stuff. Why are we not charging for this, Madison? I have no idea. We're kind of generous, right?
We're trying not to give it away, right? Now, yeah.
Try not to give it away. Right. This on the screen right now is Fred. And Fred is a doll. And one of our amazing sort of like customers or loyal fans made Fred, right? And not only did she make Fred, she's dressed him all up and branded him. He's got his own little hoodie and claws and like little headphones and he travels around in like a fishing box and he's got his own little fishing rod and he's got like this leather bound like book. And this lady Rita, who's like a lovely and her husband Ian, they literally sent Fred on a trip around the world. He, he went to Texas, right? And he, he's gone around all these different places with different anglers from our community and we didn't know anything about this. So Fred has actually traveled around the place and you can see some of the stuff on, on the screen going down. He's got his own little page that they've kind of set up for him and they came to a shop and actually presented Fred to us and he's literally got the, the book with all the stamps in from all these fisheries. And he's like, he's traveled more places than I've ever traveled at that point. And I was like, oh man, Fred's like a hero. But somebody from our group has taken it upon themselves to thank us and they didn't expect us to counteract that because we just got like this most expensive like fishing thing and we just said, here, take it. And everybody was like crying and stuff like that and we just have this, this crazy thing. But if you even got 1% of the like what we've had, it would be worth taking this challenge, right? So you've got this foolproof way to launch and scale in any niche without ads or much money down, without having to post content 10 times a day or do all this dming business. It's even in the hardest niches and these skills that last forever. One of our customers spent 35 grand with us over the lifetime of the customer, right?
Yep.
That's pretty cool. And we've got insane reviews and we've made a bunch of money and we've got crazy opt in rates. There's your 175% on, on the screen.
Yeah, it went up to 178% but.
Yes, that's unheard of. Right. So the, the, the, the percentage generally goes down is like this is going up. People are like thirsty for this. Just like the little monster that's jumping around in the, in, in the Money. You'll also note that the dispute activity, like the level of chargebacks across this whole business in like millions of dollars of sales was 0.01. And I actually know the guy and why he did it.
One guy, I should say. I don't have a, you know, an army of bots just going through and opting into my funnel. Those, I mean, those are completely. I got to the point I didn't even look at the ads anymore. I didn't even look at the stats of the funnel. I just saw people coming into my group and interacting. And, you know, you. You invite them on a post and it's, It's. I mean, I probably have 80 of the people who are getting invited in the group post about why they're there. They add a photo of their daughter or their team that they coach or different engage in that post. And who has that on a. A regular Facebook page?
Yeah, you don't get that on your ads though, right? You get some, like, troll guy comes on and goes, get off my news feed. Die. And you're like, oh, man, that's all I was trying to do is sell some stuff. And now you've got these crazy stuff. Like, yeah, you do get the odd crazy. But, you know, we've got this passion for marketing. We're business owners. At the end of the day, I need to figure out a way to make this stuff work, otherwise I'm going to go broke in the process. And it's definitely not the same old, same old, same old. Right? It's. It's something new. It's exciting, it's fun, you know, engaging with people. You're having conversations. You can test what's working. And we've laid this out into five days, and we're doing it, and we're going to do it if there's two people or 200 people or 2,000 people, and it's going to be awesome. And we're going to record this and we're not going to, like, charge you for this. It's just going to come and you can do it for free and you're going to learn all this stuff and then you can go and have some similar success. Right?
Totally.
I'm saying that now and I'm thinking, are we insane?
Well, I, I think we could, we could say, you know, hey, if you don't see success with it, we'll. We will give you your free money back.
Yeah, we'll give you free money if you. So if it doesn't work for you, you can have nothing back. You've got, you've got that, you've had that, you've had the time, you've had the skills. But I know from working with this for so long, we lived and breathed this stuff. It works with E Comm, it works with physical gods. It works with, you know, shops and coaches and marketers and digital stuff for, like, anybody who's got the. Who's prepared to take a little bit of a detour on what the gurus are teaching right now.
If you implement it, it will work.
Yeah. Do you think we become gurus? It's like, are we the fishbowl gurus or the, like, the. The monster group gurus? I don't know.
We'll see come funnel hacking live. If everybody's like, hey, there's the fishbowl people. I got to get their photo.
Yeah, the crazy fish people. You know, if you're working with clients, this would work. And there are some big companies that I'm talking to right now that are interested in doing this stuff. And look, you're starting off from fresh with no members, no users. You don't need a product to start this. We literally, you know, started this off so simple. I'm just going to show you in the, in the. The challenge, right, because we're running out of time. You're gonna get five days of learning. And there's an option to get the VIP if you want the questions and answers and all the rest of it, you know, even stay even longer and get even more out of us. Like, they could, like, drain the. The goodness.
And we, we probably will show you how to actually, like, in the vip, come with your business. We're probably going to tell you what, what we would do if we were in your. Your chair, because that's, that's just how we want to help people and, and the ideas flow and, and sometimes we. I can't hold them back. I am. I've never been able to keep secrets, so.
No, we're not good at keeping secrets.
Right.
And, well, we've got. Also got some speakers and all homework, accountability, and it's in. There's groups. Would you believe it? And, you know, we're actually going to go crazy with this over the next. Like when you're watching this is like July 9th, right? So by the time we get to 31st, we're going to go crazy with this and actually use some of the. The methods. So you might see this live, you might see this on the replay, you might see this chopped up into reels or on ads. Or whatever we're doing to tell people about this. You might have a friendly face. Who's. Who's let you know, because we've got a lot of people supporting this one. Maybe one of the speakers is going to share it for us. We. We have ways of making people do what we want. Right.
And then if you come and show up, you have the chance to win. What is it, like $5,000 worth of marketing and business resources? Is it 5 or 10 or 15? I. I can't keep track anymore because we keep throwing things into that.
Yeah, we've got a big bunch of resources that we're adding to this as well. And that's kind of crazy. Right. So somebody is going to be chosen to win some stuff, which is pretty cool, but you're not going to know until the last day.
Yep. And of course, we're going to tell you the case studies, what we've tested, how it's worked. Try. I mean, we've gone through and tried to break this thing. I mean, I thought maybe my softball thing works because I gave away 500 item. And at the end of the day, that, that wasn't, you know, I was like, can I break this framework? Can I break this theory? And I have not found a way to break it yet. So, no.
Like I said, we've just gone back in there and done some crazy stuff in our group, which we're going to teach you. And. And would you believe we've done three and a half grand in sales, had insane engagement, people going crazy. We've got the lives of lit up like a Christmas tree, and it's all based on a. A plan. And you kind of got like, Les Brown. We stayed with Les Brown and we did some stuff with Les Brown. It was awesome. In Jamaica. And Les will say, I've got a plan and I'm sticking to it. And you've kind of got to stay to the plan.
Right.
If you don't stay to the plan, there's like, you might as well not bother. But what's the alternative? Go and spend a big bunch of money on ads and try and keep trying and then go broke in the process? Or you can set this free challenge. We're going to teach you over five days, starting from scratch with a group with a simple tech stack. You don't need to bolt all of these things together. And it was ages before we, like, started building crazy funnels and, you know, testing too much stuff. It was like, hey, this is dead simple. And so it's dead simple. Law tech, you know, anybody can do it. You're going to engage with your audience. You can find out what they're doing. Hey, they want T shirts. Well, would you believe it? You know, so, and we're going, we're.
Gonna give you the, we're gonna give you the 178opt in rate funnel so you can just change, put your own stuff on it.
Yeah, that, that kind of helps. Right. So if we can give you a funnel that got 178opt in rate which is like people don't believe, but it's true. And we can do that over five days and by the end of it you've literally like, if you take the vip, like Madison, like you said, you know, we're probably going to jump on and like show you in context for your own business. You're going to have a future proof plan the way forward insight into this crazy stuff that your competitors never heard of. Now if you leave this and you don't do it and your competitor does it, then you're doomed. Oh, because you, you're going to be paying all the costs and the competitor is going to be grabbing all the customers. And that was a big thing for us. It's like, how does this guy just appeared in the fishing market and, and like we've been doing this for 20 years. There was a shop who literally made seven, literally seven pounds on a black Friday sale. And he opened up his store and stood there from like 6:00am in the morning to like 9:00 clock at night and like a tumbleweeds blown past and literally made seven, seven pounds. So he's made his seven pounds. And one of the, the fishing reps was telling us because he closed his account with his company, he didn't want to buy stuff anymore. And they just came to us and, and gave us the account. Right. It was, it was kind of crazy. I feel sorry for the guy because as he's stood there with his seven pounds taking like the, the guy who cleans the windows has come in and taken £15 off him for the window bill power company.
Yeah.
Yeah. So he, he wasn't best pleased. The same Black Friday we did about 35 grand. Right. And that was like how, why, how did that even happen? And it happened because we stuck to the plan. So we're going to give you the support, the guidance, the results, real results that are based on selling real stuff. And we'll give you the option to get the vip. If you want to get the VIP with the zoom and the, the extra stuff, you can Do. We're going to give you all of that support call and more. But the, the crux of this is Madison, right? People have got a choice. They can do nothing and they can go back to what they were doing, or they can, like, just give us a little bit of time. And, you know, if they put up with us now for nearly an hour and we're talking passionate about this stuff. Right. You'd be crazy not to.
Yeah, you can go and you can spend, you know, an hour a day on YouTube trying to figure out how to run Facebook ads or how to grow a group or how to build a funnel or different things like that. Or you can come to this and we will walk you through, step by step, how to implement this, how to actually do this. We're not going to leave you with, like an open loop at the end of, you know, oh, just you gotta pay us, blah, blah, to get, you know, the actual what to do, not just how to do. We're gonna get. We're probably gonna give away the farm on this, so you better take it, take advantage of it while it's still free, while we're still crazy enough to give all this value and, and probably, like I said, we'll probably give away the farm.
Yeah. 100. So just a recap, because I know we said we'd be on for half an hour and then we was going to record some stuff and now I'm running into another live. I've got two more lives. It's Sunday night. It's like nine o' clock in the evening in the uk. It's going dark. I've got other. Other stuff that we want to be doing and I know you are super busy as well, but we are literally giving away the farm and we're doing this in a cool monster theme. We've got so much goodness and, you know, ghoulish extras that we're going to lash onto this thing. We'll look at how we did the Black Friday. We'll look at how we did the Halloween. I'm actually going to. Oh, man. I'm not even going to tell you. I'm just going to do something crazy. As part of this, we're giving away a prize and we've got some guest speakers and it's probably going to be the coolest challenge that you've seen in a long time. And we will be open to questions and, you know.
If you, if you're on the fence, like, I'm. I'm probably. I'm probably a little too proud of this, but you should just opt in just for the email sequence. I mean, it. It is fire. And we will actually show you how we created it with AI And I mean, it was still a pun, but it is.
It's pretty cool. Right? So we. Look, we don't. Nobody wants to wake up in the morning, oh, man, I've got to go and do like a boring job. I don't want to go and watch a boring challenge. Right. And some of this stuff's just dry. It's reacted. It's a long, drawn out webinar. They're going to pitch you on some crap that you don't need. This is simple. It's straight to the point. You could actually gonna.
We.
We reckon you could probably see results on the first day, right? Maybe probably the third day.
Legally, we should say the third day, but it just depends on how fast you implement. And I like to say this is for. I had a brand new group. I had never started. These people knew nothing of who I am. Like I said, I know my group's 800 people. I know three people in it.
Yeah.
In the day.
In a year's time, you're gonna let all these people, you know them by name. Are they going to be making you crazy softball dolls and sending it? I don't know how this is going to work. Right. But you've not just done one group and I've not just done one group. I've done this in other niches to kind of get a feel for it and it works across.
Your group was on life support. It was the flatlining. But. And imagine if you already have a group that's engaged. Imagine what this is going to do for that group.
Yeah. Do you know, you like, you're running a group and you get this like, hey, I'm just going to share a photo that I took. And there's this thing that Facebook does when people sign up to your group and it gives them like three choices of the first ever post to make. And people come in there and go, hey, I'm new to the group and this is the photo that I took. And we actually thought this was like spam. It's like, why are people doing that? That doesn't happen in. In my group. Right. It happened in a group that I'm working on. Not anymore. It doesn't happen in the. In the fishing group or the. The metal detecting group or the guitar group or any of the other weird groups that I'm doing. Because. Because we've got this plan in place and People actually have something to post of value. Yeah, the level of engagement is insane. The cost of, it's still a cost of advertising whichever way you cut it. Right? But we're not paying, we're not paying Zuckerberg, we're not paying Google. We're coming on in there and we are promoting our products to an audience that actually wants this offer.
Yeah, exactly. Like it's, it's your like ideal customer, your true fans, people that, that, you know, you think about Facebook ads, how many of those people would never be interested in your product and you still have to pay for them to see it?
This is the thing. And look, you, you kind of like, man, it's like a shot in the dark, right? You're gonna sit there and be like, hey, we're gonna put some ads on. And then you see all these lists of interest. Oh, there's 6 million people who like this thing. And then, ah, we need to narrow the audience. And then I wonder what the gurus are going to say. And then I want to go and spend some money on a course because I still can't figure it out. And then I'll come back and then they've updated the ads manager and, and you're like, ah, crap, this was different two days ago. And now I've got to set the budget at the campaign level or no, is it, is it the ad set level? And I don't even know all of that time spent is just you and your computer.
Well, even, even a good, even a good ad that's well targeted to people has a unique ctr, which means the people who see it versus the people who actually take an action on it at 20% mean you're paying for those 80% of people that, that are not interested at all. And that's a good ad. That's a winning ad. That's an ad you would take to conversion on like a print on demand product or a physical product. Why not have a group of people that are going to be 100 interested in what you sell?
It is a crazy old game. And imagine, see there's, man, there's a little bit of stuff that I didn't quite tell everybody. And we, we didn't just do, we didn't like never do ads. Right? We just never did ads in the beginning. Now some of the ads that we did, oh man, I can't, I don't know if I could show some of this stuff. I don't, I don't think I should, I should say this for the challenge, right? Yeah.
Yeah, we. We probably already. I don't think we bored them, but we have. We've probably taken up enough of their time that if you're on this long, just come to the challenge. We're gonna do all this.
Yeah. And we're gonna go like crazy on this, and we're gonna show folks, like, every single thing that we can. And we're gonna give you the plan in the program and the. The funnel and the ads and the no ads and the, like, how do you get people to make your dolls and send you gifts and, like, I don't know, bottles of brandy come into this. The place. Right. People love this stuff. And even if you go on holiday or if you can't do it anymore or you change your mind and then you want to come back to it, it's still there for you. You don't get any of that stuff with ads, right?
No, no, no, no.
None of that stuff, man. Well, just.
Just.
Man, some of these results I can't even write. So you need to come to the challenge. Come to the challenge. It's on the screen. Monstergroupchallenge.com we're not going to say any more about it, because I'm looking at this now thinking, man, we need to charge for this. Right.
While it's still free.
Yeah. I'm just going to close the ads page down that I've just opened up there, because some of the stuff on there is insane. And we're going to lift the lid on all of this in the challenge. It starts July 31st. We've made a page. We've done another video. We've run through this presentation again. It didn't take an hour, but it's pretty cool. And it's free. And the only thing we're asking for is a little bit of time. You have to sign up so we can email you. But the email sequence alone is worth it.
It's worth it for the sheer entertainment value that it has.
Yeah. But imagine if you could ditch the ads, kiss goodbye to the stress of trying to figure all that stuff out and, you know, throw the dart in the dark and is it going to hit? Is it not going to hit? Do you need to hire somebody? Have you got it right? Is your funnel not right? Is it not converting? You will know in, like, 10 hours that this thing is working.
Yep.
Why are we not charging for this stuff? I don't know. Right. Monster group challenge.com before we take it down and we realize and somebody rings you up and goes, danny, you need to stop giving this stuff away.
Yes. Yeah, probably. Yeah.
Yeah. Any. Any closing remarks from your good self? Because I know.
No, we will. We will run into you probably the next hour. If we have closing remarks. Just sign up for the challenge. Just come hang out with us.
Yeah. It's gonna be fun, right? And look, I think we'll end. We'll just end with the. With the little video teaser thing. It's monster groupchallenge.com. we'll end on this. Madison, it's been a pleasure as always. I can't wait to get started. 31st July. It's free. Everything is on the walls. It's on in the. It's all over the place. Right? You can't miss it. Just don't miss it. You're crazy if you miss it. Where are they?
All right, we will see you guys at the challenge. You better be there, or our monsters will hunt you down.
Yeah, the monsters are going to hunt you down. Right? That's it. We're doing it. I'll see you on the next video. Bye. Bye.
