Welcome to Monster Q A Sunday.
Whoa. We're here.
We are here.
They're in the class.
This is our first one inside the Monster group challenge group.
And.
We got some questions to. To answer, so some questions to answer.
We're being held to account. People who may have done challenges in the past might be thinking, well, is this the challenge? And like, what are you guys doing? Why are you live like two weeks before the challenge? The promotion for this thing starts tomorrow on the 17th, right? So if you've managed to find your way in, that's probably through very, very low level promotion. We're not really put on any ads or anything like that. And we did the Geek out interview the other day. Few people have already signed up and that's great, but we want you guys to kind of get used to us and also know that we're here to help. Right, that's, that's kind of like where we're going with this. And we have this wacky idea of trying to ask you guys some questions and get your feel for what we're doing, but also see if we can get some quick wins sooner. So that's what this is all about. And I know, Madison, you've already got some questions, right?
Yes, I do. We have a few things. Housekeeping things. Let me share my screen to take care of first. If you were in the Geek out live, live, then you saw we were going to give away a winner of a T shirt and we did do that. And so we did have a new T shirt that has popped up and is available. And the winner of that is Sebastian. He won for joining us through Geek Out. So we will reach out to you, figure out which one you want. You can have either of them and we will get it sent to you. So congratulations, Sebastian. I know that you weren't. You were on the Geek out workshop, so you probably did not see that when we went live with it. So we do have, we do have a question that has popped up in the group in the comments. Facebook user says, quick question, how do I make a giveaway group if I can't really afford to pay for prizes to give away?
Oh, man. Well, this is something definitely we're going to go into detail about in the challenge and it's definitely a question that we will revisit because there's quite a few strategies that we can do around this. The main thing I think to know right now is that this is not only possible, but it is the way that I started with my fishing company. And, you know, I'm going live with these guys after this. And we have got all sorts of crazy stuff going on six years in. And this is Christopher.
Christopher wrote that comment down. So.
Yeah, so Christopher, it's very possible and there are countless ways that you can do this. And since then, Madison, we've also put a little twist on this right, where we can actually figure out a way to earn affiliate commission from the prizes that you don't actually have.
Yeah. And, and I think the other thing is because I, I know where Christopher's at and kind of what he's doing. Don't be afraid to make your, your big thing, your course. His thing is called Docu Journey. It's all about helping you document your journey as an entrepreneur, as a parent, whatever. Don't be afraid to make that your, your giveaway. And it could be something really small that you add with it. That's a physical product, but the big value comes from you being talking with them or helping them with their photos or, you know, you can do other things like that than just have it be something that you're paying, you know, 500 for on Amazon.
Yeah. And like we said, there's a lot of strategies. Obviously we can't go into them. We've done four minutes, 15 seconds already and we're like, oh, we need a 20 minute shop. But we will go into a lot. But like Madison said, one of the, the straight up easy things to do is if you've got a course or you've got something digital, you can use that straight away as the prize without having to spend money. And I've seen folks doing this with, with music books like PLR Music books that they've already had or they've wrote themselves and they've packaged this stuff up together, made a nice graphic and they've used that win, you know, $3,000 worth of music books and added their own personal tuition. And that, almost like a stack offer has been really appealing to folks out there. Now the more value, the more goodies that you can add to that, the, the better the response. But certainly it can be done. And on the challenge, I want to show you at least five cool ways that you can go out there and create your giveaways and get people into your community without spending any money up front. And we didn't do that. We didn't, we didn't spend any money at all. And we had a big bunch of people signing up real quick, which was, was crazy. But what I would suggest is have a think about what you could do for a Prize, think about what you've got already. Think about how you could bundle your time in and then, you know, two weeks from now you can be hitting the ground running with your homework. Let us show you the rest of the those ideas and probably more as well, and you can kind of figure out the one that's right for you.
And he says he loves that idea. So.
Yeah. So the power is in the value that you're giving away. And, and like everybody kind of loves winning some stuff the way.
Yeah. They don't know that you have like zero cash value in it.
Yes.
For them to get that they have to pay for it.
Yep. And, and look, some people have never won anything at all in their lives ever. And the, the very fact that they're in with a chance is enough for some folks. But like I said, there are different ways. Whether you want to do physical products or you're in a weird niche or, you know, it's an info product and we kind of want to show you how to dress this up. So when, when you present it, it's, it's got immense value. That sort of makes sense. Right. So I'm glad, glad he's liking the idea. Loves the idea. What else have we got? Madison.
Alrighty. So AG said how to warm up an 11 year old email list of 10,000 people.
Whoa. That's, that's, that's a challenge in itself. Right. And it'd be cool if there's people on and Madison's got control tonight. So I can't see all the, all the stats and stuff, but there is people on the live kind of let us know in the chat a little bit about what do you think is actually stopping you from know, is it money? Is it the fear? Is it, you know, the fact that your email list is old? What is the thing that's stopping you right now? What are the barriers? And let us know and see if we can pick sort of pick anything up from the, from the comments as well. But for me, when it comes to email lists, why has it gone on so long? Is would be the first question. And if we do revive it, are you going to leave it for another 11 years? Because these things, you've kind of got to keep your foot on the gas. Right. And before we start going into detail around, because email is important. It's an important part of this whole strategy that we're going to teach you on the challenge before we start getting into that stuff. Sometimes it's as easy as sending out an email saying hi, do you remember Me?
Yeah. I mean, I would take it a different way. I would take all those emails, put them in a custom audience, run a reach campaign with Facebook ads as a video and say, hey, I'm back. Because I know AG's personality and that's totally like the move he would make. And when you pair this with a giveaway now, you're not asking them for money, you're like, I want to revive this community. And obviously his people are kind of like yogis and they're into that kind of stuff. And you could make a really cool giveaway, really kind of like focusing in on their interests and then use that as a catalyst to get them back into your world.
I think provoking curiosity is the big thing here, right? Because the email subject line is designed to get people to open the email. The email itself is designed to get people to click the link. The link itself is the, the giveaway or the sales page or the webinar or whatever you're doing at the time. And that's designed to get people to enter details and move through, I. E. Credit card details or provide fresh details. So there's nothing wrong in emailing an old list with a fresh opt in page. Hey, win this stuff. Hey, download this thing, whatever it is. In our case we're going to focus on the fishbowl and giving things away. But what you're actually doing there is segments in your list and if you mail that old 11 year old list 10 times over a period of time and you get I don't know how many, it could be a thousand on the list, there could be 100,000. But if you get a percentage going into that new system, at some point I would draw the line and maybe put it on as a, as a retargeting audience and just catch the, the, the odd one that hasn't come through. But I would be focusing on that new opt in. You know, the people who've actually taken the time, they've read the stuff, they've gone through, they've entered the details again and then you're kind of in there and you're like, whoa, these guys have taken the trouble to come through. I'm talking to them and they are responding again. Well, there's a lot of ways that we could probably approach that and it's important, I think, to build into the challenge certain things around email because there are some ways you can get it dreadfully wrong and we don't want to do that well.
And I think the beauty of what we're going to teach is that it is simply nothing that people have seen before. Right. It's a whole different approach to even trying to get their attention. And I mean, I mean, our email boxes are mostly full with Russell trying to sell us stuff, right? Every day he's selling us something. Every day there's somebody else coming in, they're trying to sell you something and just. It's like that pattern interrupt.
Yeah, definitely a pattern pattern interrupt of the, of the unusual variety because people are like, what is this thing that's going on here? And they're not used to it. So reviving the email list just to see if you can get a response, hey, do you remember me? Might be one of the first things you do. Running some little ads might be one of the first things you do. But those people who start to reply or show a signal that there's a sign of life, there would be the ones I would be focusing on. And again, we do have ways of making people not just show interest and send a signal, but literally dive out of the machine and, and just like want, you know, want to give you money. They want to get involved because it is something new. And you're often over shrouded by other people trying to sell stuff. And you don't even check your email sometimes. A lot of it goes to promotion. This stuff will, will shine through.
I actually like to run a test every Black Friday. I don't clear out my emails till like 9 o' clock in the morning and then I try to see how many I'm going to get overnight. And I get like upwards of 180 to 250 emails from, you know, like at 9pm Pacific time to 9am Pacific time the next day, 12 hours. And that just shows you. And on an average day I get probably almost 80, 90 emails in the morning.
Yeah. Yep. You will get bombed with emails. It's like, hey, you know, Grant Cardone's emailed you 10 times and Russell's emailed you five times. Well, I think, you know, just on, on the thing of Russell and clickfunnels, it's like, buy some of that stuff. Because every time I give Russell Brunson money, I get a lot back in return. And click funnels is certainly something that is so beneficial in doing the fishbowl approach and doing this sort of stuff. We're going to teach you on the challenge because you can build things real quick. So for my cart fishing group now, I've just cloned an offer and I've deleted a couple of the bits out of it. Changed a few words and I've got exactly the same thing but that I can offer on. On a live video when I'm going live in my group rather than opt in and all the rest that we don't need that stuff because the, the live video is the opt in there's. Without giving away the farm. There are quite a few ways that we can revive the list that is included in the challenge. And I kind of recommend that you. You take that extra time as well. If you've not done it already is like get the VIP and then you can get on the Zoom with us and we can really unpick it for your business because every business is different but for sort of bring this to a conclusion. Madison, unless you want to add anything else once you've made that determination. Hey, you know, we've run ads, we've. We've flogged this thing to death. We've offered them the, the prize, we've offered them, you know, everything. And these many people have come through. I would just focus on the ones that have come through and kind of say, right, it's time to move on from this old list. It's a long time. It's a long time.
I totally agree. So AG also had another question about how to set up and optimize Facebook pages and YouTube channels.
I think what's your views of this? Because it's a big old can of worms, right? And what does optimize even mean?
I think, I think that as much as I have tried to SEO and you know, the things with Facebook Pages are just like Facebook ads, right? People might engage with them, but there's so many notifications and the way the algorithm works, and if they don't continue and engage with you, they're not going to see your stuff. And it's. I used to think that, you know, I really needed to get that social proof on a page, you know, pay for Facebook to get, you know, 500 likes on it. Mostly, you know, trying to do it the cheap way. Those likes are in India. So they come across, they look, they look fake. I mean, I might as well should have just bought them, you know, on those, those sites and then, you know, paid for them to be there. But the beauty of what, what we've seen with pushing these people towards a group is that they continue to show up and they get those notifications and it's a little different. And I almost, as much as I love Facebook pages, it's, it's not an. It's not something I really focus on anymore.
Well, here's the thing for you. We at one point we wanted to liquidate some stock and turn it into money real quick. And I didn't want to do that in the usual channels, but I also wanted to see if we could do something a little bit different. And we created a brand new face Facebook page from zero. And I think even now we've only got like 350 likes on there. That page with 350 likes, we utilize that page every Thursday and did these monster lives right now. Not everybody can go on there and go live, but I figured out a way that you can do it without even being on the camera. Right. I was going to build this into the challenge anyway. So if you could go live without going on camera once a week on a page with only 350 likes and we made 40, 000 pounds sterling in like a short period of time, which is about 50 grand US if we could show you even like a little tiny bit of that, that's, that's worth just coming on the, on the journey with us. Because that was living proof that you can start with a page that nobody has heard of. You can make a logo on Canva or Photoshop or with AI and slap that on there and a header picture that's relevant and you can use the power of your community to get enough people on there to sustain the sales. And what's real important to know is we've got a group, say we have 20,000 people in a fishing group, right. There's 150, 200 people that are the recurring buyers that made the bulk of the revenue, maybe a few more. Right. So you're going to have a lot of people potentially interested, but it's always that sort of like tip of the triangle, the tip of the, of the pyramid that actually is hot and wants to buy and wants to keep coming back. They're the guys you want to kind of be funneling out. And again, the strategy sort of covers that. So reviving the lists, making use of pages, in my mind they're only platforms. It's the way that you operate these platforms that's important. And sometimes you could waste an eternity trying to make it right. But like I said, what exactly does that mean? It's like the, the conversion value I like is money and stripe.
Yeah. And that's the same thing with YouTube, right. I mean they are all platforms, they are all vehicles for you to try to get these people further into your world. And at the end of the day there's a Lot of information out there about optimizing your YouTube, but this AI is getting to this point. You know, people like Vidiq and Tune Buddy have these AI features already in there that, you know, don't waste your time trying to get YouTube perfect because at the end of the day, it's, it's just a vehicle.
Yeah. Yep, yep, yep, yep. And I think people worry so much about what the vehicle looks like rather than jumping in and driving. And I like to kind of jump in and drive because sometimes you might just be like, oh man, this, this didn't work very well. But you've not spent any money, you've not damaged his brand, you've not done anything like crazy and spent ages of time and effort. You've just literally jumped in, turn this thing on, drove it for a little while and seen what's happened. And then, oh man, no, look, we've made five grand on the first attempt. That's big, right? So you're like, hey, you're gonna make a million on the first attempt. Well, good luck with that. If you can make five grand on your first attempt, that's, you're gonna be pumped. You're going to be super excited. And I know just from listening to Madison and listening to countless others like you that, you know, people are spending that amount of money on ads and doing nothing. Yeah, yeah, let's, let's, let's get in the car and let's get this, this sucker moving before we think about, you know, optimizing and things like that. But I think you're optimized from the get go these days because people follow people.
Yep.
Does that make sense?
Yeah, no, it totally does. And I think if we focus more on what's that hook gonna be, we can get the people and not worry about trying to get everybody. We want to get the right people into the group. And that's, that's the big focus is, you know, getting these people in a group that you can nurture them and not have to go through and continue to chase people around the Internet. Like I've heard, you know, Facebook ads, people say you can chase them around the Internet. Who wants to pay to chase somebody around the Internet? Like I used to think that's how we had to do it, retargeting ads. Let's, let's link through our, our TikTok pixel so that we show them on face pixel TikTok and that we got the Google Pixel and then they see it on YouTube. Why, why spend the money to chase them around when we can do something unique and different and get them into a community and start to nurture that. And I think Andrea said that so well on, on Friday that there really is that gap between that nurture group and, and you know, really getting that customer. And that's, that's really where the fishbowl. And I probably completely butchered that because as I started to think about it, I couldn't, couldn't quite exactly remember how eloquently she said that. But that's, that's the, you know, how do you get people into that group and, and the separation between, you know, not having them and having them.
It's kind of like said basically that we did it so well when other people don't give it a second thought. And I know just looking at stats now, I'm still at 104 opt in rate which is off the charts. This thing's been running for like so six days now, but 631 people on the list. And tonight we have a crazy live and we've got a big giveaway and we've got a bunch of awesome stuff. And this has been selling straight out the gate and now we've got recurring revenue and special deals. And this is like day six of pretty much reviving a dead group and a dead list. And this is got, you know, the promise of how we're going to do this all over again and do another big bunch of, of millions. But this time I've got to do this in a way where I'm harnessing more digital than physical products which is a little bit more tricky. But already we're seeing some, yep, seeing some results and we're moving.
So this is, this is your trick. And I will 100 say I was not for this. And I did not do this in my first giveaway. And we look at this post now, there are some people that didn't follow the rules. But I said this ugly ass photo, make it your profile photo. And I thought I made even like canva frames so that people didn't have to do this. And we come through. It's 17 comments. I said some people didn't follow the rules. So we got three people here that didn't follow the rules. There's four. Okay, so we got 13 people who did. And you can see their photos are all this. And now this person here, she, she used the frame. This person here used the frame and that is 13 people who are out on the Internet, you know, with that ugly photo as their profile photo.
But if, you know, if I came up to you in the street and was like, hey, just change your profile picture to my brand. You'd be like, die. You know, you don't. Who the hell does that? That's like, go away, man. You're just like some weird guy. So there's got to be. You don't just go out there and say, hey, please change up your profile picture. But if you can work this into this floor and do what we did, then you literally. You can get people in very small groups to do very big things on your behalf. And there's always a thing about how social is your media. They call it social media for a reason. And some people just don't have social media. Social media people want to share this stuff. They want to interact with it, they want to tell the. The mom about it, they want to tell the brother about it. They want to go and, like, post it in places. If you've got social media, then you're winning. If you've got boring media, like an ad, people write on your ads, and they're like, get off my news feed.
But, you know, we talk about curiosity, right? Curiosity in the hook. We go back to Christopher and imagine if he gets these entrepreneurs. He only has five of them, and five of them change their photo to dock your journey. Entrepreneurs have other entrepreneur friends on their social media lists. They're gonna see that and be like, what, What? Why? What? What is that? And that's could be enough interest peaked to, you know, it could be like, I'm gonna dock you my journey for free, or I'm gonna get, you know, a thousand dollars to dock my journey or whatever it is. And that's going to peak enough interest to then get that organic ball rolling with that.
So I think in 20, 23 minutes, you know, people can interpret this in different ways. In five days, we're literally going to let all this stuff out. And if you grab the VIP offer and I don't know if we've got a link for that, Madison, you can stick that up on the. On the screen.
If you've not signed up for hard questions, that wasn't.
You could jump on. On zoom with us, though, and you could be like, right, so I've got this thing and I'm going to do this idea, and how do I make this picture? We show you how to make the picture. It's like, how do I get people to do that? I'll show you how to do it. And we want to give people, by the end of this week, they come out of this with a rounded strategy and they're able to go and deploy this themselves. And if you deploy this properly, following the steps that I know work, Madison knows work and a lot of other people are seeing success with, there's no reason why it won't be successful. You've got to look at that as like, well, we've done all of this stuff for the last X amount of time and this happened and now we're going to do this stuff in a short period of time and this potentially could happen. That's going to be worth the, you know, taking that time out to study it often. I've seen it where, you know, because I've taught this stuff in, in groups and I've talked to other people about it and they try and skip the steps and they try and run with it and they don't get it and they've missed a bit or they try and rush it or they try and fudge it. Have some thoughts around what your audience is, what your product is, what you could potentially give away. You know, talk, think about the things that you've already done, whether it's an email list or it's Facebook ads or whatever. And when you come to the challenge, we're really going to start to unpick this and give you homework and then the Q and A sessions and all the rest of it so we can kind of work through these things and get rid of any objections in your mind and the customer's mind. You should be there four or five, you should be playing sailing. And there's a link somewhere if you.
Want to grab the VIP Monster groupchallenge.com backslash monster upgrade. It allows you to go straight to the upgrade page and don't have to skew our opt in rates because we're awfully proud that our opt in rates are over a hundred percent and we definitely don't want any misconceptions about that. We are manipulating that. So that link takes you straight to the vip. And then I think Scott asked a question that I think is probably going to be something we're going to have to unpack later in the week because we could go into 30 minutes of detail just on traffic building, people's eyes on it, hard getting past, getting in front of people and keeping them interested enough to participate. And I think that's probably something we should tackle next week because we can't do it justice in 30 minutes. In three minutes. I don't know. We can do it justice in 30 minutes.
Yeah. All about a doubt, but I think the Main thing is we could do this justice in two hours on a VIP session or indeed throughout the course of the week. Where we really get into. It's kind of got a floor. So you've got to see that. You've got to see the silly drawings at the beginning that I'm gonna put my amazing drawings that kind of make the penny drop and then the strategy that underpins it with real examples, not just from fishing and softball and other things that it's got like all different kind of niches. And then we're like, right now there's some homework so you can consolidate and frame this in your mind. And when you come again tomorrow, you're going to kind of work through this for yourself in your own business. And, and hopefully that that light comes on. You have that a. That epiphany. Haha. You've kind of figured it out. That's why we're doing it over five days and not five minutes. So it's all kind of tied together. But the questions are important and they are valid. But I know that, you know, imagine if, if we could revive your email list, optimize your Facebook, get people sharing this and going crazy and take over prime real estate on people's Facebook pages in the process and get them sharing it and, and like all these things that you never had. Even if you just had one of those things, it's going to make a difference and you're going to have like 10, 12 things all moving and you don't have to spend any money on prizes or even put any money down on ads. That's night and day total different from what other people are teaching. And it would be unfair, I think, to just try and say, hey, do this little thing. And then it's going to work because you need to see the whole picture, right? And then once you see that, you do what Madison did and you stay up all night and you crunch this stuff and you build your funnel and all the rest of it. Well, look, we're even going to give you the funnels. So like, you're excited for the challenge. It's like, I'm excited for the challenge of talking about stuff. I'm excited for the challenge. The VIP is, is an optional extra. And you know, it's, it's 97. Right. But you 97, that's gonna give you the option to talk to us on that zoom meeting. It's worth its weight in gold. But there are other perks as well. And there's a workbook and different things so you can Kind of keep up to date with the. With the homework, whichever way you go.
Access to the recording so you can come back to this stuff. And because Danny did all these videos and. And when he was in Geek Out Live the first time, those videos were on YouTube. They're not there anymore. They're not accessible anymore.
And it's like, what are you doing, stupid? Set these things down. And like, how, man, do I have to. I'm trying to help people. And it's like, y' all just take these things down and we'll talk about it. But I think the. The videos that we've got, we've kind of learned a lot since then as well, and we're polishing these things up and, you know, you get the replay of this. Maybe we could give the VIPs access to those. It's like, ah, man, you've got. You've got. You've got a method that nobody else has got. And if there's, you know, if there's five people, I think we've got over 100 people who've opted in. I'm not sure they're all in the group yet because some people don't check their emails. But by the time we get there, this group should be rocking and we should have some real good engagement. And I'm excited to see where it goes. And the, you know, the whole sort of thing behind this is helping you to do things that have never been done before in your business. And that might be a little bit scary. You've kind of got to see the whole. The whole shebang, the whole picture. Right?
Yeah, exactly. And, you know, obviously we come from, you know, people look at us and probably say, well, they have a strong ecom background. And that is true. But the roots of this is getting leads. Are getting leads. And it is just going to take a few tweaks for it to be an info product, an affiliate product, a PLR product. You can build the people and you can build the community. You can sell them absolutely anything.
I think the thing to note before we go off and I've got to go to another group, but the. The thing to note is that the E comm niches are some of the hardest niches because you can buy the same stuff on Amazon. And we've consistently gone out there, engaged people, redirected folks, customers, which is a little golden nugget in all of this. And we. I've actually sold. I know myself and I know Madison. You're not cheap. Right? We've sold above the. What would Be known as the retail price.
Yeah.
So if you could get free customers from other brands and bring them into your community and keep them there forever and sell above the retail price, you could do that in, in, you know, whether it's fishing, softball, music, or whatever, you could do this in digital products, info products, affiliate products, and more. So it's, it's exciting times. And like I said, if you're watching live, you're watching the replay. Put in the comments, what your business is, what you're working on, what you've tried before. And by the time we get to the challenge, we could have some examples that are kind of tailored to you.
Yep. And we're obviously gonna, we're gonna, you know, practice what we preach. We will nurture this group. We will be live. We might do some little giveaways from time to time. Maybe we'll give away a VIP or something. We'll see. But definitely ask your questions, let us know. Otherwise, we're just gonna sit here and talk to each other and, and we could either choose to help. We could help you by knowing your. What you need help with, or we can just babble to ourselves. So we're gonna be here, we're gonna be live, we're gonna be in the group. You're gonna see us, you're gonna get annoyed by us. But it is just to set everybody up for success.
