42 Minutes Of The Best Sales Training You'll Ever Find

Matthew (Matt) Larson walks through how to build an effective 7–10 minute sales presentation to use during screen-shared sales calls. He demonstrates live: a 60-second highlight reel (hook with client-result headlines and images), a four-problem framing for businesses that informs the pitch, and an 8-question framework (from a former DARPA director) to structure the remainder (what youre trying to do, current limits, whats new, who cares, risks, cost, timeline, success checks). Matthew then builds example slides covering problems, solutions (a complete lead-generation funnel), timeline (120 days), pricing (one-time US$4,000 for one year access), expected outcomes, risks, and a transition to objections/close (ask prospect to rate 1–10). The video emphasizes practice (timing, tone), concise hooks, naming risks, and leading into a collaborative close.

Hey there everybody. My name is Matt here and in this video I'm going to show you how to create a sales presentation. The kind that you would be screen sharing on a call with a prospect or a lead that is going to explain what you do, why you do it, how you do it and hopefully convince them to buy. So let's get started. Hello. So I'm going to go through this video in five different parts and that's going to be it. I'm going to do these five different parts and I'm also going to build the sales presentation in real time, like using, you know, I guess the advice or the like what I'm recommending for each part because you know, that's why I'm recommending it or you know, wouldn't really make sense, would it? So let's get right into the each part. The first part that I want to talk about is on a 30 minute call, which a lot of these will be. I'd recommend you make this presentation seven to 10 minutes long. So this will leave a lot of time for like the introductions and you know, gathering information at the start of the call might take about five minutes and then it will also leave a lot of time for like actual specifics, for next steps, for objections, for questions, all that kind of stuff after. If you made this less than seven minutes, I think you lose a lot of the value and a lot of things that you can include to make it effective. But if you make it more than 10 minutes, it's kind of unnecessarily dragging on and on. Any sales call you want the prospect to do the majority of the talking. And if you're doing like 15 minutes worth of screen share presentation where they're just listening to you, one, you're not getting enough information from them because they're not talking. Two, they're probably going to check out after a while and three, it's, you know, we need time for the rest of this stuff. So 7 to 10 minutes is what I'd recommend. It's going to give you a good range, the best of both worlds between actually getting the information that you need and you know, not making it too crazy. So this is what I would kind of consider, you know, the overall structure. So what you'd want to do here is, you know, quite literally go and you know, set a timer and do your presentation out loud. You can do this like maybe three times and take the average of all three times. I'm going to drag this down here because that's for a different Part. But the overall structure needs to be 7 to 10 minutes very consistently at a, you know, decent pace, not too fast, not too low. Kind of just how you would tell a friend about your product, your service, whatever you're selling. Like that is really what we're going for, the 7 to 10 minute range and kind of dragging on myself here. So the next part is the 60 second highlight reel. This is the, this should be the first part of the sales presentation. Presentation right after you screen share. So like, okay, we got my introductions, you know, you've asked them some questions, that kind of stuff. Now you say, okay, well I'm gonna share my screen. And this is the first part after you would do that. So you can think of this, you can think of this as kind of an intro or a hook for your whole like sales presentation or for yourself. The idea here is like you kind of want to, you know, get some examples, get some results, you know, client case studies, client results. I'll put both of them there and you know, case studies, but like not obviously going into the crazy amount of depth into these. It's just in the first 60 seconds, like kind of making a first impression. In real life, you want to make a good first impression with your sales presentation. No different than you'd want to make a good hook on your YouTube video or anything of that nature. It's just one of those things that's going to get you a better result. So in your highlight reel, like your examples, this is what we did for, you know, X, Y and Z brand. So I'm going to show you how to format this properly or how I would highly recommend you do it. So a lot of people, like there's two main ways of making presentations, right? There's the, you know, big bullet point way where you have all of this information kind of like, kind of like this one I'll show you here where you have, you know, all of this kind of stuff. But a lot of people won't even put the pictures in it like this. And the pictures are what's very important, but in the first 60 seconds. And we'll get a timer up here and we'll actually test this after, oops, 60 seconds. Like in my view we want to really get it. So it's like just the headline and just the picture, if that makes sense. So like if you go here and say 1000x leads is a lead generation program and let's try to get this a little bit smaller and a little bit less thick. So in this one you kind of do it like this. 1000X Leads is a lead generation program with over 215 clients. In over 35 countries. And 120 different niches and industries. These clients do a combined 345 million per year. And range from you know, people doing 10 to 20k per month all the way up to several clients doing multi eight figures. Then you'd sub out these pictures but something like this. So my name is Matthew Larson and along and I am the co founder of a thousand X leads alongside my partner Leo. I have sold three agencies since 2019 and all of these largely followed the same strategy and structure of the 1000x leads program. Strategy and systems. Let's go team strategy. So let's go back here. I want to since 2019 and I want to do something like and the previous one was sold in July 2023 just because I want it to be. I'm thinking of like doing this for myself right now because I'm giving you this example but my thoughts on this is sold three agencies since 2019. Okay, that's like five years ago at this point. Is that even relevant? So that's why I added this. All three of these agencies largely followed the same strategy and Systems of the 1000x leads program. And then always like the. Some of the most universal objections are will this work for me, my country, you know, my niche? Everything we do in a thousand x leads has been proven by us, our clients has been proven by us, has been proven to work by our clients in 35 plus countries and has been proven to work in over. What did I say before? It's 120. But did I say that before? Yeah, 120 different niches. As long as you are a business that deals with leads a thousand x leads will work and be applicable for you. There are literally zero exceptions. We have tried it out because you always want to reference in a sales presentation like fact with you know we've tried it out in all of the countries and niches and we haven't found one that doesn't work yet. Like that sounds a lot less trying us trying to convince them of it than you know, the other way around. And what you do is you'd go in Google or something like that and you would just basically get this like get images. So I'm just going to copy and paste some images from a different one here just to make sure it's just for the sake of time really. So for you know my name is Matt. Oops. That's a big picture. So five, we'll go five times three here. So my name is Matthew Larson, as you know, and I'm the co founder of A Thousand X Leads alongside my partner Leo. I get Leo's photo. If Leo's here, Leo's not here. But this is basically what you do. And I'm not going to do it for the sake of like this video just because we want to move it along. But, but you would have different pictures for each of these. Kind of like, kind of like this, right? So 35 countries keep the sizing consistent, of course, 120 different niches. And there we go, just like that. So I think like what you. I would do now and you know, like a lot of this stuff is going to depend in terms of client results. We helped, and we're going to go to our case studies here, just like one line case studies. We helped Angus in Australia go from 6k to 60k in just six months. We helped Brian in Singapore go from 0 to 30k per month. While in the military, We helped max from the USA double his business in 79 days. And this is like what I mean by the highlight reel type thing. We helped Abdul from the UK book 40 calls per month. So what I mean here is like this is a good highlight reel because it obviously shows the results, but it also, it's good to, you know, put them. Angus in Australia, Brian in Singapore. I think I spelled Brian wrong in this case. No, I spelled Brian wrong in this case because it's why Max in the USA and Abdul from the uk. Like this is a pretty good, what I would say, mix of countries, mix of names. Because, you know, Abdul and Angus, you know, Angus I would say generally is, you know, a white name. Abdul is going to be a brown name. So that gives a little bit of diversity, I guess you could say to like help, go on to the question, like, is this going to work for me? Type thing. And I think that is very helpful. So that is what I mean by the 60 second highlight reel. So let's try to actually. So I'm gonna put the timer on my other screen here. You won't be able to see it, but you can take my word for it. I'm going to present and go and just talk at a normal pace and see like what this would be like out loud. So I got the wrong one there. So remember the whole purpose of this is to make a good first impression. So I'm going to set the timer and starting now, I'm setting the timer in 3, 2, 1, 1, thousand X leads is a lead generation program with over 215 clients in over 35 countries and 120 different niches and industries. These clients do a combined $345 million per year and range from people doing 10 to 20k per month all the way up to several clients doing multi eight figures. My name is Matthew Larson and I'm the co founder of 1000X leads alongside my partner Leo. I've sold three agencies since 2019 and the previous one was sold in 2023. I don't really like how that's worded. All three of these agencies largely followed the same strategy and systems of our 1000x leads program. Everything we do in a thousandx leads has been proven by us, has been proven to work by our clients in 35 plus countries and has been proven to work in over 120 different niches. As long as you are a business that deals with leads, a Thousand x leads will work and be applicable for you. We've tried it out in all of the countries and niches and we haven't found one that doesn't work yet in terms of client results. And that was 60 seconds right there. So I think reading it out loud, for example, we could tighten that up a little bit. And where is that timer going off? Can you hear that? I don't know if you'll be able to hear that, but I think we can tighten that up a little bit because. Proven to work by our clients, Proven to work in all. Proven to work by our clients and it's been proven to work in all over the world. Has been proven to work on our clients. So there's going to be a couple things that I'm going to change which the previous one being sold, that sounds a lot better. I might take Leo out of here just because I'd be the one in the sales call and this is like the struggles or the actual stuff that you'd be going over when you make a sales presentation. So I'm trying to give you the most raw footage, you know, everywhere. We as improving by us. Has been proven to work. By us and. By us and our clients. We've tried it. So let's try this now. Going to set that timer again on my other screen. So let's restart it here. I'm going to restart it in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. 1000X leads is a lead generation program with over 215 clients in over 35 countries and 120 different niches and industries. These clients do a combined $345 million per year and range from the people doing 10 to 20k per month all the way up to clients doing multiple eight figures per year. My name is Matthew Larson and I am the co founder of 1000X leads alongside my partner Leo. I've sold three agencies since 2019 with the previous one being sold in July 2023. All three of these agencies largely follow the same strategy and Systems of the 1000x leads program. Everything we do in a thousandx leads has been proven to work by us and our clients. We've tried it out in all of the countries and niches. I don't really want to say like that. And we haven't found one work one that doesn't work yet. As long as you're a business that deals with leads, a thousand x leads will work and be applicable for you in terms of client results. We helped Angus in Australia go from 60k to 6 or 6k to 60k and that's 60 seconds right there. So let's tighten it up a little bit more. And it's not that it's a hard and fast 60 second rule. We have tried it out in 120 all across the world. That sounds better. All the way up to clients. All the way up to clients. I'm going to take up the word several there. This is just how it works when you're actually creating one of these things. And hopefully this is going to be a lot more helpful than people just saying, you know, make a sales presentation. I'm going to take out that. So let's go again. And remember this is the second step, the 60 second highlight reel and the other steps are going to take just as long. Classic I know, but it's just one of those things that we need to nail our sales presentation because it's pretty important. We need to get these sales. So let's get started. I'm going to start the timer in 5, 4, 3, 2 1. 1000X leads is a lead generation program with over 215 clients in over 35 countries and 120 different niches and industries. These clients do a combined $345 million per year in revenue and range from people doing 10 to 20k per month all the way up to clients doing multi 8 figures. My name is Matthew Larson and I'm the co founder of 1000X leads alongside my partner Leo. I've sold three agencies since 2019 with the previous one being sold in July 2023. All three of these agencies largely follow the same strategy and Systems of the 1000x leads program, everything we do in 1000x leads has been proven to work. We've tried it out in 120 niches all across the world and we haven't found one that doesn't work yet. As long as you're a business that deals with leads, 1000x leads will work and be applicable for you in terms of client results. We helped Angus in Australia go from 6k to 60k in just 6 months. We helped Brian in Singapore go from 0 to 30k while in the military. And that's, that's right there. So I'm just going to delete one more slide, maybe two more slides. I'm going to get rid of my partner Leo, just because I don't know. Doing 10k per month, we'll just. That will shorten it pretty good, I think. Doing 10k per month. So here, what I'm going to do is I'm going to make this kind of like a, Kind of like a, like a part or like a separator here. So what problems? You know, what are we trying to do here? So this is basically the 60 second highlight reel. And I think I did a good job of showing you what to do here. And you know, that didn't take that long. We're 20 minutes into the video here and it's just one of those things that needs to be dialed in and if it's not, then we're not going to have as. We're not going to be as effective as we could be type thing. So the next step is the list of questions. And I found this list of questions actually on Twitter and they're from a former darpa, DARPA director. And I think these are great if you need a framework to make a sales presentation. So the questions are what are you trying to do? No jargon, you know, how is this done today? Or what are the limits of the current practice? What is new in your approach and why do you think it will be successful? Who cares if you're successful, what difference will it make? What are the risks? How much will it cost, how long will it take? And what are the midterm and final exams to check for success? I think if you just answered those eight questions, you would have a top 5% sales presentation. Is there better ways to do this? I'm sure there are, but if you're watching this video, chances are you haven't really even got started yet. So I think this would be an excellent thing to use for you. So we're going to do that here. So what are we trying to do? How is this normally done? What are the limitations of this? So we don't need to make it like as verbatim as this, but in this I'm going to do that. What is new in our approach? Why will it be successful? Like, you probably wouldn't make it completely like this. What difference will it make? What are the risks? How much will it cost, How long will it take? And what are the midterm checks for success? What are the final checks for success? This is a, I would say a very good framework if you need something and you have no idea where to start. So let's do that. So this is the part where I said before, like in this presentation here in this 60 second highlight reel type thing, you basically only have the title, the headline and an image. This is the part where we're gonna put a lot more actual stuff in it. So let's get a text box here and I won't make it perfect in here, but I'll make it very close. So what we're trying to do here, we are, we are solving the four problems that 99% of businesses have. No, no one knows who they are. Not enough leads. All their clients come from referrals. They only offer their main service or they have nothing to offer. Have nothing to offer. Unqualified leads. This is what we are trying to do. We are building a full lead generation funnel that will solve the four problems that 99% of businesses have. So let's space it out a little better. There we go. And we would probably put some more effort into this if, like this was our live sales presentation. But I think this is a great start. How is this normally done? 99. Oops. 99% of businesses only grow. Let's go. 90% of businesses only grow through referrals and word of mouth. Of the 10% that remain, 9% of those only grow through a single channel, such as cold email, SEO, ads, content, etc. Like, this is the situation for most of it, referrals are great. And I'm going to put that on the next slide and we're just going to kind of get a draft of these. Referrals are great. They are an indication that you do a great job and provide a quality service. However, they are out of your control. You are essentially putting your fate in the hands of others. Instead of taking it, putting your fate in, instead of taking it into your own hands, in the hands of others. You're essentially relying on others to grow your business for you. Relying on one channel to grow is fine, but there are always algorithm changes, you know, marketplace sophistication and etc. And if you only have one way to acquire customers and that way stops working, you will quickly be at zero. Something like that. So what is going to be new in our approach? We our program focuses on building a complete lead generation funnel that is based on the fundamentals and will stand the test of time. We solve problem number one by building up paid ads, paid ad funnels, content marketing systems, outreach systems and partnership systems to ensure we are getting enough traffic and people know who we are. We solve problem number two by helping you build several different lead magnets to capture leads, email flows to nurture leads, conversion mechanisms to push the leads down funnel and qualify them. We hope if you solve problem number one and problem number two, people know who you are and you are capturing leads, you are kind of solving problem number three automatically. You would not be getting all of your clients from referrals anymore. So that's kind of solves problem number three. We solve problem number four by helping you create different offers that address different levels of the market. So you have something to offer everybody. You have your core services to offer. Those who are qualified, you can build, you can sell courses and programs to those who are not. And for those who are super unqualified, you can monetize them with affiliate revenue and digital products. That's what's new in our approach versus you know, just waiting for people to buy. Why will it be successful? What is new in our approach? Kind of why will it be successful? So if I was really going to do this, I would probably go like this more so, so why will it be successful? And I'm just take out this, this, this will succeed because it will completely solve the four main problems that prevent businesses from growing. Once these bottlenecks are removed, you will experience growth. What is new in our approach? There are no gimmicks or trends or hacks or tricks. There are only fundamentals. There are only fundamentals. This means you won't get screwed over by things such as market or algorithm changes. Will never have to rely on referrals ever again. Going to put the word solely. And you will have enough lead flow to confidently scale up your business. Something like that. So let's go to what are the costs? Because what difference will it make is the biggest one. And I want to do what what are the risks separately as well in the preemptively overcome objections. One, our program is costs a one time fee of US$4,000 and this will get you access for an entire year. You will get the plan in Trello, feedback in Slack, skill development in Kajabi, systems in Kajabi and accountability, something of that nature. This funnel is meant to be done in 120 days. While working on it just one hour per day from Monday to Friday. If you work on it more, you will get it done faster. If you work on it less, you will get it done slower. Either way, you have one year's access for optimizations, feedback and so on. So you will definitely be able to complete it regardless of how consistent you are. Something like that. Let's make this a little bit smaller. Let's make this just a consistent size. So after month one there are going to be different objectives for each month. During the 120 days you will know whether or not you are on the right track based on whether or not accomplished these objectives. After month one you will have accomplished and I'm just going to go X, Y, Z here. After month, after month two, you will have X, Y, Z. Again just to speed up for the video. After month three you will have X, Y, Z. And finally after month four, you will have X, Y, Z. When you have completed the 120 days and have the entire funnel built, here is what you can expect. X, Y, Z, A, B, C, D, E, something like that. And I'm not going to put that in here just for the sake of time for the video, but you would just put like that kind of stuff in there and it's just kind of paints a better picture in their minds so they can kind of see it, you know, especially if you have a service that takes, you know, isn't going to get them results and you know, seven days you need to paint a picture in their mind a clear roadmap because people can't read your mind and people don't do a good job of doing this in sales. If you needs to take time, like just be honest about it, right? So let's get to the next step here. So let's go to the. Let's just get a recap here. So usually I like to do what difference will this make and what are the risks last? And I like to do this because, you know, I think they're the most important ones, quite frankly. And what difference will this make? You know, this could be a checklist, a point form, could be really anything you want. So I'm just going to do it kind of like this and I'm going to do maybe five different Bullet points just for this video at least. But you could do more, you could do less. It's really up to you. There's no one way to do anything. And then for the risks, there's going to be different risks. But what you want to do is name the risks. Because if you don't name them, people are going to either think you're trying to hide them or they're going to think that you don't even understand what the risks are. And that's not good for you either. So you want to name the risks, but then you want to go and kind of talk about how what you're selling is going to solve these problems and then you get the best of both worlds. So in the context of, you know, I'm selling a program called A thousand x Leads, you will never have to rely on referrals, networking or word of mouth ever again. You will have enough consistent lead flow that you can feel confident enough to hire the best talent. Like that's a big problem when people don't have enough lead flow. Like you can't hire those, you know, more expensive executives that you need to grow, but you're not going to grow without them. So it's kind of a, you know, catch 22 type thing here. And that's why what difference it'll make. You will never be worried about where your next client comes from. And as such, you won't have to take on nightmare clients that you can tell would not be pleasant to work with. You will be able to charge a premium because you have more demand for your services than supply and you will have higher margins. And then the last one. And there's many things, many ways that this will make a difference, but we're just going to name five for this video. You'll be able to charge a premium because you'll have more demand for your services and supply. And the last one is you will be less needy and as such it will be much easier to make sales or something like that. What are the risks involved? So the biggest one is building this entire funnel takes a lot of time, skills and knowledge. But we have made it as easy as possible by condensing the entire bill, by condensing years of trial and error into a 120 day bill, step by step plan in Trello. So what are the other risks? You will be generating a lot more leads and closing a lot more clients which could strain your operations. But we have an entire operations and employ training system to help you do this. Like a, that's a big problem for a lot of people and a reason why they might not buy because, you know, I need to focus on my operations first is kind of a common thing to say or common thing to think. And you know, it is what it is when you're trying to sell something. Like you don't get to decide what the common objections and concerns are. Target market decides. So you got to address that and you know, figuring what could be the third one. And I'm just going to do a third one for this and there's could be some more but we got to stop somewhere for the purposes of this video or it's just going to be way too long. But the third one is kind of like, you know, I don't know what the third one could be here. You know, building things like lead magnets, ads, cold emails, etc. You know, is a steep learning curve. But we give you frameworks, feedback in Slack and more or something like that. And again, this is just an example, but that's what you would be doing. So we have answered all of these questions and again if you just answer these questions like very basically you're going to have a great sales presentation. So at this point we're basically done here. Oops, let's get a different color for that though. We're done here. We're done here. We're done here. We're done here. I think this will take 7 to 12 minutes. I'm not going to time it, just that would make the video 7 to 10 minutes longer unnecessarily. But I think, you know, 40ish slides is 7 to 12 or 7 to 10 minutes. Especially when you're talking it and going off like on a tangent a little bit. Because you're not going to be, you're not going to be. How would you say reading it verbatim or you shouldn't be should sound more natural. And then after this is done, the number one thing you want to ask them is okay, you know, stop sharing your screen or do whatever. So, okay, what do you think about a thousand x leads on a scale of 1 to 10 from you know, you are 10 is you're ready to buy it right now. You know, one is this is definitely not for you, you know, in between is in between. And they're going to say something like seven or eight or nine and you say okay, so what could we do to get that 7 to a 9 for example, or what do you need from me? What information is. And that's a great way to transition from the sales presentation to the what I would call the objections and concerns and FAQs phase, where you're going to finish up all the FAQs and going for the close. So these five steps together are going to get you everything you need to know about the actual sales presentation part of a call. And the better you make this presentation, the higher your close rate will be and the faster people will close. So with that being said, that is the end of this video. Thank you for watching and I will see you in the next one.
