This Spreadsheet Saves Me Hundreds of Thousands of Dollars

Matt (creator) demonstrates a practical, single-sheet asset tracker for businesses/agencies: a spreadsheet that lists every company asset (ads, content, lead magnets, landing pages, offers, IP, operations, etc.) with links, logins, responsible person, short video overviews, and a completion checkbox. He claims the spreadsheet is responsible for a large portion (~25%) of his agency’s success, argues it takes ~20 minutes to scaffold, and presents it as a tool for organization, onboarding, sharing, and progress-tracking across the marketing funnel. The video is a short, actionable walkthrough intended to encourage viewers to build their own sheet.

Hey there everybody, it's Matt. And in this video I'm going to show you one of the things that I think is going to make your life so much easier and keep you more organized and on track. And that is going to be creating a asset sheet for your entire business and funnel with all of the different assets, the links to each, the logins for each who uses them, and kind of also use the same thing as sort of like a tracking thing to measure progress for the implementation of your entire funnel. So let's get started. I unironically think that 25% of the agency success that I've had is all because of a spreadsheet that you can make in like I'm not going to undersell it, but maybe like 20 minutes, it's not five minutes or it's not two minutes, but something like this can be done easily in about 20 minutes. And no, I'm probably not going to link it in the bio. You are an adult at this point I would assume, and you can do this yourself. It's just a spreadsheet with some words in it. There's not even any logic necessary. So what I do and what I've done here is I have built a spreadsheet that houses all of what I would, you know, titled my assets in this. So everything for the company that I use, that, the employees use, that partners use, absolutely anything and we have it inside it like this. So we have the category. So these are all my assets for paid ads, for example, these all are my assets for written content, video content, outreach, all of that kind of stuff. And then basically we'll have a link to it, we'll have an email login associated with it if that's, if that's relevant. We'll have who uses this? Because sometimes, especially if you have a large company, like a lot of stuff is going to be added into this and you're going to be like, where did this even come from? So who uses this? Or who added this? So Matt added this, or Yannick, who's one of my employees and added this or Leo, you'd have a video overview on how to use it. Assuming that it's complicated, but it is kind of good practice to just even have a two minute loom and then is this completed or not? So we have everything organized by its function. Basically in our top of funnel we have the paid ads, written content, video content, outreach, partnerships. In the middle of the funnel we have the lead magnets, landing pages, email flows. At the bottom of the funnel we have digital products, affiliate webinars, live workshops, newsletters, communities and appointment setting. Now we have a website and kind of company wide stuff. We have our offers, sales, intellectual property and assets. And then this is a work in progress. As you can see. We might have our operations, we might have the next one could be employee training. So let's just throw that down there. Employee training and then anything that's, you know, kind of like admin maybe. So this is so valuable because as your company grows, you know you're going to get further and further away from it. And not only that, but more people are going to essentially, you know, be creating stuff that is nonsense to anybody besides them or not nonsense, but not important. And if you have this all in a spreadsheet and it's labeled and it's sorted by its function, becomes very, very easy for anyone in the company to just get it and to use it and to find it or even, you know, yourself. Because I can't tell you how many times I created something that probably was important at the time and then never opened it again because I just forgot that I even created it. So if you have something like that, you have something in a sheet like this, you're never going to forget it. I can instantly go to all of my lead magnets that I created last November and I'm going to continue filling this out because it's a work in progress but a worthy video subject. You might have all of your affiliate links, for example, you might have, you know, all of your case studies, for example, you know, so you know, anytime someone needs it yourself, you know, a lead asks for case studies. Oh, no problem, bro. I'll just go down here. Oh, there. Now we'll get our case studies and then send it off to them. I just mimicked, you know, just a browser, but I've sent that to them in email or whatever because I know someone's going to be like, why did he paste in the browser? Tough, tough. It is a skill issue, no doubt about it. So this is going to take 20 minutes to create the, maybe the outline or you know, this stuff. But adding the links and all of that kind of stuff is an ongoing process because I, you know, have a small company, a thousand X leads in terms of people right now, like number of contractors, employees. So I just had it kind of dumped in like this and then just a little category thing here so you could sort it by, you know, alphabetically. But now as it's growing, as we're getting more serious, I'm going to, you know, fill out this spreadsheet and have transfer all of this stuff over. And I'm probably doing that by the end of the, you know, after the video. And it's just going to be so easy to share throughout the company. What do I need? You know, okay, here it is. Someone asked for something. Here it is. It's going to save you so much time and give you so much more clarity and so much more pride that you are an organ an an organized genius that, you know, it's going to make your operations your content, your top of funnel, your middle of funnel, your bottom of funnel so much smoother. And the nice thing about it is like you can kind of treat this as something of a, you know, checklist as well. Okay, I have all of this stuff done. Look at how much progress I'm making. And on the flip side, okay, you know, why is, you know, why is the white label offer doc not done? Okay, we gotta work on that. So not only will it help you organize, but it's just such a nice mental thing for any business or agency owner to have. And I think that unironically, like I said at the start of the video, this is 25% of my success maybe where it trickles down to operations, to traffic, to, you know, teamwork, to absolutely everything. And it's simple enough to make. But I haven't seen too many people before, I've, you know, become their consultant and told them to. I haven't seen too many people do this. So it's something that you can do right now. It's very, very actionable and I hope you take this advice and implement it. But that's going to be the end of the video. It's more of a short one that's more actionable. Doesn't take that much time to explain this concept. So if you like this video, subscribe to my channel. I post like this every single day and I will see you in the next one.
