In the last 6 months, one of the biggest questions I have been asked by people is, can't I just outsource all of my content to AI and have AI write everything for me? Because let's be real, it's a lot easier to have an engine or a robot write all of your content. So is it a wise idea to do that? And I'm going to tell you no. The reason I'm going to tell you no is because when you use AI to write your content, what you will discover is that if you want it to be original, aka your content, you are going to spend as much time editing what you get back from an AI robot as you would if you wrote it yourself. Now, there's an argument to be made that that's actually easier for a lot of people. The terror and the anxiety of the blank page stumps a lot of people in their tracks. If you're that person and you know that the hardest part of writing is just sitting down and actually doing it, then using an AI engine like ChatGPT could be really helpful for you. However, remember that all of that content is pushed back up into ChatGPT, so you must edit your content so that it is your tone of voice, Your point of view, and it's your, it's your content really. And while it's tempting to just have ChatGPT do it all for you, it's a big, big risk, especially if there's anything in that content that you want to trademark, you want to put into a book, or you otherwise want to be your own. So when it comes to writing, as a writer, you have to figure out what is hard for you. Is it writing? Is it editing? Is it coming up with the ideas? Is it just making time to do it at all? There are people out there that do all of these services. One of the biggest things that we've sold at Crownsville Media in the last year has actually been content production. And we do it from an SEO lens. So we're going to help you figure out what are the keywords, what are your clients looking for, and then we're going to help write it for you. But we are actually writing it, which is very different than someone that's just funneling it through a ChatGPT and then spitting that article back to you. So what I want you to walk away with is know that whatever your pain point or your deficit is, There's an answer for that, but you still have to do all of the steps. Marketing is marketing. It isn't easy for any of us. You can't just outsource everything to other people and hope to have authentic, heartfelt results. It doesn't work that way. People want to know you. That's why I have to be standing in front of this camera actually producing my own videos, because without my voice, Crownsville Media is just another agency out there and there's no personality or heart behind it. And if you want people to feel the vibe of you behind your brand, you must be involved in it in whatever way you have to be. So content is a very strong part of the game. Look at what you are good at, what you need help with, and get help for those things. But don't shortcut it and just hand it over to ChatGPT. It may not bite you in the butt today, but you can guarantee down the road it absolutely will.
