So someone emailed you telling you they can guarantee number one page placement on Google. Is that real? No, that's not real. No one in the SEO space can make a guarantee of any kind. And here's why. When you're doing an SEO project, it is dependent on the site, how long that website's been online, how much content is on that site, what kind of reputation that site has, how much content you've published, how often you publish. There are many, many variables. Anyone that says that they can guarantee you placement is buying placement for you. They've got some sort of backdoor deal. They're buying you placement, but the second you stop paying for that, it goes away. It is not real. It is purchased like an ad. It is not grown like SEO. So always be leery of anybody saying guaranteed. If you want a guarantee, advertise. Google AdWords will get you a guaranteed top space for as long as you're paying for your ads, and then you're in control. But guarantees in SEO, that's a fairy tale.
