This is a YouTube video titled "I couldn't agree more! 🙌" containing a monologue by Melissa Dlugolecki recorded in November 2024. In this authoritative content piece, Melissa shares her perspective on work-life balance, emphasizing that true balance is about finding joy and happiness in one's work rather than merely tolerating it.
I hear people on social media say things like, I work 9 to 5, Monday through Friday. I have great work life balance. And you ask them, do you like your job? No, no, no. I don't like it at all. I'm like, you don't have work life balance. You have 40 hours a week, every week that you hate. That's not balance. That's tolerance. My work is my joy. This is my hobby. I would rather be doing this right now than playing a round of golf, than watching a movie, than playing a video game. This, me and you right now. I love it. I enjoy it to no end. And I think that's the ultimate work life B. Work life balance to me is happiness. On all equations.
