This is a YouTube video titled "The difference between stories and posts on Instagram 📖📷 #shorts" containing a monologue by Melissa Dlugolecki recorded in August 2023. In this content, Melissa shares her thoughts on why she drafts and deletes Instagram stories, emphasizing the deeper connection stories create with followers and her strategy for managing story content and engagement.
I started drafting and deleting my stories. Here is why. 1. I love stories. So fun. It's a way where I feel like I can actually connect on a deeper level. I love the DM replies I get. And rather than, you know, in post where we're looking for new engagement, maybe inviting new people in or sharing value with who we have, stories are people who have opted into you. They're already following. They want to be in your energy, they want to be in your community. They want to connect. You're the people I want to talk to. Right? Those who are here want to go deeper, want to build more, you know, connection and trust. And sharing value can be a little bit goofier. But I started deleting and drafting for two reasons. One, if after 20 hours people haven't viewed my story, they're probably not that interested. So I delete it to make space. Two, I will get creative flows and downloads and I'll record so many stories that it would be like so I draft them and save them for times when I'm not as inspired.
