Melissa Dlugolecki explains how to spot burnout by watching what people do, not what they say. She focuses on real experiences like weekend partying and Sunday scaries to help you recognize when someone is actually burned out.
When I'm writing content, I like to think about what would it look like if I'm watching it on Netflix? Meaning, what does burnout look like? Because the person's not running around saying, I'm burned out, I'm burned out, I'm burned out. But what are they doing? Because they're burned out. And so I would really, for each of you, look at what is my person doing because of the symptom. How are they acting it out? Right? Are they doing crypto? Are they putting money in something of this? Are they, you know, just going to training after training, after training, but they're not actually taking action, like, whatever it may be. So I would look at that. And then I think in terms of the partying and living for the weekend, I would lead. And this is something else. Like, as much as we can always lead with making it about them, the better. Do you find your. Have you ever found yourself hungover, having a case of the scary Sundays or whatever, Sunday scaries?
