De 90 dagen vuistregel gaat niet meer op.

Maichel questions the common industry '90 days' rule for used-car profitability and works through a numeric example to show it may be a myth. He computes daily variable holding costs from a 10,000 EUR purchase price with 20% annual depreciation and 4% financing (result: 2,400 EUR/year or ~6.58 EUR/day). Using an asking price of 12,500 EUR, target gross margin 1,000 EUR, negotiation allowance 750 EUR and preparation costs 750 EUR, he arrives at a naive breakeven of ~152 days but after subtracting fixed/general costs (estimated 500 EUR) the true breakeven is ~75 days. He concludes the 90-day rule doesn't hold universally and advises dealers to calculate their own breakeven holding time.
