In this brief introductory segment, Jan Keck (presented as Jan Kek) outlines his 90‑minute workshop titled “A Little Campfire,” part of the Never Done Before Festival. He frames the session as a process for turning strangers into deep, meaningful friends through a series of vulnerable conversations and interactive activities. Keck emphasizes the importance of participants keeping their cameras and microphones on to enable genuine connection, likening the effort to lighting a log with a spark—skipping steps will prevent the fire (connection) from catching. The goal is to ignite “sparks” of friendship within a short, structured timeframe.

Come on. Yeah, didn't think it was gonna work. When you try to light a big log with just a spark, it's not really gonna work because we're skipping half of the process. And it's the same when we want to facilitate deep, meaningful connections for participants. My name is Jan Kek, and in my session for the Never Done Before Festival, we are going to start A little campfire, and hopefully we will ignite some sparks. We will go through the different steps of turning strangers into deep, meaningful French friends. We're gonna help turn strangers into friends within just 90 minutes, and there will be lots of vulnerable conversations. There will be lots of interactive activities. So please make sure that you have your cameras on, you have a working microphone. Because otherwise it's gonna be very, very hard for you to connect with the other participants. I hope to see you there.
