Bring a visible timer, printed agenda, M&Ms, and templates to your workshop. These physical tools keep activities on schedule, give people something to work with, and create a relaxed space where thinking happens.

So now that you informed the participants, it's time to pack your toolbox and to get ready. So step number 7 is pack your toolbox. Usually I always bring a timer just to make sure that the exercises remain within the scheduled time and also to be visual for the participants how much time they actually have left. Also, I print out the agenda just for me to have it on paper And no need to get any digital devices out that I don't want the participants to use either. And I always bring M&Ms because it's just nice to share a little bit of food and a little bit of bad conscience together. Finally, if you use templates for the exercises— and I'm a big fan of templates because it just helps to structure the process of thinking and generating ideas and prioritizing— Don't forget to print them out before going to the workshop. So step number 7: Pack your toolbox to make your workshops work.
