Nathan Miller on why jumping straight from school into entrepreneurship forces faster maturity than the typical path. School gives you friends, structure, meals. Business strips that away and makes you independent years earlier than your peers.

Yeah, I just kind of realized that being like an entrepreneur and doing any kind of sort of business, it really pops the bubble of school. And in general, like, school, you can rely on it for friends, you can rely on it for structure, you rely on it even sometimes for food, even for hobbies, people you hang out with. Like, it's your whole life. But when you make the leap of going from school of some sort, whether it's high school, college, whatever you're doing, to just going straight into your entrepreneurship journey. Like, you have to grow up so fast. You become so independent, and it's actually a good thing in my opinion because you become very self-reliant. You build the discipline and you build all these things you need to sustain you for the rest of your life, rather than waiting till you're 22 years old and then realizing, wow, now I'm in the real world.
