Day in the Life of a Christian Entreprenuer in SLC

In this vlog‑style video Nathan Miller walks viewers through a typical day as a Christian e‑commerce entrepreneur based in Salt Lake City. He begins with his morning ritual—cold plunge, pasture‑raised eggs, turkey bacon, sourdough, and a medium‑roast iced coffee—followed by a visualization practice that he uses to “live” his future goals. Nathan then moves into his “war room,” where he spends 60‑70% of his day managing multiple Shopify stores, checking performance dashboards, and coordinating a remote team of editors, virtual assistants, a developer, and a landing‑page crew. He shares his productivity system (large daily notepad, flow‑state music, phone‑off discipline, single‑tab focus) and hiring criteria for video editors, emphasizing conversion‑focused ad experience over viral‑only reels. Mid‑day he hits the gym, alternates between two facilities, and later does creative strategy work, scriptwriting with AI, and onboarding to a new subscription platform. Throughout the day he intersperses nature walks, a quick grocery run, and a dinner of steak and peppers. In a Q&A segment he answers audience questions about his faith journey, motivation, workout routine, team structure, avatar validation, and the balance between work and life. The video closes with a nightly Bible reading, a reflection on how his Christian faith underpins his business mindset, and a call to viewers to pursue their dreams with purpose.
Questions this video answers
I grew up Christian with a pastor dad, but I didn’t fully place my faith until I was 18, when I took a leap of faith and decided to trust everything the Bible says.
Caffeine helps a lot, and having a concrete plan written the night before gives me direction first thing in the morning.
I follow a push‑pull‑legs split, add cardio after legs, and focus on lifting heavy.
I use GetHooked to search for the avatar or pain point, then look at how many advertisers are already running 100+ ads in that niche; if there’s enough volume, it’s a winning avatar.
I take short nature breaks daily, love e‑commerce, and keep freedom to do things like golf or a quick drive, but I usually lock in and stay disciplined.

I'm about to hop in the cold plunge. I usually do this every morning. It's just a good way to kind of like get yourself in the spirits of the day, wake you up a little bit. All right, so this is the cold plunge. The ice pod, as you guys can see, just looks like a plunge of cold. And then down here to 37 degrees, which is a bit nippy. I'm not excited to get in, but we gotta do it anyway. So usually what I do is I'll play like, I don't know, a song that I like. Right around 9am and I'm gonna whip up some breakfast. So the usual breakfast for the Nate dog is pasture raised eggs. Gotta get the organic. Pasture raised. You already know I didn't wrap this up. Smells fine to me. Some turkey bacon. And then usually I like to eat a little bit of fruit. I don't have that much left, so I'm just gonna finish off. I have here. We do some sourdough bread too. Let's get it right. Get some of that. So while the bacon's cooking, sometimes you gotta practice the old schwing. Shanked it. Yeah, I'm gonna be lazy today. I'm literally gonna crack the egg straight in there because. Why not? So that was a interesting one. I usually do like four. Four eggs. I don't know how much protein that is, but it's a good amount. So four eggs, four pieces of turkey back on, and then probably two pieces of sourdough with some fruit. That's a good breakfast. So. Hi, I'm Nathan. Welcome to a day in my life.
I, like, really love E Com.
I've been, like, getting addicted to this E Comm stuff. I'm not even lying. Yeah.
Cause he sees me making so much money close up asmr.
I'm shooting bro. Potato sacrifice. Going with the medium roast, unsweetened iced coffee. All right, so this is my little caffeine hit for the morning. And then now I'm gonna get my headphones. Get the wired headphones because they're aura. And then go sit outside and listen to, like my visualization playlist. All right, so usually I just find like a nice place. Sometimes I'll go over there because it's a nice little nature spot. Visualize, you know, me reaching the goals I set out for myself. Visualize my future, like abundance and good things and kind of like run through my head. Like I'm actually living in that scenario right now. Like I'm already there. And then it kind of puts me at this like, frequency where I start thinking, like, I'm already there. And then once you start thinking like you're already there, then you're basically there. So that is something I try to do every single day. It's very important. I know a lot of people sleep on that. So now we're going to go into the war room and do some work. The war room. We got knives in here. All right, so this is where I spend probably 60 to 70% of my day is in here, just literally working. As you guys can see right here. This is how I stay productive. This is, like, my daily list. And I used to make it on, like, a notepad. This, like, this small. But ever since I started using this large notepad, I've been getting, like, so much more done because I can just write so much more. But I just basically, every night, just go through everything that I want to get done the next day, put it on the list. I put everything on here that I can think of. And then I kind of have, like, just a schedule for my day, basically, and then go through and check it off. I've been doing this kind of list for probably, like, a year, year and a half. And I will say this is probably one of the biggest things that have led to my success. One of the biggest tips for sure. So I definitely recommend that. And if you guys are looking for, like, music to listen to while you work, because I honestly think it helps a lot. Dude, these, like, Flow State studio videos are, like, insane. I listen to all these, like, all the time. Shout out to Ben. Ben's the real one. Hopefully he's watching this video. Just about to start getting to work. Want to give you guys some tips on how to get into, like, Flow State or how I kind of get into my deep work. Number one, like I said, play music. And then also one thing I'll do if I'm going to be working and I, like, know I don't have to have my phone, I will literally, like, put over here, put it face down. You want to want it to be, like, out of reach so you can't touch it. And because you know how bad our phones are, they're very addicting. And so I always get the impulse to, like, check it, and then I'll check it. So someone texted me or got an email and be like, oh. And then I'm distracted, so I want to make sure that I'm locked in. Also, I try to separate my tabs if I'm doing, like, let's say something work for YouTube or if I'm doing work for my Shopify store, I'll make sure I have like a window for each of those. So I don't like have all these other like distractions up here in the tab. So I'm just making sure I'm working on the one task at a time. Like 9:47am this is around kind of when I start working like 9 to 10. And usually it's just kind of checking in on my team, so checking with my bas, checking in with my editors, fulfillment, all those sorts of things. Things checking on the stores as well, like checking on performance, see how the stores are doing, and then just kind of knocking out some like, easier tasks. Nothing crazy. I usually save like the, the bulk of the work for after I go to the gym, which we'll do later. So this is just kind of like getting everything dialed in, you know, checking up on stuff, answering emails, taking care of like any like little things I need to do before we start going to the gym. All right, as you guys can see, yesterday, these are like, the numbers are looking like profit is actually more than this. I was testing a product and I spent like $500 on the test or something. So it's actually like closer to 2700. But this is like kind of like a typical day right now. Main store is doing really well. Very happy about that. Very blessed. So basically just going to lock in and get to work now. I'm actually looking for some new editors for my creative team. So I have this form, Google form that I created and I'm just kind of going through some of the responses. And this guy right here, basically I just watched this video. He filmed like a little one minute intro for me. He's from India, which is fine. A lot of good editors are from India. But the thing that kind of made me not want to go with him was he was talking about how well one, he has a background in like Instagram reels and like TikToks and stuff like that. But he's just kind of new to like the editing game. Like, doesn't necessarily. I think he hasn't worked for someone making like actually Facebook ads or like any ads yet. And usually if you're hiring an editor, like you need that, they have to have some sort of experience with that because it's a lot different than reels. There are some like overlap, but we're trying to make content that converts, not content that just goes viral the other end. All right, yep. Definitely not what I'm looking for, so gonna have to continue Looking. It's important to compare, like, multiple candidates versus just kind of like, interviewing one. That's something that I've learned, because if you just interview one, then you don't really know how good of an editor it is compared to the other ones. So after I'm working for a little bit, if I'm getting a little, you know, antsy, or if I feel I just want to take a quick break, I'll come in here and shoot some. Oops. There you go. Oh, and as you guys can see, we got my beautiful McLaren right here. 720s. It's 12 right now. It's noon, and we're already at 4k in sales of the day. Not too shabby. Not too shabby, guys. We're at Harmon's. This is, like, my favorite grocery store around here. It's a nice spot. So let's go in here. Oh, it smells so good. This is where I get my sourdough. Get it right here. But right now, I just want an energy drink for the gym, so gotta find something. All right, so this is the Utah gym. University of Utah. I know. Pan around. We got some basketball courts. Right now we're at, like, the track upstairs. So I'm just gonna stretch out a little bit, get loose, and then we're gonna hit some back and by stretch out the shoulders. All right, guys, quick update. Unfortunately, we got knocked on, so we can't be filming even with an iPhone in the Utah gym, which. Thanks, because I wanted to show you guys where I work out every day. So we're go to this other gym that I still paid for, called eos, which is in the city, and it's next to, like, Whole Foods and stuff. It's kind of a cool spot. So we're gonna head over there and get a lift. It's all right, guys, it's 4:00pm right now. I was just doing some work. I still have some other tasks I have to finish up right now for, like, my current brand and the ones I want to start, I do all the creative strategy, like, personally right now, and that's something I'm really, like, learning and trying to get better at. Hopefully soon I can actually find someone to do this for me and outsource it, but that's kind of what I was doing. So I was creating scripts using mainly AI, which is something I do a lot. And then I was also onboarding onto a new subscription platform. So that's going to be a huge lever that I'm pulling today. Also during this time, I like to take A little bit of time and either go on YouTube or, you know, go through one of these, like, communities I'm in and just take time to like, learn and absorb information. I think it's very important. You don't want to get to a level and then stop learning. I think continuing to become better at whatever you're trying to do is a super important thing that you have to do consistently to be able to like, actually, like, take it a step further. So that's something I prioritize every day as well. So I posted on Twitter real quick and I asked anyone to ask questions because I'm doing a day in the life. And yo, Nathan commented, what do you do now and what's the workload actually when you do brands that have 100k per month, like, what do you actually do if you have editors, creative strategist, customer bas, and what is your actual tax? So kind of like asking about my team. So my team set up right now is I do have a couple of editors that edit videos for me. I do all the creative strategist or creative strategy myself. And so I have to go and do like the research with AI, go into like Reddit forums, look at customer reviews, comments, all that stuff to kind of get some good inspiration for, you know, different angles and copy to try in our ads. And then I will send scripts that I make to my editors and then they will create the videos themselves. And that's kind of how I make ads. Right now. Customer service have a few VAs, but I have like three right now. So that is completely dialed in. They take care of all the emails. Anything that I need, they just kind of handle for me and I just have to check in with them every day. And I mean, pretty much that's it. Have some other VAs that do like miscellaneous tasks. I have a developer who, you know, will help me with coding on my site. I have a landing page team that will outsource my landing pages to if I need to. So there's a few different things that I don't really do anymore. I work a lot more on the business rather than in it now, which is honestly I'm very happy about. And hopefully sometime soon I can branch out and actually get it and train a legit creative strategist. That's going to free me up a lot more time and it's going to be very nice. But for now I'm kind of working on that, making sure I know what I'm doing. But yeah, so so far it's going good and that's kind of what my team setup looks like right now. Puzzles are great because I watch like a YouTube video. Actually. I don't know how accurate this is is, but I did watch a YouTube video talking about how puzzles are like, fastest way to get better, and I definitely believe it. So now we're eating. What time is it? Like seven? It's like seven or something's cooked for us. Very, very nice of him. And yeah, got some steak, got some peppers here. Pretty simple, pretty easy, but, you know, clean, so. All right, we're hitting up one of our favorite kings to drive through. Gonna help us find some cool spots. We're gonna get a little bit of nature in. So.
Found this spot. Just completely random. This is the coolest ever. So I'm taking, taking the spot. This is in the middle of Colorado. This is like 34 degree water, straight snow runoff.
I don't know, it doesn't feel as cold as our. Oh, I thought he was doing a dodge. All right, guys, so. So we're back in the office. Just had some fun, went out in nature, but at the end of the night, I always have to lock in, get back to my team because they all live on the other side of the country, or world, I should say. I don't know why I said country. So just texting, getting back to them, getting back to my landing page designer. I also gotta finalize plan out tomorrow. I need to look through some editor job posts on upwork because I am looking for a new editor for my creative team. And then after that, we're kind of just gonna wind down and chill. Posted on Instagram and asked you guys to ask me some questions. So I'm go through those real quick. First question is, how did I find God? That's a good question. But I truly found God. I grew up Christian, my dad's a pastor, but I never really, like, actually placed my entire faith in him until I was like 18 years old. And honestly, dude, it wasn't anything crazy. Like, I never truly, like, actually placed my entire faith in God and, like, truly believed everything that the Bible said. And I was like, I'm just going to go for it and just see what happens. And it helped me with a personal problem, like, a lot. And ever since then, it's just been, you know, up, up and up and up. So it was more of a leap of faith, I would say. How to wake up and be motivated to do things. I am not motivated to do things when I wake up, but couple of tips. Caffeine, Caffeine helps a lot and also kind of having a plan. That's why this is important to do at the end of every day, not in the morning. Because if I did this in the morning, it would be terrible and probably wouldn't happen. But since I do this at the end of the day, I come in already knowing what I'm going to do. This is my list. By the way, how often do you talk to your siblings? Do you miss your older sister Ashley? I do miss you and I did try to call you the other day and get an answer. So there's that. But I will. We should talk soon. Christian. Dude, my whole family's l what's your current workout routine? So right now, bro, just do push, pull legs. Cool legs as much. I've been doing legs a little bit. I've been doing legs a little bit and then I do cardio after. So nothing crazy. Just try to lift heavy. What's the one thing or thought that keeps you going when you don't feel like it? There's a lot. To be honest, I have a lot of things that keep me going. One is just like the thought that because I have achieved a decent amount at this point with like at the age I am, I just know like the potential that I have and missing out on that potential and kind of like wasting my time or just not getting where I'm supposed to be. That thought really scares me and that just pushes me to really, like push myself. That's that. There's a lot of things, though. How do you validate an avatar is good enough to run big tan to run? I use get hooked. This is a great question, by the way. I use get hooked and I'll go in and search up that specific avatar or pain point and then see see sort by people who are running like a hundred ads or more, which you can do on get hooked. And then if there's a decent amount of people in there already selling into that angle or the avatar that I know, it's a winning avatar. And that's how I do my avatar research as well. How to stop being lazy. That's a good one. I mean, I have days where I'm lazy for sure. Everyone has those days. But I would say it's just kind of when you start being consistent and you kind of keep building those blocks, just doing a little bit better every day. And eventually you just get in the habit of being in the habit of doing a lot and doing stuff. And the list obviously helps. Like I talk about, why don't you Try building a brand instead of dropshipping. So right now, drop shipping is the easiest way to start a brand. Like, dropshipping is like, it's so low risk. Does it make sense for me really to, like, just build a brand and invest in all this inventory when I don't know if it's going to work? So might as well do drop shipping at first and then build it into a brand. That's what the plan is, and that's what we do. Have you ever tried an agency? Not for ads. I don't really think you need to do an ads for agency or agency for ads. But I do use an email agency. I think that's something you can outsource. So how do you balance your work in life, bro? I mean, I just get a little bit of nature every day, but I genuinely love working. I love E. Com. I feel like when you're doing what you want to do and you kind of actually have control over what you want to do. Because I still have freedom, right? Like, I can. I want to go midday and go hit some golf balls or something. I can do that, but usually I don't. I choose to lock in and I just. Yeah, I just take times here and there to go do stuff. Get your W2 yet, Jerry? I did get my W2. Thank you so much. It came in yesterday and I got your sticker as well. So I got your sticker right here. Might put it on my new Tacoma when I get it. We'll see. All right, guys, so right now I'm going to go ahead and do my daily reading of the Bible. This is something that I definitely recommend is. Grounds me every day and just learning more about, you know, Jesus and just what the Bible has to say. There's so much knowledge in here that you can really take advantage of, even for business. Honestly, there's a lot of good knowledge in here. So I wouldn't say that's why you should be reading it, but this is a habit that I've made, and it's just completely transformed my life, so. All right, guys. So that is basically a day in my life, honestly. Usually I probably actually work more than I did today, but I wanted to do. Do some stuff with you guys, kind of show you guys some cool nature spots. So it's been a great day, and I'm glad I got to show you guys around. Got to show you guys kind of what we do to show you guys what's possible when you place your faith in God and, you know, you lock in and pursue your dreams, you can do. Anything that you put your heart to, anything that you believe and see, you can have. And I truly believe that. And I'm living it. So thank you, guys for watching and peace.
