God’s Plan Took Me From Lost to $15K Days

Nathan Miller went from playing video games and eating junk food to making $15,000 revenue days. He credits Proverbs 3:1-12 and a relationship with God for the turnaround, saying setbacks like being cut from a college baseball team were blessings that built his character and led to his current success.

Not too shabby. Today was a good day. We did 15k in revenue, but it always wasn't like this. I've definitely come a long way in my life, and there was a time that I didn't know what I wanted to do, and there was a time that I didn't have direction and I was lost. And I remember I was just doing things every day that would kind of distract me. I'd play a bunch of video games, eating junk food, you name it, all the different stuff. I never got into drugs, thankfully, but I was really lost for a long time. And now that I'm doing things, I'm having success, obviously, and things are going well. It's really shown me because I've had times where I've done really good and then after I've fallen off and then I've come back. Right. That's kind of what happens to a lot of people. But when I fell off and I was like everything was going wrong and I was really just questioning a lot of things, I honestly, I had a lot of strength, and that strength came from my relationship with God. And I just wanted to share a passage with you guys today that really helped me because it's hard to understand. I feel like for a lot of people and new believers or people maybe, if you don't believe and you were just curious about God, it's hard to understand how he works and might be blaming God for your circumstance. You might be blaming God for, why is this happening? Why am I here? Why? You just don't understand. And hopefully I'm going to read this passage to you and explain how it's helped me a lot with my journey. So it is Proverbs 3, and I'm going to start with Proverbs 3. So it says, trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding. In all your ways, know him, and he will make your path straight. Don't be wise in your own eyes. Fear the Lord and turn away from evil. This will be healing your body and strengthening your bones. Honor the Lord with your possessions and with the first produce of your entire harvest. And then your barns will be completely filled and your vats will overflow with new wine. Do not despise the word, the Lord's instruction, my son. And do not loathe his discipline. For the Lord disciplines the one he loves, just as a father disciplines the son whom he delights. And a lot of people, they might be getting disciplined right now from God. They might be going through a tough time or facing some really tough circumstances, but. Or they could just be thrown a tough task. They could be in a season where they're really getting just beat down and their character's being tested. I definitely have had seasons like that. And that is not God telling you that he doesn't love you. That's not God throwing His wrath at you. He's not mad at you. He's a loving God. And the reason why you're being thrown challenges right now and the reason why going through a tough time is because God knows what you can be. And he wants to build your character. He wants to put you through the tough times so that you come out on the other side a stronger and better person. And it's kind of like that saying that everyone says, smooth seas don't make a great sailor. It's very true. I know in my life, it's very true. I've been through a lot these past few years, and I've had to face a lot of things just by myself. And it's definitely grown my character to a point right now where I feel like I can handle anything just because I've been through a lot. And especially the fact that I know I have God with me by my side. I'm just like. I have so much confidence because I could be working at a Little Caesars in freaking San Diego, or not even San Diego. San Diego is actually kind of nice. But Little Caesars in Indiana, and I'd still be happy because I have God. I know that sounds ridiculous and that sounds crazy, but I truly believe that because he just gives me so much peace. And. And I know that if that's where he wants me to be, I don't think that's where he wants me to be right now. But if that's where he wants me to be, that's the best place for me to be. And everything happens for a reason. And God has a plan for everyone. So if you are going through a tough time or things are not working out the way you want to, or even if you're just questioning a lot of things that are happening in your life and you don't lean on your own understanding, give it to God. Pray about it, and he will sort your ways out always. And you'll look back like I have. You'll look back in a few years, and you'll be like, wow, I'm really glad that I didn't do that. Or I'm really glad that it actually didn't work out the way I wanted to, because there was times in the past. I wanted to play baseball. I wanted to do play college baseball, but I got cut from the baseball team. And I'm super glad that happened because now look where I'm at. I'm so glad it happened. I have an opportunity to make these videos. I have an opportunity to build businesses and just be a good example to people and to share my story and to just become a better person. And I'm just so much better off going through that trial than having it working out the way I wanted to, if that makes sense. So that's kind of what I wanted to talk about in this video. But so I got church tomorrow morning, guys, so gotta get to bed pretty soon. But thank you guys for watching. I will be continuing to upload, hopefully more often. Working on getting some creative team behind me as well. So maybe a new camera setup. We'll see. But thank you, guys. Love y' all in peace.
