I was broke, then I changed my habits, my mindset, and my life.

Nathan Miller went from a $1,000-broke fast-food worker to $7 million in dropshipping sales in three years. He paid for mentorship, joined Discord communities, and spent a year learning media buying and product sourcing. He says dropshipping teaches skills that transfer to running legitimate brands or agencies.

3 years ago, I was working in fast food. I had less than $1,000 to my name, and I was quite literally living paycheck to paycheck. So here is actually what I did to change my situation. I would say the first thing I actually started doing was I stopped taking advice from people, but only people who were not in the position I wanted to be. Some reason, when you're young, you're still kind of figuring out what to do in life. Everyone kind of just throws their opinions at you. Most people listen to those opinions and go in a different direction than what actually fulfills them. But luckily, I had discernment, and I knew what I kind of wanted to do. I always wanted to start some sort of business.. And so that's what I kind of look to do. Honestly, it just started on YouTube. I was looking at different people, watching videos, kind of seeing how they live their life, how they made their money. And I came across dropshipping. At the time, I was super skeptical, but with a little further research, found some Discords that were pretty cheap. They were like $50 or something. And in these Discords, there were a bunch of kids trying dropshipping. And I was thinking to myself, like, you know, it's $50, like, who cares? From then on, it just opened my eyes. I was seeing people make like thousands of dollars a day, tens of thousands of dollars a day. My age, which at the time was like 21 and even under. So from then on, I kind of went balls deep and literally just invested in a mentorship. I was going to trench dropshipping for the next year. Since then, I've done over like $7 million in sales, built a few stores past the $1 mil mark, been able to travel across the world, meet a bunch of friends as well in the community, even buy some cool cars as well. I know a lot of people get into trading, a lot of people get into like bread scaling or whatever. That's in my opinion, dropshipping and e-com is like the coolest business model you can have because you can actually transition it into like a legitimate business. There's brands out there like Gymshark, plenty others that started selling stuff from China, and then eventually they made their own stuff. This scaled up super, super hard. With learning dropshipping, you're learning basically how to run the full e-com brand. So you learn how to media buy, you learn how to create ads, you learn how to set up a website, you learn how to find product, you learn like every skill there is. So at this point, it's cool because like if I really wanted to, which I don't, I could probably start like a ton of different agencies. I just like running my own stuff.
