A creator is launching a daily vlog documenting the entire process of building an ecommerce supplement brand from scratch. He's identified a market gap through Reddit and TikTok, set up a Shopify store, and plans to validate demand with ads before ordering any inventory, refunding early customers until the concept proves itself.

Right. All right, all right. So this is going to be the beginning of a new series. And I just turned the camera on. I don't really have a script or anything here, but I think it'd be super sick. I don't think anyone's actually successfully done it to, like, document the start of an Econ brand. And this is something that I would love to do. Through the process, you guys will be able to see, like, my thoughts, you know, how I come up with ideas, how I execute launching a product, how I test the product and all those different types of things. And I think it also will be a big challenge for me. It'll put me in my comfort zone, out of my comfort zone, because I have a freaking audience that I'm going to be posting to hopefully every day. That is my goal, to post every day. Just a short video summarizing things up. I just think it'd be a really cool opportunity. Technically, yesterday was day one, but we'll count today as day one. I did find an idea already, and so I've been creating, like, a Miro board, kind of making some visualizations of what I want the product to be, what I want to serve and stuff like that. Obviously, I cannot disclose what the product is at this stage at least, because I can't risk people, you know, stealing my idea or copycats coming in. So I gotta really hold this to myself and really just kind of keep it in. But, like, the thing is, like, this is an idea. I think it's a good idea. It's a validated idea that I validated. So it theory it should work, but you don't really know until you test it. So for the next few weeks, probably, probably, hopefully by the end of next week, I will have, you know, my whole store built out, like, landing page. I'll have the product on there, I'll have my offer ready, and then we'll be ready to go, and we'll be ready to actually start building and start testing some ads and whatnot. And so I'm really excited about this and I think it's a really cool opportunity. But first off, with choosing the product, basically what I did is I want to sell in a competitive niche. I know that sounds kind of counterintuitive because a lot of people are like, why would you sell in a competitive niche or a saturated niche or a saturated product? Like, there are a lot of competitors in there. It's going to be hard to stand out, which is kind of true. But at the same time, it is validated that's why it's saturated. That's why it's selling well in these other ways. You just have to find a new way to sell it. It's what a lot of people say, and it's very true. You can take a very saturated product, spin it a little bit, target someone very specific or a new audience, and then you're able to sell it and you'll be able to scale it. And that's how you separate yourself from like the big brands and the different competition and whatnot. So that's my goal. I do have a different niche I want to sell to, and I think they are very passionate niche. You do like buying things and it's actually something I pretty much resonate with as well. So hopefully I'll be able to talk about it a bit more in the future. But for now, I did find the product. I did my deep research. I went to Reddit forums, I went into TikTok, I went into use AI to scrape the Internet and basically find these gaps in the market. And this is one of the gaps that came up and I was like, wow, that is perfect. That is actually something that I would love to start and even attempt. That's really cool. Stoked. So I have the product. I don't have a brand name or anything yet. I made one yesterday, but I got bought a domain and everything. But it's not really making any sense towards this brand. I kind of just bought a generic one. So maybe I'll keep that for now and then I'll switch it up once if we get some traction or whatnot. That's kind of my thoughts on that. But I got the store kind of set up. Shopify payments are set up, everything set up. I just need to actually go through the design process today. On my list here, I'm figuring out the exact ingredients. I want my product. It is going to be a supplement, the exact mechanism or the form I want it to take. So there are different, different thoughts there. I've been kind of just looking through some today. You can do pills, you can do drops, you can do gummies, you can do capsules, you can do powders, you can do like even like chocolate. Like, there's so many different ways you do it. You do like a drink, like energy drink. I don't have any expertise in that. So that would be something I think for later. But and then I also today want to kind of nail down like just basically those two things, like the ingredients and what form it's going to take. And then from there I can get into the packaging design the packaging, all with AI, by the way, which is sick that you do that nowadays. And then testing this. I'm actually not going to test this product with having an inventory, which sounds like kind of stupid, as you like. All right, you're going to no ship now. I will be refunding all the orders, but it's going to take two weeks of probably manufacturing, plus two weeks of shipping if I'm going to get from China, to actually get the product to the States anyway. So if I want to test this, like, fast and, like, work fast, like, I will just simply advertise it, see how it performs. And then depending on how we do, I'll just refund those first orders and then I'll order some inventory and then we'll start the process from there, and then I'll put a little bit more investment into it. But for me, right now, when you don't have any proof of concept from your own stuff, and you don't haven't proven that you can market it effectively, I'm not gonna spend a bunch in the inventory up front. I don't think that's a very smart. I'd rather just refund the first 100 or 500 customers and then execute or maybe just do something. I'll probably just refund them, but then I'll be like, hey, I'm gonna send you a free product anyway, just for your time and stuff like that. So that is my thoughts for now. So today, that is my goal, is to nail down those things I talked about. And then, yeah, so I'm super excited. I'm gonna be making one of these videos, hopefully every day, kind of giving you guys the updates and stuff, probably from this point of view as well. This is my office, so, yeah, I'm very excited. And this is day one.
