Nathan Miller tried the David bar (150 calories, 28g protein) but it caused bloating and gas from lab-modified fats. He switched to Santa Cruz Paleo, which has 20g protein from real ingredients like grass-fed whey and collagen, and doesn't upset his stomach.

I used to be a really big fan of these David bars, but recently I've realized how goy they are. Yes, they have 150 calories, you know, they have 28 grams of protein, which is crazy macros. Every single time I eat one, I get bloated, I start to fart like nothing else, and I could just tell it's not good for me. It tastes really good for a protein bar, but I could just tell. And so I've been actually doing the Santa Cruz Paleo protein bar now because I still want to get my protein in. Like, I just don't eat enough protein throughout the day, like meat-wise, so it's kind of essential for me to take some sort of protein bar. And this one's still still really good. It has 20 grams of protein. If you actually look at the ingredients, there's no BS in there. It's all good stuff. It has grass-fed whey protein, grass-fed collagen. And yeah, it's going to be a little bit more calories, but that's because they're using real fat and actually real ingredients, whereas this David bar is using literally lab-modified fat that they designed so your body cannot digest it. So they basically designed a bar that, yeah, has less calories, but it's prone to give you issues digestion-wise. And if you guys are, you know, on this train of anything, like lab-modified stuff is just not the way to go.
