This Simple Habit Got Me To 50k/Day with Ecom

In this vlog, Nathan Miller shares how a daily journaling/check‑list habit helped him scale his dropshipping store to a $50,000‑a‑day revenue day and put him on track for $1 million‑a‑month. He walks through his physical notebook, explains why writing down tasks each night creates structure and consistency, and illustrates the compound effect of many small actions over time. Miller recounts his two‑year e‑commerce journey with revenue graphs, product pivots, ad platform switches, and team building (VA, editor, Upwork freelancers). He emphasizes mindset—persistence through self‑doubt, belief in incremental progress, and the importance of daily rituals like gym, prayer, and stretching. The video ends with a call to viewers to adopt the habit, noting the fulfillment and productivity boost it provides.

What's going on, guys? Hope everyone's doing well today. If you guys don't know me, I recently, you know, just hit a 50k day with E Commerce. This past week, I've been able to, you know, really scale my store. I'm on pace for a million dollars a month in revenue, which is, you know, pretty sick. You know, really good, really solid profit margins to, like, 25% plus. Very, very thankful. Very, very happy. And I just kind of made this YouTube channel to, you know, be raw, be authentic, and to kind of talk about my journey, you know, and to inspire and motivate you guys. So today, what I wanted to talk about was how much little things matter and the compound effect. So this is right here. This is my journal. Okay? This is my. My daily journal. This is what I use to kind of like, give structure to my day. I know there's a lot of guys out there who. They have, like, a Google Calendar and they have time blocks for everything, right? I don't have that. I don't have time blocks on here. All I have is I fill the page with, you know, things that I need to get done, things I need to check off, things I need to get done. And a lot of these things, they don't take very long. They honestly take, you know, maybe 15 minutes to do. So It's. It could seem, I guess, overwhelming to someone who's a beginner, but who doesn't do this. But I'm telling you guys, I've already. I have another one of these books laying around here somewhere, and it's completely full because I started doing this this year, and this is probably, if not the most, not the biggest thing that's contributed to my success. It's one of the biggest because this is how I stay consistent and how I, you know, just move that needle every day. You know, move like needles are so small, right? If you could just inch it towards your goal every single day and just knock out, you know, some little tasks every day, you're gonna, like, eventually, you know, experience the compound effect, which I'll get into in a little bit. But just for an example, like, you can see on this, this was from a couple months ago, but it says 9, 13, Friday. Hold on. And then it says CNB. That was my old bank. They used to put holds on my card, so I had to call them to increase the limit, check the ads, fulfill orders, upwork, UGC test ads. You know, I have gym. We tracked IO, bank account. I have to call. I get that set up. And then as you guys can see, there's just like a bunch of little things. Like even down here, I have like pray, I have, you know, stretch. I have, I have locked the fuck in, which is basically just get motivated. But like this, like having a notepad and writing stuff down that you want to get done in the day before. And I do this every night, by the way. I create this list every night. And then the next day once you check everything off, like, nothing feels better than that in my opinion. It's so fulfilling. That's how you know you're like on the right path and you're staying consistent. If you guys want, I could, you know, even. Because I used to make this back when I was fucking broke, so. So if you guys want to see what that looked like when I was broke, like what I was doing every day, that kind of got me to here, I could definitely do that. But definitely, guys do this. Write the date down, put some goals or tasks you want to get done in the day. They used to change. There's a couple things that I have that usually say the same, like going to the gym, checking ads, testing, praying, meditating, stretching, and then making a list at the end of the day. All those things, you stay the same. But there are some different things that I have to get done depending on the day. So highly recommend that. And then I want to talk about the compound effect. So because of this list that I just showed you guys, I'm putting in these little small actions every day. Right? Right. It's not like we're not going to invent the wheel every day. You're not going to make this big like wow moment every single day. That's going to like make you a ton of money. It's all about being consistent, doing little consistent things over a longer period of time. That's how you beat out other people. Because most people don't have the nerve, have the belief and have the drive to do something over a long period of time with little results. And you know, obviously like everyone goes through doubt. I had self doubt when it comes to stuff like this along my journey so many times. And the one thing that kept me going is knowing that like, you know, I believed in the compound effect. And so if I literally show you guys right here on this graph, I can draw for you guys, you know, I'm sending revenue, not profit. So we'll do like, let's see, I've been drop shipping for about two years, right? So this will be only a tick right here. It's gonna be One year, okay. And then this right here is gonna be revenue. And then this first year, guys, nothing, nothing. I was not making any revenue. Maybe had a couple blips, a couple sales. I remember around, you know, July I my first like 15k products. So we'll do a little blip for that. And then we're down, we're down, we're down. End of the year, I think I got to 15k. Then January, you know, I had my first money product at 70k in a month or something like that, right. But fell off straight down. It was like this for a few months, guys. And this, this section right here, this was the most like self doubt I've ever had in my life. But I pushed through it, I kept believing. And then switched to Facebook ads. You know, got a product like 30K, you know, went back down and then switched that product and found the one I did now. And that one has literally done this, you know, stayed, you know, relatively safe for a few months. And then this month that's just literally like if I should have made the graph like a little bit smaller because it would be all the way up here, it would be all the way up there. And this just kind of shows you, like, I hope this puts into perspective, you know, that it is worth it to push through. Even if you're not seeing results right now. Like, even if you're, you're at this point or you're at this point, or even if you're at this point, if you've had a winning product and you're back and you're down in the trenches, just keep going. This, what I'm experiencing currently right now, this like peak and it's going to keep going higher. It's inevitable. Like, it's honestly inevitable. The only things that stop you from this is if you just stop learning and you just keep doing the same thing over and over again, which is like obviously insane, or if you just give up. You know, the time horizon is different for everybody. But this is like, this is what happens. This is how a lot of people see success in this business. Like, it's just you have to like these, this whole stage right here was necessary for me to even like be able to like get sales. And then this stage right here, in this stage right here was necessary for me to learn about like different offers and stuff. And then this stage was necessary for me to learn about like what a seasonal product is, what the evergreen product is like, and why you should try to find an evergreen product. And then this was like there were so many issues with this story too, but I was really, like, building out a good team. Like, I had a good va. I had a good editor and stuff like that, and that allowed me to get to here. And so I just highly, highly suggest that if you want to be like, I'm not saying I'm the most successful guy in the world, but I'm doing well for myself right now. If you want to, like, make it in Ecom or in anything in life, just do this. Just do this every day. Just write things down and check them off. It's so simple. It's. It takes, you know, five minutes to create. Every night, it takes even less time to check it off. I don't, like, carry this around. I just leave it on my desk so when I come home, I'll check it off. But it has honestly been the number one way I know that I'm still on that path. So I highly, highly recommend it. And I wanted to make this video because this is genuinely. When I don't, like, make my list. Like, my days are. And there's like, this maybe one day a month or maybe two days a month that I forget to do this somehow. And when that happens, those days, like, the. The productive. The productivity of them are, like, so much less. And I feel so much less fulfilled. I just kind of feel like a zombie, like a robot. Like, I'm just, like, drifting through the day, if that makes sense. But when I have this, you know, I don't have times on here, but I at least know what I want to get done and I can still be flexible, you know, when I get it done and whatnot. So highly recommend that. Definitely do that. And then. Yeah. But thank you guys for all the support recently. I think I'm at like, 50 subs. It's pretty sick. So I'm definitely going to be making more videos and I really enjoy making these type of videos and you guys seem to like them. So, yeah, peace out.
