An e-commerce entrepreneur who built a $115k-$130k monthly sales business breaks down why most dropshipping advice is wrong. He spent two years testing hundreds of products, kept a side job until profits were reliable, and now makes about $1,000 daily working four hours. Success requires deep knowledge of offers, pricing, and ads, not shortcuts.

Yo, what's going on? So I wanted to make this video just as a. Something that needs to be out there. To be honest. There's a lot of drop shipping and E commerce guys out there, gurus, whatever you want to call them, that give you false expectations and they just make it seem very easy, I'd say. And so I'm here as someone who's, you know, successful right now, who's scaling products right now for quarter four, who's gonna do hundreds of thousand in revenue. Hopefully we'll reach a million by the end of the year. And like, it's just. It's just not what people paint it to be. So it is. It's kind of a. It's kind of a what you would call it. It's weird because in a sense, it is easy, but in a sense, it's also not. So the knowledge that it takes to take advantage of a product, take advantage of a winning product and an opportunity, for example, it's very high. Like, you need to know offers, you need to know pricing, like how to test stuff on a B, test how to make a good ad, how to make a good landing page, all this, like, stuff. And it seems very simple. And a lot of gurus just say, hey, you can get like a paid theme. You can get, you know, you could just rip creatives and stuff like that, but at some point you could get, you know, maybe you can get a profitable thing going, but at some point you're gonna have to create. Create your own stuff to separate yourself from the competition and to create sort of like a moat, you know, like your own island with a product. Because if you just rip, then you can't expect to like, copy people and then do better than them. Like, that's. How does that make any sense? Just be honest, you know. So I've been doing E commerce probably almost two years now. And the first, you know, up until a few months ago, guys, I barely made any profit back in January. I made maybe 15k in profit after that. Lost money, kept losing money, kept losing money, became very demotivated, and then, you know, switched to Facebook, found a little bit of a winner. Kind of was really oversaturated, but, you know, maybe made a couple grand off that, nothing crazy. And then I just kept plugging away, guys, you know, it's super demotivating too. When you have a winner, you make 15k in a month. You're like, holy, I've cracked this. But then the, like, the next four months, you don't make any money. Like, imagine that imagine how demotivating that was. But I just, I kind of stuck through it and I switched to Facebook and I just kept testing products, guys. And August 1st I threw up a product and a really simple test and five roas on day one. And ever since that first month, I think August, I did 115,000 in sales this last month, 130 this month. I'm gonna hope for 200. We're on track for like 170 right now, but hopefully we get to 200 and people like I can like from my point of view, it wasn't that hard because I've been doing this for so long, like creating a product page and creating ads and stuff like that. It doesn't take me very long anymore just because I've had the reps and I put the reps in. But for a complete beginner, like you don't know anything about this. Like, you don't know how to set up a store. You don't know how to like do a shipping offer. You don't know like how to customize. Like check out, like there's so many little things that you don't know yet. So my advice for someone who either wants to get started or is starting an E commerce just from a realistic point of view is that don't expect it to take you like two months. Expect it to take. I told myself first, when I first started the first year, I told myself if I don't make, you know, I don't know if it was profit. I think was just sales. I think if I like don't make any sales within a year, then I'll stop. I made sales, they were unprofitable though. And then the second year I just, I knew it could happen. You know, January, I had a 75k month with a product made 15k and I was like, okay, this is, this is possible, I can do this. And just from then on I was like, okay, well if I know it's possible then I'm just not gonna stop. Like eventually I'll get there. And it took a lot, it took a lot of me. Like to this day, like I still watch YouTube, I still look for content out there. I look for things that I can learn and optimize. You always got to be learning, but it takes, it takes time. You can't watch a course on YouTube, like a three hour long course, free course or whatever. You call and expect to jump in and know everything or even be close to know everything because experience is the best teacher. And this is just me Being honest. So if you really want to, you know, really want to succeed at Ecom, I would expect it to take at least two years. Two years to make it big. Two years to see some really good pro or some really good profit. Other people, you know, they get lucky and stuff, and it happens earlier for them and that's okay. But for me, you know, I. I've tested so many, like maybe, maybe honestly 100 products. I've tested a lot. I tested like 30 before I even found a profitable, somewhat profitable one. It just takes time. It takes time. It takes small actions every day that build up and that eventually that compound effect kicks in, man. And then you're. You're starting to see real progress. And it's hard. It's not easy. E Comm. Is very difficult. I personally lift. I started lifting maybe three years ago, and lifting was way easier than E Comm. Because lifting after a month or two weeks, three weeks, you see results. And those results are very encouraging. And the results don't just go away. But E Comm, there's so many different factors that come in. There's so many different factors that you might not see results for a year, you might not see results for six months. And it's hard to keep pushing on and keep trying to learn and keep testing different things when you just don't see any results. It's very, very difficult. So mentally it's very hard. But what I suggest, and this is what I did, get a job, get a. It doesn't have to be 9 to 5, but it could be like a little. Like, I managed a pizza place, right? I was manager at a pizza place and I worked at Chipotle. Not the same time, two different times, you know, time periods, but I did that. And then I did Ecom on the side. So I had money coming in. I wasn't worried about paying rent and stuff. And then once I made that 15 grand, I quit my job. And I put a lot of pressure on myself, to be honest. A lot of pressure. And it worked out for me, you know, that pressure pushed me to succeed. And because I knew it was now, I didn't have that limiting belief of it's not possible, like, I can't do this. It's just a fairy tale dream. I knew it could happen. I knew I could do it. So I went all in. And it's really paying off. And I'm not anywhere close to where I want to be, guys. Right now. I make at least a thousand dollars a day, which it's obviously really good. Money. But. But there's guys doing way more than that, and I want to do way more than that. I'll just be honest because I always want to be improving. So this is kind of just like a raw little rant. Ecom is not easy where I am right now. It's a lot easier for me just because I've been doing it for so long. Like, things become easier the more you do them. That's just a basic law. I feel like I have different challenges now. I have different obstacles to overcome. But throwing up a product test, for me, it's. It's not that hard. I get a sale usually every product test, whether it's profitable or not. That's. That's a different. A different thing. But I always get, like, a sale, usually just because I know how to create a good offer and landing page, website ads and branding, and just like, all those little things that happen. So, yeah. So if you are starting an E Comm, take it day by day, don't get these false expectations and then let yourself down. Understand that it's, you know, it's a very good thing to get into once you're doing it. Like, I work maybe four hours a day right now, and I make, you know, a thousand dollars a day. So, like, that could seem easy. But it took me so much trial and error, so much, you know, self discipline, and so much perseverance. There's so many times I wanted to quit, so many times I didn't want to try. I was like, this product sucks. And like, I remember the. This product. I threw up. I. I was doubting it while I threw it up, and I was like, for some reason, there's a point every time I've, like, made profit or had, like, a little winning product, I always doubt it. Like, I've noticed that. I always have the stuff that I'm like, oh, it's not gonna work. And I'm like, now I'm starting to realize, like, usually when that happens, it actually turns out to be good. So just do it anyway. So, yeah, this is just a little raw rant, you know. If you have any questions, please, you can either comment them. I'll drop my Twitter down below. I'm in Rochester, New York, if anyone's over there, you know, hit me up. Yeah, just to, like, I'll put up some screenshots and stuff of, you know, what I'm doing right now. But. But, yeah, also, guys trust God. I leaned on God and I prayed to God so much during this last year especially. And he's completely blessed me. So thank you guys for watching and peace out.
