In this talk, a Performia representative explains the company’s core purpose: to identify and empower the most productive individuals whose contributions truly benefit society. The speaker critiques conventional hiring practices that prioritize superficial indicators such as money, appearance, and résumé polish, arguing that these metrics often overlook genuinely valuable workers. By leveraging Performia’s approach, organizations can locate and retain these high‑impact talent pools, thereby enhancing their service to people. The speaker also connects this mission to a broader societal view, likening the removal of productive leaders to the scenario depicted in Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged, and emphasizes the importance of such leaders for societal stability. Finally, the talk highlights Performia’s ambition to expand its model across the Asia‑Pacific region, positioning the platform as a catalyst for better hiring and, ultimately, a better world.

So it's always a good question, like, why? You know, why do we do what we do at Performia? And there's always the obvious answer. It's like, you know, we have a niche market, we have a great product, we can make a lot of money, we can help a lot of people. But the real thing is that we can help a lot of people. You know, I think that one thing that continually gets diluted in our— in the business community and in the community at large is the ability to actually assess who is the most valuable to society. And so we have all these different measurements that we use in our daily life and in our professional life. And, you know, probably one of the key measurements is money. You know, how much money does someone have? How much money does someone contribute? How much money, money, money. One of the other things that we can look at too is the sort of car someone drives, how they dress. You know, how they communicate. You know, they sound competent, professional. You know, we can see how they deal with others. We can look at how their family and their friends look around them. And, you know, all of these things are really, you know, they're important and nice indicators, but when it comes to hiring, it's like what I've seen in my 22 years of being in business for myself is that so often the actual really valuable people are passed over because these are the only things we really look at. And so this is what I love so much about Performia and why I'm part of it and why I want to really pushing it through the whole of the Asia-Pacific region is because what we're doing is we're empowering the truly productive people. And if you look at every organization on this planet, it should be there because it provides a service to make people's lives better. If it's not doing that, then you have to question why is it there. And so when someone works in an organization, the better they do their job, the more people they're helping improve their lives. But unfortunately, most of the hiring, traditional hiring systems really just look at a person's appearance and how good their resume is, and quite often, if not nearly all the time, can pass over the most productive people, the people that really deserve to be rewarded. The people that really deserve to have that job. And also the organization deserves to be able to find them. Because the business owners and the senior executives, these are the true generals and captains of our society. You remove governments, you know, the society can go on. Remove the captains of industries and those guys that are holding major organizations together, society crashes. You know, I invite you to read an amazing speculative fiction on this called Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. Very cool book which actually puts there like you remove the captains of industry, look what happens to society. And so we at Performia, we identify the productive people so that you can get those into your organization. And you as a productive person is running a large organization or running a division of an organization or have gone out and brazenly taken on your own business, you now can find those productive people to help you have a better life and then help your organization help more people. And this is what excites me about Performio, and this is why we're really pushing to get it out there as much as possible.
