8 Faulty Beliefs

Nicholas Cole identifies eight misconceptions that keep writers from scaling their business and earning more. He breaks down the limiting beliefs holding them back and explains how to move past them.
I charge six grand per hour, but I'm going to give you the next 60 seconds for free. And if you don't know who I am, My name is Nicholas Cole. I run the largest training program for ghostwriters on the Internet, and there are eight faulty beliefs that you need to break before you can start making more money as a writer. The first one is, nobody can afford my services. No, the two people you talked to this month can't afford your services. I promise there are people out there who are more than willing to pay a premium. Second, I need more clients. No, you don't. Everyone thinks I need more clients. I need to scale. No, no, you need to figure out how to get the clients you already have to pay you more money. Third, I'll charge more when I'm more experienced. Okay, Define for me what more experienced means. Make it tangible. At what point, how many clients, how much money have you made? Whenever I ask people to define this, they can't, which means it's really just a way of procrastinating and avoiding the hard work. 4. My niche got saturated. It's time to pivot. I promise your niche didn't get saturated. What happened is you ran into a skill gap that you don't know how to solve yet. You. And so instead of solving it, you go, oh, I'm going to try and do something different, where you will inevitably run into the same problem. Number five, I need to hire someone. No, you don't. Until you're doing 15, 20 grand a month, you don't need to hire anybody. Six. If I share free value, the client won't pay me. No, it's the opposite. The more that you share for free, the more that they are going to trust you, the more that they're going to want to work with you, and the more they're going to pay you. Number seven, I need to build an audience. No, you don't. You don't need an audience. You don't need a newsletter. You don't need a podcast. You don't need a YouTube channel. You need any of those things. What you need is to get really good at cold outreach and free consulting. And number eight, I'm not making progress, but I don't want to do anything different. I don't want help. I can figure it out myself, okay? But insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result.
