And that's really not how it works. How it works is you are consistently delivering something that's valuable to people and then they follow you as a result. Just because you have a big number of followers doesn't mean that they're the right kind of followers. Doesn't mean that they're the people most likely to then go buy a product or service, right? So if you start by going, I just want want to build an audience. Well, if you build an audience around one thing and then you go and launch a product or service or business that is unrelated to that, those people aren't going to convert. So if you're just out here making memes, getting half a million followers, and then you're like, and here I'm starting a ghostwriting company, there's going to be a mismatch.
