This is a YouTube video titled "Bodybuilding is a metaphor for life" containing a monologue or talk where a single speaker shares a personal story about starting bodybuilding in high school due to being skinny and undiagnosed with celiac disease, using bodybuilding as a metaphor for life and confidence building. The content is reflective and motivational in nature.
I think a good metaphor is like, bodybuilding, you know, why do most. Why do most people start bodybuilding? Well, when I was, you know, a senior in high school, and I didn't know I had celiac disease, I was undiagnosed. I was super skinny. I didn't have a pound of muscle on my body. It was just skin and bones. And why did I want to get into bodybuilding or why did I want to just go to the gym? Would have been great to have a girlfriend, you know? Would have been great to feel like you were getting attention or something, build confidence. So I understand that in, in the beginning, you sort of need to dangle the shiny objects to get someone.
