Easiest Way To Upgrade Your Writing

Something I tell beginner writers all the time is that the easiest upgrade you can make to your writing isn't actually the writing, it's the formatting. So this is a big idea I cover in my book the Art and Business of Online Writing. And the whole idea is that you could take the same exact content, but if it's just giant walls of text, no one's going to read it. That's not how we read in the digital age. But if you take that same content and you implement a couple of these formatting techniques, all of a sudden the reader starts sliding down the page. What are some of those formatting techniques? Using subheads, using bulleted lists, turning things into numbered, for example, alternating between short sentences and long sentences. All of these little upgrades make it very easy for the reader to fall into your writing.
