I get this question all the time. What is the difference between ghostwriting and copywriting? So copywriting is typically when you're writing on behalf of a company or a brand, and you're writing things like sales letters or website copy. Ghostwriting is usually when you're writing on behalf of an individual, a person. It might be the founder or a CEO, or someone on the executive team. Ghostwriting is typically more educational. It's more thought leadership. So a lot of what you're writing is intended to teach people something, not necessarily sell them something. I've made millions of dollars doing both. In opinion, I think the skill of ghostwriting is not only more valuable or lucrative, but it's actually more beneficial to the customer. I'm a firm believer that every writer should study and get into ghostwriting.
