Whenever I am choosing between hiring two people, which person am I going to hire? The person who's more talented on paper but knows not very much about my business, or someone who maybe is like more of the underdog but is obsessed with what we're building and our business? I'm going to hire that second person every single time. And the reason is because people want to hire people that are thinking about their business as much as the founder is. I think about my business quite literally 15 hours a day from the moment I wake up to the moment I go to sleep. I'm thinking about it. And so when someone comes to me and says, I've been thinking a lot about your business, that is like the goal Nicolas Cole, "I have found someone who really cares." Amazing statement.
