When you interview multiple candidates, patterns emerge that reveal skills and experiences you'd miss with just one or two people. The more conversations you have, the clearer it becomes what actually matters for the role.
Not until you interview, like, you know, 5, 10, 20 people that then you can start getting into the nuances of, you know, okay, well, yeah, you all maybe played the same role, but this person over here specifically played that role between these two revenue ranges. Or while they were doing that, they. They built this other system that we didn't even know to ask for. But now that you say it, oh, it'd be cool if you built that for us. You know, it's that pattern. There's. There's a pattern recognition aspect to hiring that you just can't. There's no way to get around it.
