This is a YouTube video titled "How free work makes you $$$" containing a discussion between two speakers about the value and exponential return on investment of doing free work to build networks and opportunities. The conversation focuses on the benefits of free work compared to paid work in professional growth and connections.
And the reason I still make that decision is because people don't realize that the ROI on free work is exponential, whereas the ROI on paid work is not exponential. It's just fixed. It's like, hey, I'll pay you five grand. But I've done so much free work for people over the years that that's why my network is the way that it is. Because people go, well, I remember when you helped me write my commencement speech, so what do you need? Trying to raise money. Here's 10 people you're trying to do this. Here's the right person to talk to. You have a question about that? You should go talk to that person, mate.
It's game changing advice. Like the ROI on free work.
