This is a YouTube video titled "The difference between copywriting & ghostwriting" containing a monologue or presentation explaining the distinctions between copywriting and ghostwriting, emphasizing the importance of education in sales. The content was created in February 2025 and focuses on marketing and writing strategies.
What's the difference between copywriting and ghostwriting? Here's an easy way of thinking about it. Copywriting is where you write things that sell, and ghostwriting is where you write things that educate. Now, here's the irony. Most business owners think, oh, well, then I need a copywriter because I want to make more money. I want to write things that sell people. But do you know what the primary bottleneck is that's keeping people from becoming customers? It's not your ability to sell them, it's your ability to educate them. The vast majority of customers don't buy because they don't know what problem you're helping them sol solve. They don't know the benefits of the thing that you're offering them. They don't know the positive outcomes that using your thing, your service, buying your product leads to. Right? They don't know it's actually not about selling people, it's about educating them. Because the person can't care about the solution, AKA your product or service, until they're first educated on the problem. And so that is why ghostwriters typically make more money than copywriters. Because ghostwriters understand that before we can even have a sales conversation, we have to first educate the prospect.
