Nicolas Cole says transcription software is the most underrated tech of the past five years. His ghostwriting agency used to pay thousands monthly for transcription services. Now you can record a call, transcribe it with AI, feed it to Claude for a summary, and have publishable content in minutes.
I think one of the most underrated technologies that has happened in the past 5 years has been transcription software. When I was running my ghostwriting agency 10 years ago, I used to have to pay thousands of dollars every month to get our client calls transcribed from like a transcription service. Now you could literally just put your phone nearby and record the whole thing. And then at the end, you take the recording and most of these AI platforms will transcribe the entire thing for you in real time. And then you could take the transcription and upload it to Claude and just say, hey Claude, summarize for me what are the things that I taught today? You already creating all the content, just record it.
