The reason I fell into ghostwriting thought leadership articles is because I was writing articles on Quora. I didn't have a gazillion followers. I had like 7,000 followers on Quora, but I was getting really good at writing 800-word-ish articles on Quora. And so when I started reaching out to ghostwriting clients and they were like, "How do I know that this is going to work?" I would pull up my Quora profile and I would go, "Well, I'm 20 years younger than you. I have achieved one one-thousandth what you have. I am nowhere near as smart or accomplished as you. And look, when I write articles on Quora, I'm getting 100,000 views. Don't you think that that would probably perform even better if it was actually content from someone who had achieved things? I was like 26 years old. I hadn't done shit, but I was good at writing. And so this is the thing to understand is your single greatest case study is yourself and you should be practicing on yourself. It's like whenever someone says, I feel like an imposter, I don't have the confidence to deliver on the thing that I'm selling the person. Yeah, I wouldn't have the confidence either if I wasn't doing it. How do you build confidence? You do it yourself.
