This Is The Only Guaranteed Path To Failure #shorts

Nicolas Cole argues that pursuing multiple projects at once guarantees failure. Every choice has trade-offs, and spreading yourself thin across priorities makes all of them suffer. Pick one outcome, commit to it, and say no to everything else.

A path to guaranteed failure is trying to build everything at once. You are guaranteed to fail 100%. This is the path to failure is I try and build everything. And so all roads lead back to what is the thing that you want to see the most success with the fastest? And this is where you have to build the skill of understanding that there will always be a trade-off. I think where people go wrong is they try to convince themselves that they can do everything. They think, I can pursue all of these things and I won't have to give anything up. And in reality, what ends up happening is everything suffers. Offers. You end up giving up everything by choosing to do that. All choices come with some element of sacrifice. And so a pattern I notice a lot with people in PGA is people will say, my priority, I really want to build my ghostwriting business, or I really want to build my ghostwriting as a side hustle. I really want to have 2 consistent clients paying me 3 or 4 grand a month. They set some sort of very specific goal and I go, great, that's the priority? They go, that's the priority. I go, okay, so you should make decisions that make that priority happen faster. Well, you would do outreach and you would also create that attracts the exact type of person that you want to work with. That would make your goal happen faster. The problem is that then the person goes, "Oh, I said this is the priority, but actually I have these other priorities that I also want to have happen. And my personal brand, I don't understand how to serve them all." And that's where you run into issues, is you said that this thing was the thing you wanted to achieve. So you can't say this is the priority, but wait, it's actually not. I have 5 other priorities. You have to say, this is the priority, and I am willing to say no to these 5 other things so that I can achieve this thing.
