A very underrated tactic before or after you send an outreach message: comment on one of their recent posts. Send the outreach message and then go to their last post and go, "Hey, this was awesome. By the way, I sent you a DM. Just want to make sure you saw it." Because now you're doubling the likelihood that they'll see it again.
