This is a YouTube video titled "What if the internet never existed?" containing a monologue or talk by a single speaker discussing a creative approach to social interaction and storytelling in a world without social media, focusing on hosting salons for short story readings and development.
Social media has never existed. What's your game plan? First thing I'm doing, I'm hosting salons at my house or the local pub down the street. I'm inviting everyone who is even remotely creative and I'm going to force everyone to read some sort of short story out loud. The short story has to be 30 seconds or less, and this would force people to start thinking in short form, atomic form, and then whoever has the best 32nd short story, we would then talk about how to expand that into a three minute short story, a 30 minute short story into ultimately a novel.
