A talk about why people don't write online: self-doubt, fear of criticism, unclear payoff. The speaker mentions ship 30 for 30, a program designed to get beginners past these blocks and actually publishing.
What keeps most people from writing on the Internet. Three things. First is lack of self belief. They just don't think they can. Second is fear of criticism. They're afraid of putting themselves out there. They don't know what people are going to think of them. And then third is uncertainty over the outcome. So they don't really know what they want out of writing. So they don't even give themselves the chance to go on the journey and figure it out and see what unfolds. And these are all problems that I'm intimately familiar with because this is what our beginner program ship 30 for 30 helps people solve. We've helped over 10,000 people start writing on the Internet Internet and over and over and over again this is what everyone is afraid of or uncertain about. In the beginning they start writing and then 30 days later they go, wow, life changing experience. Never would have thought of myself as a writer.
