Why you should give your work for free

A talk on why giving away free work builds trust and drives sales. The speaker draws on personal sales experience to show how providing value upfront makes customers more likely to buy.
Everyone thinks if I give away things for free, they're not going to want to buy. Everyone makes this mistake and it is always the opposite. I've sold over $5 million worth of ghostwriting services. I've sold over $10 million worth of digital products. I can tell you unequivocally, the more you give away for free, the more the person wants to buy from you because they trust you. The less you give away for free, the harder it is to get people to buy from you. And again, this doesn't need to be a well now I have to explain everything in depth. This is going to be a 30,000 word email. All you have to do is just very high level. These are the things I would do. If you want to go figure on your own, by all means, let me just point you in the right direction. What does that do? It's like a no sell sell. I'm not going to sell you, I'm just going to tell you. And then as a result the customer goes, well thanks for telling me. Could you tell me more things? Oh well then I should probably go buy your product.
