You say you want it, but you actually don't.

This is a YouTube video titled "You say you want it, but you actually don't." featuring Nicolas Cole delivering a motivational monologue recorded in early 2025. In this solo talk, Nicolas challenges viewers to stop procrastinating and take action toward their goals, emphasizing the difference between wanting success and actually doing the work required to achieve it.
Yeah. You say you want it, but you don't. You know, if you wanted it as much as you say you want it, you would be doing it. You would have done it. So you say you want it, but you don't. It's really easy to say that you want it. We all love saying that we want it, right? I want success. I want money. I want this positive outcome. I want to be able to travel. I want to be able to do whatever I want. That's the easy part. You say you want it, but you actually don't because all of those things are possible. It just requires you to actually do the thing. And instead of doing the thing, you're probably watching another video like this right now. And if you are, I would strongly encourage you to stop watching this right now and go do the thing that you know that you need to do in order to get the thing that you want. Okay? You say you want it. If you want it so badly, why don't you go do it? Let me tell you what doing it looks like, okay? I've been meaning to shave for, like, at least a week now, and I keep forgetting. You know why I keep forgetting? Because I'm too busy doing the thing. I would love to learn how to play pickleball. Everyone's talking about pickleball now. You know why I haven't played pickleball? Because I'm too busy doing the thing. I would love to take more vacations. I finally have the money now. I can finally afford to travel. Couldn't afford to travel eight years ago, six years ago. You know why I don't take vacations all the time? Because I'm too busy doing the thing. It takes way more work than people realize in order to accomplish the goal that they have for themselves. And instead of doing the thing, they talk about doing the thing. They tell their friends about how they're going to do the thing. They watch videos like this with the person saying to them, hey, you should probably do the thing. And they do everything except the thing. And so, once again, here I am, another person on YouTube making a video about how important it is for you to do the thing. And you're watching this video about how to do the thing. And at the same exact time, you're productively not doing the thing. And so I just want you to sit with that because you should probably go do the thing.
