A short YouTube interview featuring Niraj (Niraj Naik) describing his idea 'Asda Healthy Shopping Lists'—a concept born from creating condition-specific shopping lists for patients and proposed for use by a supermarket. A second speaker gives a personal testimonial about how entering an entrepreneurs competition transformed their role from store work to a head-office position, encouraging others to submit ideas.
Hi, my name is Neeraj, and my idea is Asda's Healthy Shopping Lists. And this idea grew from a passion I had for helping my patients be more informed when they were making purchases, when they went shopping. And the way I did this was by writing out a little shopping list for them based on their conditions. And I found that this had some amazing results. And I kind of had an idea of turning that into a concept that a supermarket could use.
Well, my life's completely transformed over the last couple of months. I went from working in the store to now working in the head office with an amazing bunch of people. Really inspirational. And I'm learning loads every day. And I urge anyone who's got an idea to share it. Use things like the Entrepreneurs competition as a way to do that, because you never know. You could get picked up and your dreams could become a reality like mine have. And I feel privileged every day working for a company that actually recognizes.
Entrepreneurial.
Talent and spirit and new ideas and encourages them and helps.
