You find yourself feeling sluggish or unable to concentrate during the day, check which nostril is open by putting your finger lightly under each one and breathing in and out slowly. If you find that the left one is more active than the right, then put your right hand under your left armpit, squeeze a bit, push the pressure up and you'll notice that the right nostril opens up very quickly. You can even close this nostril, shut the left nostril, breathe in and out of your right one. What you'll find then is you're more focused and more able to take action, more awake. But let's say you want to do the opposite. Maybe you want to be more creative, more relaxed. Then just do the opposite. Put your left hand under your right armpit, squeeze and you can also shut this nostril and breathe in and out of this nostril. What you want to remember though is a golden rule to this. Actually your nostrils automatically switch every 90 minutes or so.
