Niraj Naik explains how to quiet the mind by focusing on a single sound or piece of music. Internal chatter triggers your sympathetic nervous system, causing tension, reduced blood flow, and chronic stress. Pick one sensory input and let everything else fall away.

One of the easiest ways to meditate I found is this. It's the art of tuning into a single source of sensory input to create a single point of attention. The idea is to quieten the verbal speaking part of the mind. This is the voice in your head that judges and worries and debates. It's the monkey mind, the brain's version of the ego. And every single word of verbalization in your thoughts creates a sympathetic nervous system reaction that creates tension in your body. And you'll notice this if you have a habit of grinding your teeth. And if your mind is busy and full of loud thoughts, you'll become stiff and rigid. This contraction actually stops you from taking action, reduces blood flow to your organs and your muscles and then can lead to stress and disease. So here's what you're going to do. Find a piece of music or simply play an atmospheric tone or sound. You can also use the sound in your present environment.
