WIM HOF METHOD EXPOSED: Science, Man & Mystery Of The Wim Hof Method

Wim Hof, the Iceman, explains his method's three pillars: breathwork, cold exposure, and focused mindset. He claims it can modulate your nervous system, boost adrenaline on demand, improve sleep, and reduce inflammation. A Radboud University study backs the approach.

Hi, this is Neeraj, the renegade pharmacist. And welcome to my first ever podcast. Now today's a really, really special day. Something I've been putting off for a long time, mainly out of procrastination and a bit of fear as to what people would think about my ideas and beliefs. Because it's been such a hard battle trying to get my message accepted by the wider medical establishment community. And especially when my coke infographic went mega viral around the Internet. I had my fair share of haters and people who doubted what I was saying and people who even gave me threats, you know, which didn't really make me feel comfortable. And it kind of gave me a bit of a paralysis in terms of taking action to get my message out there. And it was only until recently that I actually had my vision clarified. And that's when I met this incredible guy called Wim Hof, who really, really strengthened my belief and message and.
Gave me an even deeper purpose in what I want to do with the renegade pharmacist and where I want to go with it and my own mission in my own life.
Because for those of you who know me already, you know that I suffered from a chronic illness several years ago, which actually left me housebound for over 10 months. And I was told by conventional health care that I would be on medication for the rest of my life and that I may even have to have my colon removed if this new drug that they wanted to trial on me didn't work. And you know, you can imagine when I was facing that scenario, I wasn't very pleased. It put me into actually serious state of depression. I couldn't leave their house. And eventually I was kind of rescued, taken in by a close friend of our family called Swamiyam Kananda, who taught me a series of very simple techniques that anyone can do that actually got me back to full fitness pretty quick. And I was so blown away by them that I was just really excited to share them with as many people as I could. And that's why I went on the mission of creating the renegade pharmacist and getting my own system of self healing out there to more people. And then I came across a lot of skepticism. And I found that I needed now validation from science and I needed my stuff backed up by science. And doing that is not an easy task. I mean, you either need to have serious deep pockets or you need to grab the attention of the medical community in a very profound way. And that's when I came across this incredible guy, Wim Hof. Because he had done just that for many years. He had also battled with trying to get his own method for helping people become healthier, stronger and happier. He actually came across a serious battle getting that accepted and that motivated him to break some world records, one of them being climbing up Everest in his shorts. And obviously that gained quite a lot of attention for him and then also running a marathon in the desert. And that actually led him to have a whole kind of journey of being on documentaries and interviews and TV shows and. And he was featured in, in his own documentary by Vice, which are an amazing documentary film company that I really urge you to check out if you want to learn about cool stuff that's going on in the world and more positive stuff as well, like Whim. And in this documentary, it showed how Whim had managed to, to literally control his physiology, his immune system, to create like superhuman levels of strength and to break all these world records. But not only that, he also was able to suppress his immune system when injected with an endotoxin with a bacteria, which should normally give you flu like symptoms. And then because this baffled the medical community so much, Wimp was deemed a freak show. But Wim was, I no, look, I'm not a freak. I can actually train other people this as well. So he set about doing that. And then under scientific study again, in a controlled experiment, he yet again proved that actually his method was something that was now scalable. And that was what just blew me away because I was like, now there's somebody who has done all these incredible things already to draw the attention of the media in a very cool way, to get science to back up his claims and to validate everything that he does from now on. Which has now led him on an even more of an incredible journey of training with very influential people In Hollywood, celebrities, VCs, entrepreneurs, CEOs, and, and now me. And recently I actually.
Went over to meet with Wim and train with Wim, because his son had actually.
Read my infographic and he was really impressed by it. And I came up with an idea because I really wanted to connect with Wim to do an infographic about what happens one hour after doing the WIM HOF method. And when I actually learned the technique, I actually discovered he actually had similar breathing techniques to what I had already been doing. So this really, really kind of gave me a lot of confidence in my own approach. But I wanted to learn even deeper and learn from the man himself. So that's what I did. And I went over with my crew, we did an Interview that's all about what happens one hour after doing Wim Hof Method. But that's not where it ends, because I discovered something else about Wim that is really remarkable too, and that's the fact that he's an incredible musician and singer. And he was actually jamming on his guitar while we were there, and I heard some lyrics come out that really caught my attention. And we actually decided then and there, because we had like, like a mobile studio to record a track with Whim and to produce it. And that led us to actually then kind of hanging out even more. I ended up staying in Amsterdam for a long time, hanging out with Wim at his retreat. And we. We actually produced even more music because music is a major, major passion of mine. It's a big part of my own process. And I was really kind of glad that Wim also was really into music and it was a big part of his life, because it also clarified in my mind how powerful music is as a form of therapy, a form of creativity, bringing people together.
Relieving stress, having some entertainment, but also at the same time helping you go into really deep states of mind. And some of the music that we produce based on kind of ancient ritual, shamanic music, native Indian music, Indian chants, and. And we combine some kind of like modern instruments, like hang drum with. With like native Indian drums and modern synths and production to create like a soundtrack and to the Wim Hof Method. And then we also created a theme tune which is like a fun tune, which has now become like the Wim Hof song, which we then want to take on tour as a band. So some really incredible things happened just a result of this one meeting. I had my vision completely clarified. I know exactly where I want to go now. I've now got another incredible partner on the same mission with Wim Hof. And now we want to go forward with our message and take it to as many people as possible. I'm fully supporting the Wim Hof Method as well, totally advocate it as the renegade pharmacist. And I'm committed to getting that technique to as many people as possible too, through this podcast and other places. And I would like to invite you two also join me on this mission, be a part of it, help us on the cause, follow us, because I'm going to be doing a lot more podcasts from the journey that we're going to be creating and the adventures we're going to be going on together. Also, I'm going to be interviewing a lot of experts around the world, scientists who have backed up alternative ideas and beliefs, people who are shaking conventional healthcare, other renegade farms, pharmacists and doctors, and people who have had incredible success stories with healing themselves and others. And you're going to discover right now how simple it actually is to reach incredible states of health, wellness and happiness as simply as taking a breath.
So until now, all I've seen of Wim is on film, either in the documentary or in his online course. Now I'm actually going to get to train with Wynn directly in person. Can't wait. Let's do it.
Crazy like a monkey just being funky. I'm being okay. Last week, if you look around, you are a little bit spiritual. You know, we're like into a soul search. Then you see a lot of things.
Who are not right, like too much misery, too much disease, too much depression. I don't want to be part of that. I want to be happy, strong and healthy.
Life is amazing, but if you lose the power over life, then it's horrible. And for those who experience horrific situations right now, we found the solution.
This is it.
And this is it. This is the mission and this is the way we get into the world.
We do it together.
Yes, sir.
We'll do it effectively all together.
Hey, this is Neeraj and today I'm here with my good friend Wim.
Yes, sir.
In Amsterdam at his retreat. And I'm so excited to be here, man. Thanks for having us here.
Thanks for coming, man.
Absolute honor. Because many of you who are know me already, I actually suffered from a chronic illness several years ago and I learned some special techniques that helped me recover naturally without medication. And it was a real hard struggle for me to get this out to other people, to make people believe in this. You know, people said, oh, you know, it may be just a one off for you. And it was when I saw Wim's actual documentary online that just blew my mind. I was like, actually is somebody who's been proven under scientific study to be able to control his own physiology. So I really wanted to hook up with Wim and just discuss your method because I think this needs to be out to more people. It needs scientists like myself, doctors, the medical community behind this and supporting this because I think it's a powerful tool. Everyone has a natural technique that can self empower people and make people stronger and freer. William, let's discuss this method, man.
Yes, yes, indeed. And I love to, I love to. It is so simple, this method and yes, it is scientifically endorsed. And I went with A group of people to 18 people. And they had no prior experience in the cold. And I trained them in four days to resist very low temperatures in shorts in the snow. Minus 10 Celsius going up a mountain for hours. And then.
Decreased the temperature to -17, -20, -27 on the top. And they were. We did the Harlem shake on top after hours in the cold, in shorts.
Amazing.
Then I knew these guys. We dance, you know.
Yeah.
The arm shape, doing funny things, man. Because we found out we have so much power going on, man. It's like drugs, natural drugs. So then I knew for certain these guys in a couple of days in the hospital will be able to resist a bacterious reaction on the immune system, making people very ill. Uncontrollable shivering, headaches, overall miserable feeling, misery and having no control. Like.
It'S a control experiment. But all these guys had within 15 minutes everything under control. The bacteria had no chance because they went into their natural power. And that's this conversation that was the study about. And this conversation wants to bring it to you.
Yes.
And it is too damn simple. I'm sorry, Damn. And things. But it's too simple not to do this. It brings in the connection with the endocrine systems, the immune systems, the vascular systems, makes you able to become powerful. Because we have proven to produce more adrenaline lying in bed than somebody in fear the first time going into a bumby jump. You understand? Yes. Lying in bed, more adrenaline, stress hormone.
So tell me about this producing adrenaline. Because it's not like it's the same kind of fear response as somebody jumping off a mountain or something like that or a bunch of jumps.
This is a controlled.
Controlled stress response.
Exactly. It is completely under control. And because you're lying in bed, how much more control do you. There is no dangerous situation whatsoever. And you produce more adrenaline than somebody when a rhinoceros is coming at you or a car or any danger coming to you. A snake or daily stress maybe too, you know, very dangerous situation. No, these people control.
Their stress hormone release. That's the endocrine system, hormonal system within us. So much more than somebody in fear for the first time going into a bungee jump.
Wow.
That means controlled stress hormone works like medicine. It works like strengthening yourself for any confrontation what could be very hard or taking a lot of power of you. This is the way I always did my challenges. Going up Mount Everest in shores, or swimming underneath a big layer of ice for 50 meters, 60 meters, etc. Or hanging by one finger in the air. You don't need to do that to have this contact with the endocrine system, the hormonal system. And it only takes a few steps to get there.
Wow.
So.
So we'll talk about these steps in a bit. But, yes, first you want to find out how did you come into knowledge of this technique.
If you. If you look around, you are a little bit spiritual. You know, we're like into a soul search. Then you see a lot of things.
Who are not going right, like too much misery, too much disease, too much, too much depression. I don't want to be part of that. I want to be happy, strong and healthy. And I was looking into so many books, so many religious books, so many philosophical books, did yoga, did kung fu, did karate, did Buddhism, Sufism, all kinds of esoteric disciplines. But they could not really fill this gap within me, the depth of my own physiology, the way I would be able to control what makes me happy, strong and healthy. So one day, because every seeker becomes a finder.
I felt attracted to cold water once in the winter time, right? A thin layer of ice underwater. I went in and I knew from inside, this is it.
We'll talk about why cold water is important in a few moments. But. So that was it. It was a calling, an inner calling to nature.
Yes, sir.
That brought you to it.
Yes.
And what was the real desire? Was there a trigger? Were you trying to escape some problem that you had? Were you suffering yourself with any kind of condition?
I think when I was born, I'm one of the twins, but I never knew there was a twin to be born. So I was born too late. And I was born in front of the operation room because I was too deep inside. And my mother was very religious, right? And she was like. I was too long in the home. I almost suffocated.
Yeah.
And.
At the same moment, she was very much in fear they were going to cut in her to get me out. So she was praying while they pushed her back to the operation room in the cold hole. I was born while she was praying. Oh, God, let this child live. I make him a missionary. That's what she said. A very naive religious person, very strong. So I was born with a trauma. Survival. I had to survive. I didn't know why, because a baby has no content in the mind yet. But later on, I always had this drive. There is more, there is more, and it's inside. And when I touched the cold water, it was like the cold oar. And I changed the pattern of my breathing because of the cold. Make Me able just in a couple of months to stay like five to seven minutes under, under, underneath the water in winter time. I did it all the time because if you change the way you breathe, you are able to do so much more. But this is not about that. This is the cause, my trigger to become a seeker later on in my life. And I think everybody has a certain trigger that makes him do things because of his psychic past. That's why we do things, because we want to have peace. We want to have control over that where we have no control. And.
This is my trigger. So from there I felt so good. I felt connection with my old trauma and. But then at the same time I began to be able to control and master my body and stay in cold water and feel, feel it like being soft. I mean, so much more physiological power we have inside. And I found it out by go into nature, which is the cold, cold is nature. And from there I could stay like all the night in shorts outside in wintertime, for example.
You got to be strong to be able to do that. You gotta learn to control the hormonal system, the adrenaline and endorphins and all these hormones and you gotta. And you learn to tap into the. The depth of the immune systems the way nature has built us to be. We alienated from nature so we think we can control nature outside. We don't control nature inside anymore because we have no stimulation. And that's what I've learned to stimulate the body as a mammal is being stimulated and makes you able to control deeper physiological mechanisms as the endocrine system and the immune systems. And now I'm so happy to pass this on because we cut it down to very simple techniques.
Enabling people by using these simple techniques to awaken their internal physiology into the depths of.
Fantastic.
I think it's a. You know, I always say love is not something abstract. What do you like for your child? For your friends and girlfriends and all the beings that's strength, happiness and health.
So that brings me to what is your mission? Why are you doing this? Why are you bringing this WIM HOF method to the world? Why not keep it just for yourself?
Exactly, exactly. I think fear, fear is the one that blocks people of going into the depth of their physiology and losing trust within. With losing trust, you cannot let go. If you do not let go, you are not in interaction with the nature anymore. And then the wonder of nature you are not experiencing. Thus you, you, you lose. You, you lose the wonder of life, you lose the love for life. Because what you do not sense, you do not experience. And you become depressed and the fear makes you. I want to go for my security. And they tell me to do this and this and this and that. It narrows, it narrows your consciousness. Your energy doesn't flow like it's saying.
We'Re suffering from a lot of fear.
In the world right now.
And what your mission is. You're trying to help people protect themselves against the harmful effects of this.
Exactly. The fear is what has been told us and now look at who is telling us. Those are the systems. And the systems are built up to produce power, economics, more power, more economics. There are persons who earn 2,000 times more than somebody else. They shit the same, they experience happiness the same. So this system is built on.
Having more economics and to maintain the economics. And we are listening and we are built by the schooling system to get into, to fit into that system. Hey.
No, the system is there for me to become happy, strong and healthy. So we take away old conditioning built up by hundreds of years of systemized, systemized economics. And we follow the economics and yeah, are we happy? Are we strong? Are we healthy? Ask yourself and see, we live in these beautiful countries. England, Holland, Germany, all, you know, a very great infrastructure. It's all there. Yeah, we got so much money and we got all these things, but so many people suffer from depression, from rheumatism, cancer, all these things, you know. And is that development now? That's a system taking us into an elevated energetic, having to do this, that and that stress hormone. And we have no control of this stress hormone.
Yeah.
So now we bring in some techniques which will bring back the trust within and take away the fear. We are able to become happy, strong and healthy anytime.
Wow.
And the rest is history, you know, the confusion, etc.
So most people who've watched this interview obviously may have seen some of the footage of Wind doing some miraculous things already, you know, climbing up Mount Everest in his underpants and going for a desert. And you know, you've done some remarkable stuff. So you've proven that you have got this incredible control over physiology. Right. So like, let's go deeper into who you are as a person.
Yeah.
So, because I don't want to go into all these great feats that you've done. No, it's already out there. Let's go deeper into you as a person so we can relate to you more. What is your daily ritual? What is it that you do every day? Like on average, your average perfect day.
Every, every the day I begin, I begin to what Am I able to do today to make people understand? This is a wonder. This is the life. And too short. The time spent not to be happy, strong and healthy. This is. I'm contemplating. I was. I was awakened half past three this morning contemplating what is the best way. How do we approach.
The system, the media, etc. How to get to make people understand that there are simple techniques making people able to grasp their inner physiology again. And the interaction with nature to become. You know, it's a. It's so great to be alive. So what I do. I swam today in the pool. I got a pool nowadays. So water, I like to. And it's going to be, you know, colder and colder.
Nice. I think we're gonna test it out in a bit. That's nice.
Have some fun with cold water.
Cold water, Yeah.
I do some exercises. I know how to bend my body in strange ways. And that's because I maintained it well in that order.
I'm thinking, what am I going to do this winter? I think naturally it's September now. It's getting to the end of September. Then October, like England. It's a lot of rain and autumn and all that. And the body is beginning to shut down like the trees. Yeah. The temperature is going down. So I'm awakening the winter body. I always say, let's make. Let's be the master of your body and make the winter like summer. Being able to swim outside, to go in shorts outside and all that. That's my thing. I like to go in Kilimanjaro, a new expedition with 26 people going in shorts in the record time. Going up. Yeah, that's me that I always look. There's so much more life, man. And I just want to discover. And whenever you feel. You feel this discovery drive within that you love life. And this conversation is about love. Love for life. Life is love. The real thing. Deeper in, within a week.
Nice.
That's me, man. I'm just exclaiming this. This is my daily ritual.
Right.
Trying to get it over.
Let's go into, like the practical side of it. So what would you have for breakfast? Would you have breakfast?
No, no breakfast, no lunch. Only in the night.
What time do you eat?
After 6 o'. Clock.
Why is.
Why. Is there any reason it's good for the body to not digest all the time. It's like a fast.
So it's an intermittent fast.
Yeah.
There's a lot of science showing the intermittent fasting.
Yes.
Eating everything.
I do it already for 35 years. I got a lot of Energy and that's because of the breathing. So if we. If we take it. You know the food thing. Food is energy. If you able by a technique, breathing technique to produce. To interfere into the cell production of energy. And then you don't need so much food because your oxygen gets into the cell producing more energy. And it has been proven in the university, we are able to produce a lot more energy within the cell by.
Dusting the father breath.
So learn to consciously. Deeper breathing.
During the day is making your cell productive energy.
Being stimulated and you will need. I think we got a solution somehow for the food problem in the world.
Eat less. Breathe more.
Eat less. Breathe more. We even got a T shirt.
I like that.
It says freeze and you look around and you see breathe.
I like it.
I don't know if we can say.
It what you want. There's no.
But Eat Less, Breathe More is another T shirt.
I like that. You can have that one.
Right on. Thank you. No trademark. No.
No trademark. You can have no contracts. No trademark. That's free.
Not yet.
Wait till you get.
We get into the power thing.
So do you like.
Okay.
There's a lot of people obsessing about food, diet, nutrition. Are you like a. Hey, cutie. Are you. Are you obsessed with food, nutrition, diet? Do you take vitamin supplements?
No, no, no. Yeah, yeah. Just breathe.
Just breathe. That's your. That's your breathing.
And more vegetarian.
You're vegetarian?
Sort of a vegetarian style.
Look at it. In the prehistorics. In the prehistorics, we were not killing all the time. You know, deers and mammoths and all these animals, sometimes we ate. That's the way we are built. We are omnivores, not carnivores. We take it all, but a lot less. A lot less meat. And I think nowadays with the nutrition, the values where we don't need to too much. I don't know.
Too much meat creates a. It's wrong for their PhD. But I don't care. You know, I care for the animals, but I don't care what you eat. It's up to you, man. Just get your Ph degree within the body. Right? That's what I tell. And breathing doesn't. So this discussion about food, that's not on me. I just eat once a day for 35 years and the rest is breathing.
So what would you eat? What's your typical dinner?
Mostly vegetarian.
Mostly vegetarian.
Yes.
So like vegetables?
Vegetables, Beans.
I like pasta.
You like pasta?
Yeah, yeah, I like it. And. Yeah, that's it.
Cool.
That's it.
Simple meal.
What about Sleeping, sleeping, sleeping. If you are able to tap into the the nervous system and we approved to do so, you are able to tap into the parasympathetic nervous system, which is the bringer of sleep and going deep into your dreams and work it out during the night. And because it is so clear that you are going into this part of the nervous system, then it works out very fast. So you need less time spent for sleep.
Oh, so you get a deeper sleep after doing the method.
Yes.
Wow.
The exercises they do that they bring in the right ph degree in the, in the body. And that means acidic in the stomach. And for the rest it's alkaline. And that's what the breathing does. And then the nervous system, who is handling the action and the sleep, the peace and the action is very clear a part of it. If you have too much stress hormone still in the body, when you want to go to sleep, you're not following asleep and you cannot go deeply into the sleep. It's logic. So take, put these two apart of the action. Action is for while the day is going on. Sleep is there while the night is going on. This is the way it works into a metabolism and on cell level. Because a peace is needed. If you have a deep sleep, then in the morning you wake up, you got a lot of energy. And that's simply because the cell generative energy is only done when there is peace in the body. When there is absence of stress hormone.
Then it rehabilitates all the energy and it takes away all the, all the shit of the day.
Now these breathing techniques, they bring about the right ph values in the body.
Wow.
And therefore it connects directly with the nervous system. We have shown to go into the autonomic nervous system and just in a matter of a couple of days. Like these guys. Hey, who went on the mountain with me after four days? Minus 27, that means oxygen combustion energy action. And they slept very well during the night.
Amazing.
And we had some beers and we drank it.
So you can still have fun while you do.
Oh yeah, man. It's big time fun.
So this is, this is also another benefit to this is that you can actually protect yourself against things that may cause, you know, intoxication. Yeah.
Makes a body which is acidic, is toxic.
Yeah.
And then finally, if it's too long a time, you get sick because it deregulates even the DNA and the cell biology. And if it is done too long a time.
So the good news is. Yeah, the good news is just by learning these simple techniques that you've got. You can actually enjoy a can of Coke now and then if you want.
Enjoy life. That's the most important thing.
Moderation.
And learn to trust that your body is able to bring about the right chemistry. And what is the right chemistry? I think it's love.
Yeah.
And if I divide love, it's happiness, strength and health.
And now we can bring that for any person.
So we're going to be obviously going to be training with you today and we're going to do a, you know, we're going to monitor like before and after how you feel and, and I've been training with your method already for the last three months. I've been using it, yeah, every, every other day. I think it's really powerful.
It's really simple, very easy to use.
And I've really definitely found a lot of benefits from the, the cold therapy as well.
Right.
I do that in a nice cold plunge bath. But that brings me on to just actually this. Let's just talk about the method now. Let's, let's just kind of break it down like, you know, what, what is it that you're actually doing? What is it that you're teaching people? Because it's clearly this is a replicable process. Anyone?
Three things.
So.
One is the call or temperature could be heat as well. I've run without prior training, a full marathon in the cold, in shorts. Beyond polo, circa in January and also in the desert in the heat, I learned to deal with the temperature. Temperature impact, which is stress on the body very much. Extreme cold is stress on the body. Extreme heat, stress on the body, deprivation of oxygen, like being on Mount Everest or Kilimanjaro too fast is also stress on the body. But stress daily is also stress.
We don't know how to deal with that.
The chronic stress. Yes, emotional stress.
Chronic stress. It comes in like a thief in the night and you don't know he's there, but he's stealing all the goods away. And we have found a way to learn how to deal with stress. So we take on the cold. The cold is one mirror to see if you are able to deal with the force, which is cold on the body, which is stress. Are you able to neutralize the, the impact of the cold and what we do then gradually we let the body adapt to work. Its natural ability to cope with this stress factor, in this case the cold. Once you are able to cope with the cold, it takes a week. Cold showers after a hot one.
Okay.
Then the vascular system is reacting. It gets back in its natural Condition which is being able to resist from cold. I mean, ice cold. Even then you are not only able to deal with the cold stress, but also the heat stress. Also deprivation of oxygen, also daily stress. Because we have shown that the cold brings about scientifically more adrenaline. If you do it gradually. No forcing. There's no forcing involved. You just return to your natural condition of your body and you use the cold to bring you to the natural condition. Then.
These people lying in bed with the breathing and the cold were able to produce more adrenaline stress hormone now controlled more than somebody in the first time going into a bungee jump. That means that's the cold.
Yeah. So let me just. So some people might get worried about producing more adrenaline. And, you know, because the sympathetic nervous system is associated with stress. Don't worry. This method doesn't create chronic stress. What it is, is it's controlled stress. So if you imagine when somebody gets an allergic reaction like to nuts, one of the things they'll do is they'll give them an EpiPen, which is epidural, which is a short boost of adrenaline to the heart. And that will suppress the immune system so they don't get the reaction. What you're doing is you're creating a natural stress response that controls the immune system to protect against bacterial infection or. Yes, things like that. Yeah. How does your method help for people with autoimmune conditions where the immune system's gone over.
Overactive immune systems. And that's autoimmune disease, diseases. And that means the disease of Crohn, rheumatism. Yeah, Mississippi. And many more. This is a modern. It's because of the stress. Long time creating a wrong PH levels within the body and thus.
The immune system. The DNA deregulates and begins to. He thinks things are going on. There's nothing going on. And he is still doing it. That's autoimmune. So we have shown by this method that people within 15 minutes after being injected with a bacteria, which is doing the same thing as autoimmune disease, it's.
Mimicking the fact that it's creating an immune response.
Overactive immune response.
Yes.
And within a quarter of an hour, they had complete control. And that means control over the adrenaline controlled stress hormone within the body. Works like medicine.
Wow.
And it taps in deeply into the immune system. So that's all about the stress hormone producing more stress hormone control than somebody in fear going into a bungee jump. That's having a shot, you doing it within yourself. Then directly afterwards when the body resets because an overactive immune system is no good. No. It resets the body within and then all the PH levels are right and the system works again the way it should. And that means.
No disease coming in feeling strong, happy and healthy. Wow. That's it.
So from my understanding of the methods as I've done the course, it's a mixture of breath work, breathing, some visualization techniques and cold therapy. Is that right? Is that the three kind of pillars of.
Yes.
Of your method?
Exactly.
So there's. There's been some. I studied a lot of pranayama in the. When I was very sick because I was. Obviously that was my mission. Trying to heal myself without. Without the drugs because they weren't working anymore.
As a pharmacist.
As a pharmacist.
Yeah.
That's great.
Which is awesome. And so I. I learned a lot about the vagus nerve and the. The vagus nerve is a nerve that runs literally it connects our consciousness with our unconscious mind and runs through it is linked to pretty much every major organ. And it's the control of. This is what you've been shown on the study to have, right?
Yes.
Yeah.
So exactly. It's. But it's not about me anymore. We did it in a comparative study with people without prior training in the cold or breathing or. Or focusing like visualization ET and then four days later they were very able to control their vague nerve which is the controller, which is the part of the autonomic nervous system. And now it's no longer autonomic.
Yeah. For a long time science says that we can't control our autonominosis. This is what happens on autopilot. But what you've shown on the scientific study is that you can get a group of people.
Exactly.
All learn to consciously control their autonomic knowledge.
And that means you, anybody who is looking at this. We are able to control. Tap in into the autonomic nervous system related to the immune system and endocrine system. Makes us, you know, we are able to master our body this time. Yes. Scientifically proven. Thousands of results. Takes still a time to change our minds of dependency to doctors, pharmacies and pills and this and that. Blah blah, blah, blah. Just go within and you find will find out that you are able to control what makes you feel good, healthy and strong.
Yeah.
Simple.
And how longer do you need to do this? A day?
What is it? Maybe 20 minutes or something?
Just 20 minutes is. We need 20 minutes everyone.
Reset the body. Yeah, just reset the body. The body is already there. Our natural state of Our body, which is a beautiful condition after millions of years of development, if it is awakened in its depth and we have shown this that everybody is able to do that, then you will be strong, healthy and happy. You'll have connection with those systems who create mood, which is the endocrine system, power, which is the endocrine system. Health, the immune systems. It takes about 20 minutes to get into the deeper layers of the brain. And we can explain all the physiology now, but we don't need it, just get into it, do it. It's simple, it's for you. We want to bring love.
Consisting by strength, power and health. I think it's a great thing to do that together it's the same thing. You come from England today, I just met you. We are on the same page because we just want to benefit human mankind. Every individual in the world saying it is easy, it is simple, it is.
Science to give the power back. And so there's a whole new field of research now into this vagus nerve and the power the vagus nerve has. And the control of it gives you so much self control over your own immune system system. But people are spending like I think glaxo just got 50 million dollar funding for a startup for creating an electrical device.
Yeah. The neurostimulator.
Yeah, yeah. But what we're dealing with here is that this is a free technique that anyone can learn.
I don't see machines hanging in the air, you know. Yeah. 250, 150, 175.
Yeah.
No, it's for free.
It's free.
Happiness, strength and health is for free. Freedom, man.
Fantastic man.
Yeah.
So what we're going to do is we're going to actually we're going to train for a bit with Wim and then we're going to talk about what actually happens. Exactly one hour after doing the WIM HOF method. And we're going to go into the deeper science of why this works.
Right on.
And how it can be used and for a whole variety of benefits.
Yes.
So Wim, very excited. Should we get on it?
Yes, sir.
