In this video, Paridhi Dhingra interviews Law of Attraction coach and bestselling author Mitesh Khatri, who outlines a simple three‑step practice for developing self‑awareness. Step 1 involves setting a recurring alarm (every two hours) and asking, “What am I feeling right now?” and writing down the emotions, to counteract the common inability to recognize one’s own feelings. Step 2 expands awareness to thoughts: regularly ask, “What am I thinking?” and journal those thoughts, emphasizing the distinction between the self and mental content, a skill cultivated by monks through meditation. Step 3 adds purpose by asking whether the identified feelings or thoughts should be changed, and deciding what new feeling or thought is desired, thereby linking self‑awareness to actionable motivation. Khatri then promotes his “Daily Magic Practice” – a 30‑day, Monday‑to‑Friday evening program costing the equivalent of two vada pav per day – designed to deepen these practices and help viewers attract their goals. The video concludes with calls to subscribe, share, and join the course.

Hey, today we are going to talk about how do you practice self-awareness. A lot of people talk about self-awareness, but now it's important to understand how do we practice self-awareness. Let's get into that. Hi, my name is Mitesh Khatri. I'm a Law of Attraction coach and national bestselling author of the book The Law of Attraction. Self-awareness is very simple if you know the steps. Here is step number 1. Instead of just going through emotions, always ask yourself this question and quickly write down the answer. By doing this exercise every two hours, in fact, put an alarm in your phone for every two hours for self-awareness. What do you do in that self-awareness time of every two hours? Ask yourself this question: What am I feeling right now? Simple. What am I feeling right now? And write down those emotions. Why? Do you know a lot of people are not even aware enough to remember what they are feeling or to realize what they are feeling? Example: Sometimes people are feeling low. You go to them and ask them, "क्या हुआ?" And they say, कुछ नहीं। I say, नहीं कुछ तो हुआ है क्या हुआ? They say, पता नहीं। अरे आपको नहीं पता तो किसको पता? You are feeling and you only don't know what you're feeling. This is called lack of self-awareness. So step one starts from asking me or asking myself, what am I feeling? Write it down. Okay, that's step number one. Step number two, self-awareness is a lot also about what am I thinking and writing my thoughts down. Why? A lot of times we believe that I and my thoughts are one. It's not true. We are separate, our thoughts are separate, and we can actually see a gap between it the more aware we are. So monks who meditate a lot, they're very, very high in self-awareness. Why? Because they're constantly meditating and seeing a difference between themselves and their thoughts. But you don't necessarily have to meditate 10 hours a day for that kind of awareness. You can develop that awareness by asking yourself the second simple question: What am I thinking? And write down those thoughts. And now comes the third and the most important step: Do I want to change what I am feeling? Do I want to change what I am thinking? Ultimate self-awareness is the purpose of self-awareness. Why am I being self-aware? Because I want to take some action. If your mind believes that there is no purpose of self-awareness, then your mind will not be motivated for self-awareness. Example, the word motivated means motive for action. No motive, no motivation. So your mind will not be motivated to be self-aware if you don't do step 3. What is the step 3? Ask yourself, whatever I was feeling, do I want to change that? And what do I want to feel now? Whatever I was thinking, is it helping me? Do I want to change that thinking now? Now you have a purpose of self-awareness, and as a result of that Your ability to be self-aware will grow more and more and more.
